I was told that my empty 7th house had nothing to do with me not being married or having successful imtimate relationships.

I am just curious but would like to know how many people have absolutely no planets in their 7th house, meaning an empty seventh house, have been in a happy relationship or have been married for quite some time or do not find themselves alone frequently?

Blue M

I want to give myself hope.

I fit your criteria! I have nothing in my 7th house, which starts at 29*Sagittarius but contains mostly Capricorn. My boyfriend and I are having our 6 year anniversary tomorrow in fact. Not planning to get married any time soon, but that is my own choice! I am very happy because I know that I am incharge of my own reality

Empty 7th house (in Cancer and Leo). Pretty sure it's not a major factor in anything that's happened to me relating-wise although my 7th house ruler is in the 12th house.

Btw, a negative attitude toward relating can do more bad in realizing self-fullifilling prophecies than anything or nothing in the 7th or any other house.

Hi Blue ~

I've an empty VII -- 29 Aqua on the cusp and 3/4 full of Pisces, with Uranus in XI, Neptune in III, and Saturn trine my DSC. There's plenty of hope! I haven't lacked partners over the past few decades (except when I wanted to fly solo ).....

Here's a couple of old threads you may find interesting, plus a blurb from one of my fave astro-writers:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004129.html
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002087.html

“Empty Houses” by Howard Sasportas from “The Twelve Houses – Understanding the Importance of the Houses in Your Astrological Birth Chart”

quote:
Over and over again when teaching astrology to beginners I hear the question “What does it mean if a house is empty?” Some students are very troubled by empty or untenanted houses – that is, a house in which no planets are found. “My 5th house is empty – does that mean I won’t have any children?”; “My 3rd house is empty – does this mean I don’t have a mind?”

Because there are only ten planets to go around the twelve houses, invariably certain houses will be untenanted. This does not mean that nothing is happening in that area of life. Nor does it necessarily imply that the area of life in question is unimportant.

Strictly speaking it is incorrect to say that a house is empty. Even though there may be no planets in that house, there is still a sign (or signs) placed there which will influence that sphere of experience. Thus, the first step in interpreting what is happening in an untenanted house is to relate the qualities of the sign or signs found there to the area of life associated with the house in quesiton. The second step is to refer to the planet which rules the sign on the cusp of the ‘empty’ house. What house is the ruling planet in? What sign is the ruling planet in? How is the ruling planet aspected? In this way, we glean a great deal of information about the house in question. The third step is to examine the planet which rules any other signs found in that house (not just the sign on the cusp). Where is that planet by house, sign and aspect?

Obivously a house with many planets in it is very important, but we should not overlook the significance of so-called empty houses. Should the planet ruling the sign on the cusp of an empty house be the focal point for a particular chart shaping, such as the handle to a bucket type chart or the leading planet of a locomotive shaping, then the affairs of the house in question could feature prominently in the native’s life. The empty house might also contain the missing element of a T-square and this would increase the relevance of the area of life in contributing to the overall balance of the person’s psyche.

I have nothing in my 7th house. Pisces is on it which is ruled by neptune. My Neptune is in Scorpio and my partner (when I chose to be w/one) had better be one passionate man. LOL! I've chosen to be alone in order to work on my junk/baggage, but I'm gettting closer to wanting a snuggle bunny and someone to spend time with.

Worry not, I also have an empty seventh house, cusp capricorn, and I am coming up to my seventh wedding anniversary. It's a good marriage too. However, my hubbie has the sun and mercury and I think venus in his seventh.

I have an empty 7th house -- in Aries.

I've been married for a while (4 years).

Before that I've had a lot of passionate "attachments"... it definitely doesnt mean you're going to be alone

OK, the stuff Zala posted isn't encouraging.

My 7th house is ruled by Leo. Leo is the Sun. My sun is in Aquarius, conjunct Venus...but in the 12th house. *groans* It's also square Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, trine Uranus.

Lonely, I am so looonellyyy...I have nobody...to call me owww-owwnn...

i have an empty seventh house as well

7th house cusp - Aquarius 24 and rounds out in pisces. neptune in sag - in 4 house and uranus in scorp - end of 3rd house

i'm not married nor have ever been in a 'normal' relationship. that's how i see an empty 7th house (at least mine) - as abnormal/strange relationships. Being that I'm not married or have ever been in a 'normal' relationship - i've not lacked playmates but have struggled over my concept of what kind of relationship i want to be in (find the middle ground between limitations and opportunities). I believe I will get married one day - it will happen. It will be a HUGE accomplishment. An acknowledgement of how much I've grown especially considering where i've been, where i am, and where i am headed. Also - I take marriage seriously - when i hear of marriage for anything like money, citizenship, etc. without the understanding and committments to the vow - it breaks my heart. if i dwell on it too much - i may teeter on the edge of "i'm never going to get married, I'm too old-fashioned". also - considering 7th house resembles partnership, enemies and such - i have a love/hate for those i love dearly, an aloofness, forgetfulness and ignorance to those who love me dearly, and am not bothered by and forgetful of who my enemies are.

There are no planets in my 7th house ether, even though it's a cap/aqua cusp. Most of my relationships throughout my life have been unusual or just 'different', but anything that is too normal I think would be boring in my eyes. The one problem I do have is I am to self oriented, which is shown in my chart with all the planets cluttered in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. I am trying real hard to pay more attention to others, and realize whats going on with them, and learning more about empathy, which is why I joined this forum.

This is discussed elsewhere.

Stop panicking!!

It just means that you do not have specific lessons in your life to learn about the relationships stuff (7th house) and it means there aren't any additional things that you look for in a partner!

Guess what? I have nothing in the 11th and I still have friends...

My 7th house begins at 10.41 of Aqua and ends at 02.13 of Pisces, so almost entirely Aqua.

I have no placements in the 7th, Aqua or Pisces.

Speaking of relationships and Aqua associations, my unaspected Uranus in the 4th house has become my most recent point of romantic concern.

Its a definite problem area for permancy in domesticity, and with addition to my Aqua 7th house, this all slightly worries me.

In addition to Uranus, I also have Sun, Merc, Venus and Jupiter in the 4th. Finding a stable love and having a family is my main goal in life.

I've read from a few different sources that my collective placements don't bode well for everlasting love.

Yeah, and I equally dislike my Leo Asc.

It makes me way too candid, and my Scorpio Sun ends up in regret.

I always expect people to be better than they are. The hard lessons of this foolish notion my Scorpio Sun has long since learned but seems to often forget at the possibility of finding understanding in another human being.

And then I'm let down, of course.

Interestingly, me too, although my planets are concentrated at the top of the chart. I tend to prefer ideas instead of emotions, but then my moon in the 8th gets the guilt!

My 7 th house is also empty, i used to begrudge the fact, but now i'd say, thank God!

I have a leo ascendant - in the later degrees of it, as well. My moon in aries and mars in leo can be disruptive as well. most times, much emotions are bottled up for way too long. I wouldn't even know where to begin in explaining the things that bother me.........so I usually don't or it comes out all at once.

I do help others if asked but I think I am vain - however, the more that I am this way, the harder it "feels" in achieving my goal. Helping others is therapeudic - actually. It also produces good results in my life, whereas being self-centered, creates this divide between myself and others and the others probably don't like me and I probably don't care / only achieving my goal is affected, negatively because there is no support, firm foundation, good team. Sometimes, I think that I don't pay enough attention to myself even though - maybe I do, just enough or maybe it's not on the right things - the right things, are those that I will need to work with others, in achieving. Whenever I'm self-indulgent - others seem like enemies. whenever I'm not self-indulgent - I feel restricted, in some way.

If you have no planets in 7th house,
you can still look for indicators for how relationships, marriage, partnerships,

Look at:
1.sign on the descendant(7th house cusp) and its ruler, the sign placement of the ruler, the house placement of the ruler, the aspects of the ruler.

for instance,
Pisces is the sign on my Descendant, and its ruler Neptune is in Sagittarius in 3rd house conjunct 7th house ruler Jupiter in Sagittarius in 3rd,square 11th house ruler Moon in Pisces in 6th,square 8th house ruler Mars in Aquarius in 6th,and oppose 5th house
ruler Saturn in Gemini in 9th.

using also traditional rulership

Pisces is the sign on my Descendantand its ruler Jupiter conjunct my 7th house ruler Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd,square 11th house ruler Moon in Pisces in 6th,square 3rd/8th house ruler Mars in Aquarius in 6th,and oppose 5th/6th house ruler Saturn in Gemini.

also if you have planet in 7th house, you can check its dispositor(the planet that rules the sign it is in)with its sign placement, house placement, and aspects.

Empty 7th House chart (that breaks up into the last section of Libra, all of Virgo and the 1st section of Scorpio.)

I do however have Vertex and my Descendent in Virgo, 7th House... But nothing from my natal chart with planets that sit in the 7th house.

Empty 7th.. Sagittarius.
Although my Mars is 4 degrees away from my DSC, in the 6th, and I find that Mars in 7th descriptions fit me.
