okay, i personally think the north node is the most significant part of one's chart.. it's all about potential, learning a healthy balance and really coming into one's own..

that said, i find virgo north node a little difficult to deal with (but incredibly rewarding when i do, by really embracing virgoness) because i find it hard to fault pisces.. i think pisces is the sweetest darn energy in the world and i feel so guilty sometimes for trying to escape her.. heh.. really tho.. i sometimes feel that the 12th house/pisces is incredibly misunderstood, and that in some ways, "delusion" in love or whatever (common theme in my life; i'm accused of seeing my lovers throo rose coloured glasses, etc.), is often more a matter of having a richer, deeper understanding that eludes any typical ways of looking at things..

but i also understand that one must participate in *this* world, as it is, right now, in order to bring about the ideal that pisces already understands.. and i do see that as my main lesson in this life. also, my north node is conjunct my saturn, so the tests and lessons in my life are a plenty..

my son is also a 6th house north node (leo), which thrills me, to share these lessons with him.

you don't know anything about your north node, woman!?! wow, you're in for a treat..

hmm.. i'll try to find a link for you, but most descriptions i've read on the net are only so-so inspiring. if you can afford it, you MUST go buy Astrology for the Soul by jan spiller. it's amazing..

So...I have my North Node in Pisces in 6. And yep to me it gives trouble when I finally reached the stage of Pisces I don't believe I am there and go back to do it all over again. Trying my very best to overanalyze and stuff while all I should do is 'let go'. This is só, só interesting.

You know what's interesting as well to me? I have met 'the one' as some of you might know (sounds romantic and silly maybe but it's true ) and my North Node is on top of his MC (his North Node is also in 6 btw in Cap). I am finding that we help each other extremely (obviously). He helps me for instance with the go with the flow kind of thing. Gosh, I could go on like this for hours but....I won't. There is just too much to say about this. Maybe another time!

The opposite (south Node)is always exactly on the opposite in your chart but it won't show in astro.com though. Hope it helps!

to answer yourzes questions, i'll tell you what the two professional astrologers who answered that same question from me (when i first discovered the nodes last fall) said: they said there is "true" node, and there is "mean" node. neither of these *are* the north or south node, but they are usually within a degree of n. and s. nodes, and shouldn't matter in terms of interpretation (unless, i suppose, they were on a cusp?)..

so that is the explaination i have internalized, and i have to say, my nodes fit me to a T (what ever that expression means), as well as everyone else's whom i know intimately.
