http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Shock_in_Greece_as_teenagers_confess_to_murdering_11-year_old_missing_boy

quote:
June 3, 2006

(Blue colour) Imathia Prefecture, northern GreeceAlex Meschisvili, 11, was missing from his home in Veria, northern Greece, since February 3, 2006. Five months later, Greek public opinion is numbed as the developments of the missing child case bring five children, aged from 11 to 13, to admit that they killed Alex after a fight. According to the Police directorate of Imathia, the alleged murderers are two Greek brothers, one Romanian and two Albanian boys.

The juveniles allegedly confessed to the act and have indicated the place where they buried the body in the center of Veria, at an abandoned house just behind the Municipal building.

While the search for the finding of Alex' body continues, the local Police bureau in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Police department continue their own investigation, based on all the information available since the disappearance of the 11-years old boy, reviewing all scenarios and any relevant information.

If there is confirmation of Alex Meschisvili's murder by the alleged juveniles, it will be the first known case of a teenager's murder by teenagers in the crime history of Greece.

I feel ashamed to call myself a human-being after reading this...I heard on the news that they even ripped his head off..son of a bitches, may they have a slow and tortorous death, amen.

Five children aged 11-13?? This is very disturbing. How do some kids get to this point?? Hope these little evil twits dont get off the hook or get some petty sentence because of their age.

Ripped his head off???????

My God...that's insane! As time goes, people lose their souls to their lower selves. People have no patience, have no tolerance, and get angry so easily. Where are the parents who teach their children discipline? For innocent children to go to these debased behaviors...you can't call them innocent. You can't even call them children.

Yes indeed this is greatly disturbing to hear. It is highly devastating to learn that there is so much hate and anger in this world and it's sickening. This news truly breaks my heart - a little life cut short.

What distresses me the most about this is these young men had no human compassion or empathy. Now THAT'S what parents need to be nuturing in their children. Sure you can discipline them but that only affects their behavior when you are around..... somebody better be training their "hearts". There should be huge clues early on if the child isn't developing any empathy, such as how they treat animals or playmates....

Its a well known fact in Europe that man for man Albanians are the one people you DO NOT want to mess with. The value of life is less than zero. People from all the surrounding countries fear them more than any others, including such tough people as the Serbians, amongst others.

If you go to war with Albanians, they will kill your family, kill your friends and then kill you.

Obviously, this message spreads down the generations. I get this info from many East Europeans from many of the surrounding nations. ALL agree on this.

Stereo-types are never good, but the general consensus is this is one to watch out for.

I have been around a lot of people from the former Yugoslavia here and there is so much ethnic friction...for example, between the Bosnians and Albanians, even with the young people but much more so with the older ones. I have always gotten along fine with the Albanians I know. One guy did tell me though, that I had to "understand his culture" and if they like you and it would make you happy to have something they would "steal it for you" because they "want you to be happy" but if they don't like you........ the whole conversation had this "mafia" feel to it..... I NEVER asked him any more questions about his culture......

After reading this I started to cry. I can't even comprehend how such a horrid thing could happen, ever! Is it so hard to accept human beings as nothing more or less as other human beings? If people had a philosophy that stated that everyone, all beings on this earth no matter where in the world they originated, is here just trying to make it through this life just like themselves, maybe there would be less violence. But isn't it true? We all are here just trying to get by, trying to make it through, no matter whether you believe there's a heaven or hell, in reincarnation or whatever else. All that should matter is here and now. We're all here, right now, and we should be helping eachother through the life that we're all living at the same time. Is that such a complicated outlook? Am I too impractical to ask why people don't realize this? Or do I make no sense at all?
