I've always heard that a person having Venus conjunct Mars with another is a strong indication of attraction/desire....

But who do you think feels it more, the person with Venus, or person with Mars?

Has anyone had this aspect before with someone?

I would guess that the person with Mars would feel it more only because Mars is fiery, physical and alot more amorous than Venus. An old ¨highschool pal of mine had this in her chart natally(she was a Piceas) and she was very extreme. she either fell in "lust" immediately or none at all.

Good question, winged-feet. I think both would feel it equally strong, but in a different part of their brains. The Venus person would be stimulated to feel strong feelings of affection/love/attraction...they would feel very attractive around this person, which is a turn-on in itself. They would probably also easily plan events involving this person, most importantly, a wedding. This person would be stimulated to plan a wedding when involved romantically with a person who's Mars conjuncts their Venus. It can be a very important aspect for the Venus person, if other facters contribute to it... don't underestimate the power of Venus to lead your fortune.

The Mars person would desire the Venus person in an almost violent way, and be inclined to chase the Venus person to the ends of the earth, just to demostrate their love to them...which, when it comes to Mars, means hot and heavy demonstration.

Yeah, Venus conjunct Mars is a GOOD thing...regardless of who owns which planet.

It doesn't promise longevity, though. You need Saturn aspects for that.

I have this with someone, I"m the Mars and he's the Venus (virgo). I'm definitely the "pursuer" and the physical desire that I feel for him is pretty outrageous and intense... him being the Venus, I think it's true that he does feel attractive around me, because he knows I'm attracted to him. His Mars is also conjunct my moon (cancer) but I don't think he's really taken on that role as a Mars in the relationship as of yet.

I have this and it is definately true... it is my Venus, his Mars. then vice versa, his Venus trines my Mars.
Also, My Saturn conjunct his Sun and Moon in my first house.
His Saturn opposed my personal planets Sun and Mars.
Not a 'positive' blending of Saturn, and definately a learning, fated thing...
attraction beyond belief.. we actually have more 'attractive' aspects than between any synastry chart I have ever done.
*sigh*
My Sun in his first house, his Sun and Moon in mine......... etc etc.....

I've had that aspect with someone before. While very exciting and definitely always strongly felt. There are other chart factors that need to come into play if it is to be serious or long lasting. Look at what's going on with your Saturns. Saturn is your foundation. Without it, the relationship could be exciting but after the sparks have calmed down a bit, it could crumble.

I agree that its pretty strong. (I'm the venus person, and the guy has the mars.) The only doubt of this conjunction in synastry would be the Venus person feeling more love, while the Mars person would feel more passion. (although his mars is Libra, so would that help with the loving side? hehe)

Yeah, Saturn aspects aren't something I've overlooked yet. My saturn conjuncts his moon and trines his sun and rising. His saturn conjuncts my venus, trines my moon, and sextile my mars.

I've heard conflicting opinions about Saturn conjunctions in synastry though. :S

I copy and pasted from a site that gave a free report, this is what it said.....

quote:
There is a high level of sexual and romantic attraction between you; however, your rhythms are occasionally out of synch. When one of you is in a moment of intense desire but the other is feeling more aloof, the result may be jealousy and an attempt on the more amorous partner's part to dominate the other. Thus, while you have a great sexual connection, your relationship in general may experience some fluctuations.

You share an almost irresistible sexual attraction to one another, and it's been this way from the very beginning. You most likely became "more than friends" relatively quickly and early in your involvement. The best thing about your union is that this intensity is unlikely to fade! You have a truly emotional and deep connection, and your sex life is likely to remain active and fulfilling for the duration of your relationship.

You are very compatible sexually and your sex life is both romantic and passionate. If your relationship is long-term it's likely that your sexual energies will sustain themselves; your attraction for one another runs deep and your intimate play is special to both of you. You are lucky to have found such a mutually fulfilling relationship.

Venus Conjunct Mars – this is one of the strongest aspects for passion and sexual attraction. This alone may not lead to more sensitive, romantic feelings or to a lasting relationship. That depends on several things, your age, as well as other aspects in both your charts.

No one aspect in synasty, by itself, indicates attraction, you also have to take the house involved and other aspects into account. However if all other things are in agreement, this would be an excellent aspect between two people.

Venus conjunct Mars does not always indicate attraction, but it does indicate "fire" or passion. The thing is it can turn into hate instead of love.
My oldest friend has her Mars conjunct both my Venus and Mercury, and we have had a sort of love-hate "relationship" for over a decade.
Also, one of the boys I hated intensely during my school years had his Mars conjunct my Venus and Mercury.
But, to answer your question, the Mars person is the one who is most attracted, I guess.
I have had my Mars conjunct some men's Venus before, and phew..they turn me into Pepe Le Pew.

I've had this go both ways. My first boyfriend had his Mars conjunct my Venus and I found him very sexually attractive whereas I feel that he was more attracted to me romantically. I was the aggressor most of the time.

My boyfriend now he has his Venus conjunct my Mars and I hardly have to initate anything. I don't have the constant need to touch and be near him, but he def does lol.

You fell in lust. That's not love. Love takes understanding and time. lol..

I don't know... This on its own might not automatically mean attraction?

This guy's sun and mars and moon is conjunct my moon, venus and merc (all close orbs, less than 5, mostly around 2 degrees in libra in the 7th house) and I don't feel attraction towards him. o_O

In fact our junos conjunct with all those above stated planets too lol... and I am not interested at all in him.

We do however seem to click.

Trust your heart. Too many experiences of love at first sight. I have venus conjunct mars natally.

^ Lol you clearly know nothing about love. It's infatuation. Love isn't butterflies in your stomach, and it doesn't just happen at first sight, that's so naive.

"Falling in love" and "love" are two different things. On top of that, there are all kinds of love... Please stop telling people they don't know what it is.

^^^And how would you presume to know this about someone across the computer screen? Can you read their minds? I don't believe in 'love at first site' myself but it is obnoxious to be telling other people what they were feeling in situations you had no part of.

I've fallen in love before... I'm in love right now. Stop acting all high-and-mighty about love, it's pretty annoying.

Love is love; if it's not hurting anyone, there's no point to criticize it.

I remember reading some threads that chick started and apparently she's only had one relationship that lasted 'two weeks' and some crushes.

Now tell me how that's love.

"Falling in love" =? love.

Yes, love takes time, but falling in love is basically becoming infatuated. If you've ever fallen in love, you would know that feeling where you just love them, despite if it's real love or not... :/

You cant intellectualise love or accurately measure it. By its very nature it is subjective. To try to quantify whether someone else has fallen in love and what timeframes they need is ludicrous.. x
