hi, i'm just confused about this. i started studying transits recently and i think i have heard here and there, but just in a vague referrence, that a transit from a planet can activate that planet in your own chart.. for example, chiron is right on my mercury/mars conjunction right now and i am having not only healing issues that pertain to my communication and drive (which i DEFINITELY FEEL!) but also i do feel that my chiron itself is being activated or challenged.. it's in taurus in the 4th and i'm having major fears with regard to security and that i deserve love and family. it's really been increasing the last month or so.. and i just started a long distance relationship of sorts so it isn't the best timing for these fears to be coming up so much!!

but my chiron itself is not receiving a transit, so my question is, is it really possible that it is being activated like this? or am i just loopy? also, does anyone know how it works? the feeling is definitely different from the mercury/mars, which i feel.. it really has to do with security and family and self-worth issues.. so i am quite sure i am feeling this "activation" if this is in fact what is happening.

I read long ago, when I began studying this art, that one must first look to the natal planets in reading transits....

How active is a planet in one's chart (the query of the transiting planet) and what role does the tplanet play in the natal chart.

I do not study tChiron, personally, old fashioned am I, but I think what you are feeling is quite vaild!

oh! so are you saying that the transiting planet should be sort of looked at as though through a filter of understanding it as it relates to the planet's energy in your natal chart??
