Hi Rebekka ~Here’s some stuff on intercepted signs:

I have Cappy/Cancer intercepted in the 5th/11th, with Aqua and Leo repeated on the 6th/7th & 12th/1st…..
And here’s an article – I found this statement intriguing:
You really want to express yourself by the sign on the cusp of the intercepted house. People and events prevent you from doing so.

INTERCEPTED SIGNS

Just exactly what are "intercepted signs" and where do they come from? I have had many questions about this, so here's what I have collected over time.
Basically, your time of birth usually has nothing to do with having an intercepted sign in your birth chart. From what I have observed and read, the higher or lower you are in Latitude (i.e. extreme north or extreme south,) the more likely there will be at least one interception. I have seen at least 3 signs intercepted in a birth chart for a child born way, way up north in Newfoundland.
This many interceptions make ones life difficult, to say the least. The needs and/or qualities of the intercepted sign(s) are suppressed in early life. This makes it difficult to express these particular needs/qualities consciously in ones daily life.
It is believed by some that the intercepted signs show qualities which were highly developed in past lives. They are being set aside in this incarnation waiting for other signs to develop on a more equal basis. Then, on the other side of the coin, it is believed that these intercepted signs were not fully developed in past lives so they are hard to express in this lifetime. However, we can all agree that they do create frustration by sign and house. Also, we note that the entire chart is thrown out of sync!
The external environment limits the ability to fully express him/herself in the "house" or department of life where the interception(s) fall. They can also show a conflict between destiny and environment. Traditionally, houses deal with our external life and the signs and planets deal with our individual development and approach to those matters.
The doors leading into our various departments of life are represented by the house cusps. The planets ruling the cusp are the keys to open these doors. We act according to the planet, which causes a reaction to the other planets. This creates feedback which gives us objectivity (ralistic views on what we are doing.) Each action causes a reaction that teaches us to be objective about life. When a house is intercepted, our objectivity regarding those matters related to this house is stifled. We are not objective in that area of life. A lack of objectivity causes a certain lack of direction in the affairs of that house.
One would express the needs and attitudes of the two signs occupying the house cusps where the interception occurs. You will receive the type of feedback necessary to be objective. However, you do not follow through and investigate the needs of the sign(s) that is intercepted. Instead, you will be required to develop in the other areas (duplicated signs) having no apparent bearing on the activities of the house that is intercepted. This delays the development of the interception. It delays the objectivity you need in those house matters as you will see.
So, what comes next? The environment you live in and function in does not give you the experience or structure you need to develop the qualities of the intercepted sign, as well as, any planet falling in the intercepted sign. The same applies to the planet ruling the intercepted sign. This leaves you with a need (intercepted sign) in a particular area of your life (house) that is in an environment which does not allow you to express the energies shown by the signs intercepted or the planets (if any)in the intercepted houses.
Your intercepted sign does try to express itself, but it comes out in an imbalanced fashion. The feedback you get - and you do get feedback on your actions - but it is the wrong kind of feedback you need - or the wrong kind of encouragement you need in order to express the energies (traits) of the intercepted signs and the house matters.
A Progression or major Transit passing through the intercepted signs will give you the opportunity to rebel against the environment and people who limit the energies (how the planet should respond) of the intercepted signs and then you will be able to handle the affairs of that house with objectivity.
An intercepted sign likens to an Opposition. There are actually two signs intercepted when you have a sign intercepted. The intercepted sign and the sign that opposes it. Thus the interception is a kind of opposition and oppositions are called polarities. Remember, each sign must look to its opposite for balance and objectivity. As an example, Aries is egotistical and self-centered and must look to the opposite sign, Libra, for balance of the ego... Libra being harmony and sharing in relationships.
In interceptions, the environment does not allow us to see the traits and use them in the opposite sign. Therefore, the environment does not encourage us to develop the traits of the opposite sign. So, the reactions we get from others only confuse or irritate us. They do not encourage us to balance ourselves through the opposite sign. Aries intercepted should reach for the Libran balance to become less egotistical, but the people and events we meet in that area of life prevent our reaching for the Libran balance of our ego. Thus we get irritated, confused, and unfulfilled. So the circle comes around and be become more egotistical and self-centered (Aries.) We do not balance ourselves through the opposite intercepted sign in those house matters. We don't balance ourselves through the polarity of the opposite sign. Thus you are expressing the qualities of one of the intercepted signs at the expense of the other at all times. If yu started at the Libra interception you wuld act exactly opposite in those house matters...relating so much you lost your Aries ego in the process.
This is what happens in intercepted house matters:
You really want to express yourself by the sign on the cusp of the intercepted house. People and events prevent you from doing so.
This makes you turn to the sign that is intercepted. You try to express yourself by this sign since people and events are preventing you from expressing the sign on the cusp of the house. Again, the people, and events in your environment prevent you from doing so. You rebel eventually, or give up. If you do decide to rebel you will express the negative traits of the intercepted sign. You will be an egotistical, argumentative Aries rotten bum. You will not try to balance yourself through your polarity (the sign opposite Aries - Libra.)
You can eventually learn to express the sign on the cusp of the intercepted house. This is what you want to do when acting on matters of that house. You can do this after you have learned to solve the problem of the duplicated signs in your chart.
Next month we will explore the polarity interpretation beginning with the Aries-Libra interception.
