I read in The Twelve Houses by Howard Sasportas about Venus in the First House and, from what I understood, it says that even if Venus, or any other planet for that matter, is in your first house, it doesn't really influence your appearance unless it's conjunction your ascendant. Can anyone clarify this a little?
Also, I have Venus in Aries and I've noticed that almost everybody I meet has Aries in their chart. Is that because of Venus? It's ironic because a lot of times, most people with Aries placements tend to hurt my feelings or make me upset, especially Aries in Mercury people. What's up with that? Does anybody else have this sort of experience too?

I've always thought that my 1st house Pluto did influence the way I look.

My ASC is at 8 Libra and I have Pluto at 19 Libra. My appearance is like a textbook blend of what a Libra Rising and a Scorpio rising would be. I have very feminine features, but there's something dark and hawk-like about my face too.

Just my 2 cents.

Also, as far an Aries people upsetting you, this most likely has very little to do with your Venus in Aries. I would look at where Aries is in your chart because people with planets in Aries are probably activating that part of your horoscope and their planets are making negative aspects with other planets in your chart, if anything.
