I know we have several folks out there who are great on the fly with interpretations. Would someone please have a look at this and give me some insight. A friend is having some issues w/ this person and asked me to take a look. Unfortunately I'm not nearly as astute at this as many here are. I guess my questions relate to repsonsibility, maturity levels, etc. Thanks! I would say that this person is pretty insecure, and has probably had some difficulties in his/her life, also probably independant and someone who doesn't like being told what to doIP: Logged |

Hi Isis,The first things to pop out at me with this chart were, all of the 12th house planetary energy, the Mystic Rectangle, and Moon conjunct Asc. Uranus, Mars and Pluto conjunt in the 12th? Whoa! And the moon there too? What was going on with his mother when he was born? The mother figures prominently in this individuals life. It looks like this person had a difficult childhood. "The twelfth is frequently what I am not, what I do not do. Traditionally, it is described as self-undoing, hidden enemies, including karma, bondage, prisons, hospitals, ashrams, monasteries, institutions, places of research. In case you haven't guessed, if you want a life of fame, fortune, or political power without self-examination, the furniture in the 12th house is definitely all wrong, and the location has bad feng shui. Planets in the 12th are not weak or weakened. It is the house of the risen Sun. They are very powerful, although the person may be strangely oblivious to the strength of the influence Charts with three or more planets in the 12th house, or one of the lights and an angular house ruler posited in this house, are frequently found among physicians, nurses, professors and others who work in hospitals or universities. A well-tenanted 12th house is also common among writers who must spend time alone working with their imagination and their mind, tuning into the muses. Very talented, very tragic people, like Judy Garland and Janis Joplin, and the notorious propagandist, Tokyo Rose, had many planets in their 12th houses." "Putting this in plain terms - if your birth Moon is in the 12th house, then there's a strong chance that your birth mother (Moon) may have been going through some very emotionally difficult times just prior to or after your birth... or... becoming a wee bit foggy, again... there may be some of sort hidden sacrifice surrounding the archetypal image of "The Mother." But if Mom was going through some hard times - then don't even try to kid yourself... It will be something you'll eventually have to deal with in your own life and in your own fears... The 12th house is the house of limitations, the subconscious, hidden strengths, endings, and sorrows or frustrations." This chart shows me someone who has alot of emotional hangups. He wants close, intimate contacts with people, but he tends to keep people at arm's length because he is afraid he will become obligated to them. "You are a mass of contradictions: making demands on people but complaining when they do the same to you; expecting others to make overtures to you and withdrawing when they do; hoping for warm social contacts, but severing ties before they can be established. When you do succeed in forming a close relationship, you rarely make any commitment of your affection until you have been assured that the feeling is mutual. Although you are highly imaginative, you react to stimulating people in a generally negative and critical way. You are so emotional that it is nearly impossible for you to make a fair evaluation of people's motives toward you. On the surface you are independent, but you yearn for a quieter role in which you can enjoy the comfort of knowing that someone really cares for you. Moon rising people sometimes approach the world revealing the part of themselves which is a needy child, wanting to be protected and cared for. " Mars/Uranus cojunct shows someone with a short fuse, his patience is not great, but this is often hidden and not channeled properly - being placed in the 12th. There is a very high energy level within this person, that must find a positive outlet. There are alot of 'psychic' indicators in the chart. Also, indicators of a "strange, unusual or unorthodox sexuality, which can manifest as a slightly eccentric conditioning as well as include all forms of what is considered sexual perversion." Okay, now for the Mystic Rectangle. I dont know a whole lot about this 'grand aspect' but find it interesting. The planets involved in this chart are: Moon, Sun, Saturn, Neptune. In the 1st/12th cusp, 2nd house, 6th, and 8th houses. Ultimately, I see someone with alot of powerful planetary energies going on - that may not be being channeled correctly. Alot of gifts that need work and positive outlets. "A Mystic Rectangle is formed when two pairs of oppositions are sextile each other. The result is an aspect pattern that includes two sextiles, two trines and two oppositions. A Mystic Rectangle will always be in the same polarity, either masculine (Air and Fire) or feminine (Earth and Water). This is another "soft" aspect pattern in that it does not generate friction, discomfort or a need to take action. What a Mystic Rectangle does offer, however, is an extremely strong sense of balance and structure, of harmony between the four planets involved. Finding this balance is not a given it will still take conscious effort and awareness. However, working with the Trines and the Sextiles will help to make more sense of and find the point of integration for the two oppositions. Working with a Mystic Rectangle takes some practice because in order for it to hold up, all four planets must be working together and supporting each other. It is common for individuals with Mystic Rectangles to struggle with the two Oppositions, see-sawing back and forth between the opposing planets. Once the point of balance has been found, however, it becomes increasingly easy to maintain, and a well integrated Mystic Rectangle can be the most unflappable of aspect patterns. Once an individual has integrated a Mystic Rectangle, it represents a core of strength for them, and a solid foundation that can be a great gift in handling whatever else life throws at them." Hope that helps in some way. ~26 IP: Logged |

My adopted little brother, Aqua with Leo moon/12th house, had a mother who abandoned him in diapers and has emotional problems. He isn't too happy around his birth mom, but his adopted mom is pretty good.Moon on the ascendant will have strong emotional needs, and needs direction first from a loved one who is totally committed. Lovers will have a strong Cancerian signature. Natasha Taurus Cancer Moon IP: Logged |

Hey 26Taurus -I noticed that MR too, but what would the average orb be for those 4 points? I was staring at it trying to make sense of it, and it didn't seem like it was within orb, and then I couldn't remember what they said about MR's & orbs... ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

Was reading online and stumbled across this little tid bit. It made me think of what 26T said about the moon placement. quote: The placement of the Moon in your birth chart is very significant from a karmic perspective, as it indicates the accumulated karmic tendencies, both positive and negative, that you carry from your past incarnated experiences on earth. While the Sun reveals your intended purposes and lessons for this present life cycle, the MOON represents what you have already done and developed, hence, what is instinctive and natural to you, and what you tend to do over and over again. Your childhood is also reflected in the Moon's placement, as it is through those childhood circumstances that any unresolved past-life issues are re-stimulated. Your subconscious predisposition is indicated by the Moon's position. It is the psychic imprint of the past. The nodes of the Moon describe behavior patterns from the past, as well as delineating a direction out of outworn or overdone behaviors and habits.

Wow 26T, that's pretty spot on in many ways from what I can tell, and explains a lot of the behavior. Overall great interpretation! That's why I love Astrology IP: Logged |

this person has four planets in ONE house. ok, let me be blunt.he/she may possibly be insane, or at least have many emotional problems. the planets are in the 12th, a tough but important place for planets. the eclipses of may 2004 probably knocked this person for a loop..and transiting neptune is starting to square his/her sun, adding confusion. transiting uranus is going to oppose all those 12th house energies soon, and that should knock this person out pretty hard, too. after that, T uranus CONJUNCTS the N saturn..that's a toughie. (made me move to the other side of the USA.) i dont think i could possibly interpret any better than 26taurus did. i would also like to know the source of the interpretations 26taurus quoted, as i like the way they are written and if it is from a book, i'd like to get that particular book. take care, mermaid

What if the world were divided up into two categories: Those who can cope, and those you cannot cope. Those who can cope may not necessarily be living their life "authentically" (a little pop psych there)... and maybe the people who cannot cope are not losers, or crazy, but just have a unique way of coping. And what's a diploma, you know? There's more memorization than learning. So I'd rather fumble around in life learning real life experiences - so the .f. what?!! You'll be 60 years old and screwed by the system. I'll be 60 years old and screwed by those damn baztards I keep dating. You don't have to have a lot of planets in the 12th to be this crazy. LOL, this person isn't the mass murdering type, although does have explosive anger, but was apparently taught at a young age to manage it fairly well. They don't break things, hit walls, nor people when they get angry. But this person can get "Manson Eyes" when they lose their temper. There certainly is a lot that lies beneath the surface that I think this native just can't access - we at first though it was the Taurean nature of being fixed and stubborn. But now I think maybe the fixed nature just galvanizes the inability to access these 12 house issues. Now that I'm looking at it more, things are starting to click. But I don't really buy into the demonization of any particular sign, aspect or house, mainly because I'm a Scorp and well familiar with fatalistic, negative interpretations that we often get out of so many books. At least Linda made an Eagle/Gray Lizard/Scorpion connection. So many more just minimize the Eagle aspects and focus on the Scorpion-like ones. At least Bob Marks does say, "caring or killer" instead of just, "oh wow, you're screwed"...lol

Oh yeah - and when people try to guess my sign, they almost always say Scorpio first. So that means, behind my back, they're thinking those thoughts too! UH!But I was always surprised by that, and since I always got along with and had Scorpio friends growing up, it became a very empowering complement. IP: Logged |

mermaid,hi, sorry but I was too lazy to post all of the links I used to help me interpret that chart. I can recommend some fab. books to you though. The Inner Sky, by Steven Forrest. (any book by him actually) any book by, Jeffery Wolfe Green, Robert Hand, Isabel M. Hickey, Liz Green, Ronald Davison, Nance McCullough, Joan Negus. ....and I have an empty 12th house, but still, I'm off my rocker. IP: Logged |

I don't have anything in the 12th house, nor the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, or the 10th. I remember how disappointed I was when I first did my chart years ago and saw everything all bunched up on one spot. Now I'm glad. For all my faults, at least my stellium isn't in the "serial killers" house IP: Logged | |
