Hi Everyone,

I am new to this board and find all of your insights quite facsinating. I'm falling in love with a Pisces man and need advice on how to get to his heart. Everything is going good between us but i feel as if he hasn't fully opened up to me. What are some tidbits that I can tell if he sees a future in me and wants to keep me around? What type of women do Pisces fall for? Just looking for any thoughts, comments or experiences that you have all had..

Hi bella, Welcome to the boards! *waving*

Though it's tough to generalize based on just the sun sign (knowing his Moon, Venus & Mars signs would help), I can tell you a few things since I'm also in love with a Pisces guy who loves me! They're "gentle dreamers", so if you're encouraging when he opens up to you, he'll want to share more & more of his thoughts. They seem to like the "girl next door" type, someone who's down to earth. They're very intuitive and sensitive, so someone who understands that sensitivity is likely to be attractive to them. If you can find out where his other planets are, or at least a birthdate, it would be easier to figure out more about your Pisces.

Hi girls!

The reason I was asking for his Moon, Venus & Mars signs is that, it is said that a man's Moon & Venus signs reveal his preferred type of woman. His Moon sign is "the best indicator of the type of woman he sees as his life partner, the potential mother of his children, and the type he is most comfortable with on an emotional basis." The Venus sign is the best indicator of the type of woman he is attracted to as a romantic partner, and the type most suited for an intimate relationship. If his Moon & Venus are in the same sign, the attraction to that type will be extra strong for him! The Mars sign indicates the type one would feel lust for, and esp. with men, it indicates how they GO AFTER the object of their affections. The Venus indicates how one ACTS to attract the object of their affections.

SparklingSag, for a man with an Aquarius moon or venus, this is what they say:
"The type of woman who attracts him is intelligent, independent, free-spirited, and a good conversationalist. Should she keep him guessing, or be a bit off-beat or unconventional, she'll fascinate him - but if she's too emotional, he'll pass.
Esp. while young, he may be drawn to women who are not really available for a lasting relationship (because of distance or inability to make commitments, or a prior commitment to someone else). This is usually because he may not yet be ready to make lasting commitments, and values his "space" and freedom more than emotional bonds or truly intimate relationships. When he is ready to commit, he will.
Meanwhile, he may be attracted to "free spirits", "space cadets", or even somewhat "strange" women. Idealists or rebels also have a particular appeal to him. Politics may play a part in the attraction. Political foes might make strange bedfellows." Strange, indeed!

My Pisces love has that Aqua Venus too, though his Mars is in Pisces, and Moon in Virgo. I don't know that I see much of that Aqua influence in him... but here's what I've heard about Venus & Mars in different signs:
Apparently, Venus and Mars in Signs of different & incompatible elements (e.g. Fire/Earth, Fire/Water, Air/Earth, or Air/Water) indicate a Love Style which is not consistent and not easily integrated. What you "advertise" is not what you want to deliver, and it may confuse both parties. For instance, Venus in Leo acts like it wants to show off and spend money lavishly. Mars in Virgo or Capricorn doesn't like show-offs and doesn't like to spend money frivolously. That Venus-in-Leo person may attract a Mars-in-Leo lover whose flamboyant style seems attractive; but when the impulsive & attention-seeking Mars-in-Leo lover encounters the cautious and critical Mars-in-Virgo that lives with Venus-in-Leo in that person's horoscope chart, there can be difficulties.

It's complicated stuff, but very interesting, eh?

Hey sunshine,
Thanks for that! really interesting stuff and the guy I wrote about had a long distance relationship with a german girl who had quirky style. So that fits! His mars is in scorpio. I have leo moon/venus and mars in libra so i'm not so watery....but my descendent is cancer so i do like the water type too. I like this guy's aqua moon and his great listening skills! my leo moon likes to talk and I really feel like he is interested and my Saggie sun likes his way of thinking.

Thanks for that Sunshine.

By the way, I noticed you're based inn NC. I'm coming to UNC in August and can't wait. I'm going to be studying there for a year. Great for my Saggie curiosity!

You're quite welcome, SparklingSag! Glad to hear those descriptions fit - cool isn't it, that astrology can help us figure out what makes people tick?!

So he's got Mars in Scorpio - wow! Because, Mars in Scorpio is said to act...
* smouldering...seems to have passions ready to flare any time
* sexy...may have "an animal magnetism"
* intense...seems single-mindedly focused on you, or what they do
* probing...seems to stare into your soul, to sense your secrets
* mesmerizing...draws you in - so deeply you could lose yourself
* powerful...seems strong: a survivor, saviour - or slavemaster.

I'm feeling extra chatty today, so I'm going to ramble on about what else I've pulled up on what attracts women - it's the Sun or Mars signs you look to for women. For the Sagittarian gal: "The man who attracts you is one who displays high moral and ethical standards, and lives up to your ideals of honesty and integrity - and even more if he could teach you something or be a spiritual guide. You want honesty, friendship, and fun. Sharing adventures or sports or a philosophical discussion gets your interest, and a man with a sense of humor gets your affections - even if his jokes are bad. <awww!> Companionship or 'being buddies' is important to you, so your romances often start with a casual shared activity. You can fall in love with a friend, but can often let a romance fade into a friendship. <oopsies!> (Be aware that your natural friendliness may sometimes be mistaken for romantic interest.) You're attracted to men from a different race, religion, or country than your own. Esp. if you have Mars in Sagittarius, you may find a shared adventure arousing, such as an outdoor activity like hiking or horseback riding or motorcycling. And you will find 'foreign' men quite sexy."

For the gal with Mars in Libra:
"The type of man who attracts you is charming, polite, well-dressed, and looks 'classy' - and it helps if he's good-looking, romantic, and a bit old-fashioned. <just the kind of guy you'd want to take home to meet mom! > You tend to respond to mental and verbal turn-ons more than the crude physical kinds. You can be charmed by a smooth-talker, and are attracted to the creative types. Serenity is what you seek, yet it becomes boring to you - so you like to shake things up a little now and then. <Aye carumba!> Esp. if you have Mars in Libra, you may particularly like what you see as beautiful - such as a finely-formed body or face. <Ain't nothing wrong with appreciating "art", right?> You may also find an argument arousing, as long as it remains verbal & does not get physically threatening. Though you see yourself as being a lover, not a fighter, you may be attracted to a macho type, as Venus was attracted to Mars. You're a bit like Ginger Rogers, and your idea of a perfect partner would be a Fred Astaire. If you were in a TV show, you could play Diane on 'Cheers'."

Sound about right? No wonder you like him, with the Leo, Libra & Sag. in your chart and his Aqua moon, and it sounds like you might be his type of girl too! That Venus in Aqua in my Pisces guy's chart is unfortunately placed - it squares or opposes a few of my planets, since I have mostly Earth/Water signs in my chart! All the same, he's told me that I'm his dream woman... I guess it helps to have the rest of our synastry contacts being overwhelmingly positive, including his Mars conjunct my Venus, and my Venus conjunct his North Node! Whatever helps, right?

By the by, SparklingSag, you'll LOVE Chapel Hill (if that's the campus you're going to). I go there, and it's an awesome place - beautiful campus, hi-tech libraries, nice places to chow down & chill out. Are you doing an exchange program? I see you're from Kent - that's the Kent over in England, right? If so, you'll really like it here; there are lots of 'foreign men'! Do feel free to ask if you need help with anything!

Now, Bella, where have you gotten to? Come back & say hi!

Ok, I'm out for now... Nighty night!

Hey Sunshine,
That post was really great! Thanks so much, I have had a little crush on this guy for years (I went to school with him) and on New Year we had a kiss...but we are just friends right now.
That's so true that i confuse friendly with romance or I'm dumb and don't see that someone likes me so that opportunity passes by. I do like a handsome guy, but soooo not the crude humour type. There was an aries guy I knew who loved crude jokes about women and that really didn't impress me! hehe.

I'm so glad you go to Chapel Hill - i am so excited to go!! I've heard only good things about it, pretty campus etc and its a great school. I'm coming from Kent, UK for one year. I've applied to live in the Granville Towers Accomadation and do loads of courses on the South. And I can't wait to have loads of yummy food! I heard about a place called 'Mama dip's kitchen'? Sorry for rambling on but I'm counting down the months till I go:-)

I found this very interesting...what was written about conflicting mars and venus...I would have to agree that I have found myself attracting the type of guy I would not normally date.
It starts good but then can go wrong...I have a venus in gemini and a mars in taurus...2 totally different love styles. I think I attract like a Gemini...I am witty and charming...deep down though I take a long time to get into relationships and I don't tolerate cheating! Anybody else with this problem? How do you handle it?

Thanks Astrojunkie, nice to be here!!

This man is getting me more and more lost everyday. It seems we're really good physically ( maybe the Venus/Aries conjunction) but more than that I'm unsure. For all those women out there who have a Pisces, what keeps them still chasing you?

Hiya all,

I'm back after an icky couple of days dealing with these awful tension headaches. It's so good to feel normal again.

Bella, your Venus in Aries conjunction with this guy (though it's by sign more than degree) surely means that sparks fly between you two! Here's more: "There can be much enthusiasm in this relationship, but a clash of wills is likely, because both you and your partner want instant gratification and a certain emotional moodiness will predominate. Your cycles won't always coordinate, so there can be many ups and downs in this relationship. The passion, however, will not be wanting! In bed, when we mix fire and fire, neither of you is inclined to be receptive. Instead, you challenge each other. Look to Mars signs to see if there is a better balance of yin and yang. You are open-minded and pleasure-minded as well — and you have met your match! Each of you finds the conquest exciting, so in order to keep your relationship fresh, you might want to recreate or create new and interesting adventures. In fact, it is likely that you will do that naturally. You are confrontational lovers who are not afraid of arguments. In fact, if things become too peaceful, you might just stir the pot a little in order to get things going. Love, for you both, needs to accomplish something. It needs to be refreshed and stoked, prodded and poked, and it needs to have movement. It would be wise for you to give each other a little space, and when you are together, use your abundant energies to make things happen. Your relationship is likely to be intense and even combative at times, but it will be lively and exciting simply because both of you need it to be!"

Going with a Libra moon for him, here's the kind of woman he looks for: "The type of woman who attracts him has class but isn't too formal... sophisticated but not stuck-up... hard-to-please but easy to live with... sincere... REAL sincere; definitely not phoney, or rude or crude or violent! Grace, charm, and beauty are great attractions to him. He can be charmed by a romantic and feminine "fair lady". He seeks harmony in a relationship, yet his real need is to create harmony, so he may actually be drawn to (or passively instigate) conflicts with a more emotionally volatile partner, which can present new challenges for his peace-making talents. A totally serene relationship is what he seeks; yet when achieved it is boring to him - so he likes to shake things up a little now and then. Being IN a one-on-one relationship is the only way he feels secure, so relationships are your top priority - and this includes friendships and business partnerships too."

His Venus in Aries means that "The type of woman who attracts him demonstrates a sense of independence and is bold, adventurous, or spontaneous. Think "Xena, Warrior Princess".
He'll respect the freedom of a woman like this; and might even encourage her to be more independent than she really wants to be. He admires strength and courage. The fiery type, and competitive women interest him. He enjoys a challenge, and may find it enjoyable to be chased by an assertive woman - who offers sufficient resistance to make it interesting. Strong, competitive, or athletic women may appeal to him; and some form of competition such as games or sports might be a turn-on for him. He wants to win, but can respect a woman who is a good match.
He may have a particular attraction to women in uniform. Of all the Moon and Venus Signs, he is the most likely to date a policewoman, military type, or security guard."

Bella,

Here are a few aspects between your charts that stood out to me:

Sun conjunct Mars: This is a dynamic comparative combination which can lead to much accomplishment or conflict. Conflicts are usually of the ego variety. If you are to get along harmoniously, you must develop a healthy respect for one another's independence and free will. You are apt to have a good spirit of competition, and sometimes this competition can get vicious. This conjunction often indicates sexual attractions, but of itself doesn't indicate love or tenderness.

Sun conjunct Venus (by sign): This shows that you are in tune with each other socially, and that you will enjoy each other's company; you simply have fun together. You tend to share the same interests and cultural values. There is a strong emotional, intuitive link, and if other factors are favorable, this comparative aspect contributes greatly to romantic attractions, and may be an indicator of marriage.

A few other aspects I noted were: your Sun opposed his Moon (by sign), your Sun square his Jupiter (by sign), your Sun & Venus sextile his Saturn (by sign), your Moon sextile his Sun (by sign), your Moon sextile his Mercury, your Moon opposed his Mars (by sign), your Mars sextile his Jupiter (by sign), etc. Here's where you can read more on these aspects: http://www.astrology-numerology.com/synastryaspects.html#Sun%20opposed Another good website that explains the aspects in general is http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/synastry.html

Ok, here's a really good one about why you two might've had an instant rapport: it looks like your South Node conjuncts his Venus: "This was undoubtedly a lover in your past and will bring forward subconscious and soul based memories of that. If strong future ties occur it will help you understand what course the relationship will take this time. Often means you are learning about living thru different types of relationships with a beloved friend." I share this with my Pisces guy, and it's a sweet bond to have!

Hiya SparklingSag,

I've been the same way when it comes to recognizing someone's interest in me: flat-out clueless! I've even had friends try to clue me in, and i'll still be like, 'No way! Isn't he like that with everyone?' I've got a Sagittarian Ascendant, maybe that's why?

About NC, you'll really like Granville Towers, it's so close to campus & Franklin St., where all the action (& food) is! Mama Dips is good, and so are Bandido's & Cosmic Cantina & Hams, and .. I could go ON and on, at the risk of boring anyone else reading this! Seriously, you'll love it here; I'm excited for you! It gets down to the chilly twenties on cold days in NC, and there's skiing at Ski Beech in Boone, NC, or you can head to Snowshoe, West Virginia for some skiing/tubing fun as I did a couple Spring Breaks ago! That is where my Pisces & I first fell in love with each other; I kept skiing into him since my turns were not so good (he was trying to teach me; I wasn't blatantly flirting, believe me!), and he had to pull me out of an orange net fence when I skiied out of control! Ahhh, the memories!

Hey SparklingSag,

Did you know that you're coming to the home of the 2005 NCAA (Men's Basketball) National CHAMPIONS?!! Our boys beat the Illini in St. Louis with a fancy bit of playing, and won it last night!!

Just had to share that! Hope you're doing well. Is playing it cool working? They say to pique their curiosity, then leave when they're interested and wanting more; that way they come back after you; i'm always up for that!

Unfort., me & my Pisces are in a down cycle now, due to circumstances that are keeping us apart. However, we've been through this so many times (it's one of those majorly angst-ridden relationships), and we love each other so much, that I have to believe we'll find our way back...
