My friend is a Scorpio with a Gemini Moon and supposedly a Cancer ascendent (but I really think it must be Gemini asc and something went wrong because she is quite Geminian).
Anyway, she really has a thing for this Libra guy who we sort of know, but I don't know whether that kind of relationship would work. I know its 2-12 but I've never heard of a Scorp/Libra relationship before and can't find much information on it.

So any information on how this relationship would work or if they would ever get to know each other better etc.. would be helpful.

Thanks
Doogie

We've talked about the Scorpio/Libra liason before and I've heard very positive things.

Do you know why, in Love Signs, Linda says which Sun Sign patterns are trine etc and conjunct etc but doesn't catergorise either a 6-8 realtionship or the more relevant 2-12? Is this because they are not worth listing or... aren't they either harmonious or disharmonious etc?

I didn't think Librans were naturally attracted to Scorpios. I suppose it depends on the individual charts. But hey for my friend, I hope its good- and for Virgos- I've always had a soft spot for Librans

The preceding sign always has something to learn from the succeeding one. {Karmically}
So says Linda.
I find Libras wonderful, and I believe the feeling is mutual.

I know that "The preceding sign always has something to learn from the succeeding one."

What I'm asking is- Is there any more to it than that? Is the relationship, on the whole, generally positive or negative, in most cases? Does my friend stand any chace getting him to notice her?

For this type of pairing, it will require a very special Libra, perhaps with Scorpian influences.

Whoa, didn't mean to get all high and mighty on your ass, just saying it simply, as in the post before, you expressd that you'd not heard of any context or pairing. My comment was on the whole harmonious/disharmonious comment you had made....didn't mean to imply you didn't know that. And may I ask.. "What's up yer bum? There are tones to posts and your was definately... shall we say "curt".
But perhaps I will elaborate based upon my own experiences.
LOTS of Libras have Scorpio influences in their charts, as do lots of Scorpios have Libra influence....
I have had and continue to have great relationships with Libra lads and lasses.
I get them, they get me, there is a mutual fascination. Sexually, once I get on a Libra,*literally* it seems to open up a whole new world for them. A richer world. They really really like that.
I found sometimes, in my long term libra relationshiop, he was too ready to put blame on himself and not challenge me. Too obedient and harmonious, when I wanted him to be real and tell me his opinion. It was a seemingly martyr thing, and it would really get under my skin.
But if they can communicate, which is essential to any relationship/sign pairing, then they can work through differences.

Is that better for you, or would you like for me to go on and on?

PP, sorry, I'm 14 and it's near my time of the month. Really, sorry. Besides, I reckon I seem to be annoying scorpios I know recently.
This sucks. I'm sick of having to apologise to people because everyone supposes I'm some stuck-up idiot adult.
I'M ONLY 14..... Gee gads... sorry... a lot of pesky stuff's just happened- I'm peeved. And emotionally drained. And my Scorp friend is being really insensitive to my feelings and I'm being way too self-pitying.

Anyway, back to astrology... yes, that was really helpful, honest.
RE: the Libran having Scorpio influences- this is perfect! This Libra in question happens to have Mercury AND Venus in Scorpio and so does my friend!
Oh, and 'richer world' LOL! I can imagine

I actually knew that you were fourteen.... at least on some level... I don't think I recalled that when I wrote it though.
No worries, you aren't the only one who is sensitive lately ( or always .)
Sorry I should have my tolerance levels balanced.. it seems to be my theme for the day.

Is the bickering normal around here??

As for Scorpio and Libra...
We are a perfect match!
Now, I'm sure that dates and times and planets figure into it...but Hubby and I have been together for..gotta think...
Geez Louise...almost 20 Earth Years already!

For ANY relationship to work though, there must be love, trust, honesty and something-oh-so-important Respect. I think that goes for all star signs!

Yep, good ol' love, communication, respect.

Bickering? Show me a family who doesn't bicker.
It shows we are comfortable. Besides, rarely does the bickering become unresolvable.

What pixie said.

"Is the bickering normal around here??" This is earth. I think it's "normal" everywhere.

I often hear that this a rare and one of the most loving sites on the web. We are like a family here. And like any family sometimes we get annoyed with each other and bickering breaks out, but that doesnt mean we love that person any less. We all have our days. And I find that for the most part, we are all pretty forgiving and understanding of each other. LindaLand herself seems to have her own "highs and lows". But the Love far outweighs the bickering.

Stick around. You'll see.

I dunno... I'm a Libra and I do find Scorpios attractive and are good pals with them, but quite a number of sites say that this match won't last long unless the rest of the chart aspects are favorable. Some say it'll end up not unlike the "Fatal Attraction" type of relationship.

http://www.sexualastrology.com/sexual_compatibility_scorpio_libra.html

Scorpio and Libra:

Libra is ruled by Venus and is especially attractive to Scorpio. Libras natural beauty and social graces are what Scorpio secretly desires. These next-door neighbors in the zodiac will share lots of laughter together and go to the hottest parties. You will balance each other out beautifully.
Scorpio provides substance and intensity to Libra. Libra lifts Scorpio out of the darkness and into fun and games. Sexual compatibility is possible here but with Scorpio, it is all or nothing. Libra could find Scorpio’s dark side a little bit extreme. Scorpio may feel the need for more understanding and devotion at times with Libra. Keep a sense of balance and you should be able to survive any stormy periods.

This relationship gets better over time. Libra is someone who will help Scorpio become stylish and get out of the house once in a while. Libra will benefit as well by getting more in sync with the mysterious side of life. Family issues bring financial pressure over time if a marriage occurs.

Compatibility rating: ***

Rating System: ****
It doesn’t get any better than this! Go for it!

***
This sign can teach you more about sex and love relationships.

Think twice because you may live to regret it.

Wow... well, that's all really useful! Um, I guess that's all I needed to know so thanks everyone!

Oh, and as for the family thing- a bit of arguing is healthy! If no one argues... everything gets kind of creepy...

Oh my friend says thanks from her... she has to go and pounce happily on her Libra crush now :S

Well, I must be one of the less fortunate libras as i only have Scorpio in Saturn and in the 4th house.

Anyway, the Scorpios I have met in my life are not the ones that are mentioned in books. In fact when I find out their sign, I was quite shocked to know they are Scorpio. It was the last sign I would have said. Perhaps I have met a 'new breed' of Scorpios? Mmmm...

I'm a Libra and I've been with my Scorpio hubby for 17yrs! Scorps are wonderful, deep, kind and caring. Trust is very important as well as understanding eachother's differences. I work more on being more sensitive when my Scorp is upset and he works on being more outgoing and having fun with other people. We defineately each have lessons to learn from the other but mostly things go smoothly and nice for us.

Wow, this is brilliant! I would never have guessed.
As for the 'new breed', I often think there are two types of every sign... for instance, there are old-fashioned Pisceans and the more outgoing ones... this is probably all a stupid theory but it seems to have worked for me... and for Scorpios... most of them never appear to be Scorpios... I never guess Scorpios.. then one day I in November I found out my school was full of them.. practically my entire year aremostly Scorpios or Saggitarians... scary..

Happy pouncing indeed

I LOVE that interpretation Pixie - at least from my experience it's quite accurate.

Mutable -

Regarding there being "two types of every Sign" - I've thought about that too, and it seems to be brought up in most interpretations although they may not be that obvious. Can you start a new thread on the duality of each Sign?

Obvious examples are Pisces (upstream/downstream), or Gemini (angel/incorrigible) ...

Or me, Libra, peacemaker/argumentive ...

As far as a new and improved version of ANY Sign, isn't that what we are all aiming for regardless of our Sign? Drop it to the Galactic Center -
