~ Quotes from Literature ~Saturn in Aries Only actions give life strength; only moderation gives it a charm. - Jean Paul Richter, Aries Saturn in Taurus Life has a way of setting things in order and leaving them be. Very tidy, is life. - Jean Anouilh, Cancer Saturn in Gemini It is meritorious to insist on forms; religion and all else naturally clothes itself in forms. Everywhere the formed world is the only habitable one. - Thomas Carlyle, Sagittarius Saturn in Cancer The virtue of the soul does not consist in flying high, but in walking orderly. - Montaigne, Pisces Saturn in Leo Human affairs are not serious, but they have to be taken seriously. - Iris Murdoch, Cancer Saturn in Virgo It would be a great help if the word 'serious' could be eliminated from the vocabulary. It must have been invented by critics not too sure of themselves, condemning all of the most exciting and profound works that have been produced through the ages. - Man Ray, Virgo Saturn in Libra One must always, without necessarily being a pessimist, be prepared for the worst. - George Santayana, Sagittarius Saturn Scorpio These flashes on the surface are not he. He has a solid base of temperament. - Lord Tennyson, Leo Saturn in Sagittarius Moderation is the center wherein all philosophies, both human and divine, meet. - Joseph Hall, Cancer Saturn in Capricorn The greatest lesson to be learned is that the most difficult way is in the long run, the easiest. - Henry Miller, Capricorn Saturn in Aquarius Nothing strengthens the judgment and quickens the conscience like individual responsibility. - Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Scorpio Saturn in Pisces We cannot live on probabilities. The faith in which we can live bravely and die in peace must be a certainty, so far as it professes to be a faith at all, or it is nothing. - James Anthony Froude, Taurus

Saturn and KarmaThe karmic influence attributed to Saturn is not his monopoly, as all planetary influences if abused bring their own karma. ... If Jupiter is not always benefic, neither is Saturn always malefic. For Saturn brings the greatest rewards to those who have learnt how to wait for them. - C.G.M. Adam Saturn represents the legacy of the past. He is NOT, as some astrologers call him, "karma". Rather, he utilizes material drawn from former incarnations to construct the frame work of the individual personality. Saturn can represent characteristics which one is compelled to develop. - Mary Devlin In many instances Saturn seems to correspond with painful circumstances which appear not to be connected with any weakness or flaw on the part of the person himself but which merely "happen" thereby earning the planet the title, "Lord of Karma". - Liz Greene Saturn is the point of fear or suffering ... not as an immutably bad fortune, but rather the possibility of self-activated change. - Marc Edmund Jones Man's karma or fate is reflected first of all by Saturn, which, more than any other planet, is the planet of fate and the planet that transforms the personal into the individual. - Leo Krohn, Finnish theosophist and astrologer ------------------ "The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle." Anais Nin IP: Logged |

Saturn in 5th house/Virgo, and it's conjunct my north node too!Saturn in the 5th house is suppose to create some sort of problems, restrictions or what not with children, creativity and romance. I hope not! I'm surrounded by kids. I'm the oldest of six (just don't ask how my relationship with them is...more of a parent if anything...cant help it I was born this way), am a teacher, and just can't get away or hide from them. Plus I really do want my own. I am pretty creative but don't show it. I'm an excellent drawer, painter, sculpter, singer, dancer blah blah blah. When I was young my first pieces of art because I was forced to do it in artclass won top prizes and honours for many things I just don't have the patience to be creative in that way anymore. I would rather put my creativity into more "practical" matters maybe? And with romance I prefer the long term kind but somehow my moon in pisces/11th, and venus/neptune/7th are in hard aspects to it...so my frequent friendships/romances don't last long for it to develop into something I would like. Plus I've always been more attracted to wise, religious type, hardworking, driven Capricorn like guys. IP: Logged |
