When really her head was the quiet place, she realized that when she opened the curtain to let the light in. Outside were two people, dressed like gypsies, playing bongos... wearing glyphs suspended by twine around their necks....

Her name was Jeanine... sigh... what could one say about jeanine...

Her sandy brown hair was streaked in a honey blonde color that curled till the middle of her back like a mermaid. Her ocean colored eyes seemed to be sparkling brightly, even though they gave a sort of dreamy look to her. As if she lived on a vague rainbow in a Lewis Carroll world.

Infact... at times it seemed that she did live on a Lewis Carroll rainbow, far far away from reality.

(did i go too much)

Just then, Jean's celly rang, and it was her astrologer, Ernesto, calling from Paris. He was busy assisting with a new translation of Hammurabi's Law Code at the Musée du Louvre. He spoke wearily, "Girl, please forgive me, I made some mistakes on your chart. You're actually a Triple Pisces with Venus there too, and your Mercury and Mars are in Leo."

"Impossible," she exclaimed. "Mercury, you told me, can never be more than, like, 40° from your Sun. You must mean Aries."

"Aries! What did I just say?"

"Leo...so I have Mercury and Mars in Aries?"

"Yes, quite, and you're Pisces Rising...I used p.m. instead of a.m...ah, I have not got much sleep recently. I just saw an old episode of I Dream of Jeannie on the telly here in the lab, and I thought I had better call. I have known for a few months, I wish I had called you earlier."

"Uh, yes, so do I. I would have gotten along better with that last Scorpio I went with. So now my opposite sign is a Virgo, huh? This really changes...well, everything..."

"Yes...well, please forgive me, I..."

"Oh no...it's, it's fine...I think I prefer to be the final sign, and a Water girl...I don't think I was really cracked up to be such an Airy creature...you know, I always seem to have everyone tell me all their problems over and over, so I kind of thought I must be a Pisces...and a Triple one, wow...pretty gnarly...well, thank you for the call, have fun with those Frenchies."

"Yes, and I'll call you when I get back to the States...ciao."

"Ciao."

Jeannie slapped her clamshell shut and sighed. She looked around the room for her

She turned the lamp on and the shadows receded. To her right was a man, just in the doorway, framed by stucco and mouldings, like he'd stepped out of a quaint Italian villa, and not the linoleum of the kitchen. The planes of his features were carved on his face with a sculptor's precision, and she surprised herself by letting out a strangled gasp in her throat. It was the man she'd met just weeks earlier, at a gallery showing. She'd learned then that he was a

Captain of the Queens Royal Navy, as well as a yoga instructor. She couldn't decide which one she found more intriging, but she did know one thing for certain, and that was that he was going to break her heart. Oh yes, it was inevitable, and she knew this because she had seen HIS chart. What, with his.....

What was it about this stranger? What could be said about this broodingly handsome passionate rebel?

Was it his hypnotic sapphire eyes that mesmerized every woman from nine to ninety? Or was it in his sensually ample lips that could melt the woman whose lips they touched?
He was a sensual combination of Irish as well as Celtic features. With a thick yet silky mane of ebony that fell beautifully till his shoulders and a skin that was a few shades away from being translucent, he was certainly a stunner. His well-chiseled face was modeled in such a way that he could choose when or when not to display an expression.

His body was lean and athletic, yet powerful from within. In his six-foot two-inch frame he made a commanding figure.

"Do I know you from somewhere?" Jeanine asked, unable to avoid the intensity of his eyes

(amending the dialogue)

"Remember me?" He asked Jeanine, staring at her with his intense eyes that spoke of hushed desires.

Jeanine gulped before she replied, "Why ofcource i remember you, Capt. Liam O'Connell."

She continued, still enamoured by his presence, "We met at the art gallery in the city, where the in house artist payed a tribute to the navy"

"... and of course, I have always liked dark blue... but was so surprised someone would put on a exhibition of it."
He looked puzzled, and she broke the silence on his features by asking,
"Why is it you are standing in my living room?"
" Oh, you see, a few weeks ago, you had invited the people who were at the gallery to your house afterward... and I remembered the address.. wrote it down here, you see..." He held up a crumpled piece of paper, worn at the edges, as if he'd had it in his pocket that long, or read it over, a thousand times.
"It seemed you didn't hear my knock, so I thought I'd walk the short distance across the room and say hello."
For some reason, this didn't faze her. She found it quite endearing. She sensed the sincerity in his voice and gaze. She gathered the memories of that evening in her mind, fuzzy with the celebratory champagne she'd consumed.... What was his sun sign again... dare she guess?

Well he certainly seemed like an eagle, but with the sensuality of a bull... however somewhere within lurked a shy goat, or could it be mistaken for a mercury ruled virgin?

"Oh how rude of me," realizing she was once again lost in a pisces dream, "May i get you a drink?"

"Thanks, I'd like that." he replied with a boyish twinkle in his eye.

She smiled and turned, heading towards the kitchen...returning after a few minutes with a smile of embarrasment

"I'm really sorry, but i seem to have forgotten to update all my groceries, hence im kinda like mother hubbard with a bare cupboard..." she babbled, feeling a lil tense

A soft smile came up on his face, more serene than sexy, "Well... there's this quaint thai restaurant thats near the gallery we met at. I'd love to take you out to dinner."

"I'd love that"

She quickly dismissed thoughts of asking him to "Get this poor dog a bone"
And, as was her style, she looked stunning already, all at home, not expecting to go anywhere... but here she was, looking fabulous enough to go out for dinner at a moments notice, with a sexy man she knew brifly. (This is a story, right?)

The restaurant was not particularly fancy, but it had a positive aura about it that was accentuated with all the zen decor and all the feng shui.

Since Jeanine realized that she was allergic to certain thai ingredients they decided to go to an Indian one

A pleasant woman in a silk sari escorted them to a cozy corner table and offered them a choice between an English menu and a Hindi menu. Jeanine chose the Hindi menu, “Humein Hindi bahut acchi tarah se aati hai!”

Liam was bedazzled by that, she didn’t even seem to have an American accent when she spoke that.

The staff was enamored by her and treated her as if she was their favorite patron.
They served Jeanine and Liam complimentary Lassi, a drink comprising mainly of buttermilk and numerous dry fruits and numerous garnishes. Liam found it the most delicious thing ever and ordered a double.
Jeanine ordered a sumptuous meal of Aloo Parantha’s (an Indian bread that was stuffed with potatoes), Amritsari Kukad (a chicken dish that was believed to have originated from the Indian city, Amritsar), and a serving of Kadhai Paneer (a creamy and delicious concoction of cottage cheese and numerous spices).

The Host, a Mr. Gurvinder Singh Khera personally came to their table to greet them. He was a jolly robust man in a turban with a glorious moustache and beard, wearing a traditional Indian garment known as a Kurta Pajama.

“Sat Sri Alak Sardarji!” Jeanine greeted the man, who was taken aback by her.

“Sat Sri Alak Biba!” the man replied merrily.

“Humein Punjabi ziada nahin aati, lekin humein Hindi bahut acchi tarah aati hai.”

“Koi gal nahin Biba, Tussi khub mauj masti karo.” He was glowing. It was so rare to find an American who spoke his mother tongue so fluently.

“Khaana bahut changa hai!” she said smiling sweetly.

The man began to blush and told the waiter to serve them another round of Lassi, and informed Jeanine that their dessert was on the house.

“Shukriaji, Sat Sri Akal!”
Jeanine ordered Gaajar da Halwa (a delicious carrot based pudding) and two bowls of Kheer (a rice and milk preparation that Liam couldn’t get enough of).

When they left the restaurant, Liam could help but ask about how come she could speak the language so fluently.

“Well, you see…” she began, “My dad was in the army. Since I was his only child and all, he didn’t want me to be shacked up in some military academy. So he took me wherever he went, and everywhere I went, I learnt the native language.”

“Interesting, what other native languages do you know?” he asked

“Well, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Urdu, German, French, and bits and pieces of Greek.” She replied as if she were talking about something trivial.

Liam was impressed. "You’ve also been to the countries from where they are spoken?”

“Yeah, my dad was in the army, hence we moved throughout the world.”

“Must have been fun.”

“Depends on your definition of fun.” She asked him to stop his car as they had reached her apartment.

“I’d like to see you again sometime.” He said, fixing his sapphire eyes upon her emerald ones.

She smiled, “You believe in destiny?”

He nodded.

“Well, if fate brings us together then we shall meet again indeed.”

With that she turned and entered the apartment building.

(Well she is a pisces...and they are full of surprises)

*takes the reigns and redirects the thread back on track*

As she walked up the stairs to her suite, digesting her meal, along with the events of the day, she became aware of the smile on her lips, causing her to burst out into a self amused chuckle..."Gawd, I'm so pathetic...He's only a dude. Probably another closet monster, like all the rest", she told herself. Still, she couldn't shake the feeling that something important was about to happen to her.

"I better take another look at his natal. Something is up with that mysterious dude with the bulging 8th house. What is it?"
