What placements and aspects can make a person super-sensitive and demanding?
albeit with no wrong intentions on their part..(believe me!)

OK here is my chart.. I was talking about myself.. Besides having a pre-dominantly airy chart and a strong venus (I guess!), I am realising that I'm super-emotional! Although I have some idea, I need your opinions please!

Saturn conj Sun makes you 'demanding'.

your Gem Moon may enjoy calling itself 'sensitive', but my guess is that this 'sensitivity' is in a verbal, intellectual way. let's say you can't resist an intellectual challenge, word-games, etc.

hey astrostudent, remember me ?

u hv moon oppn neptune, which cud give u the sensitivity. being emotional though i am not sure of. may be you mean u get upset/hurt soon. tht cud be the neptune.

i too hv tht kind of sensitivity. altho i blame it on cancer asc. but looking at a lot of other ppl, i feel tht i am not as emotional. for example jealousy and possesiveness, r not in my nature, *i think*.

it is good that u r discovering different facets of your personality. transits cud also have something to do with it. i always thought i was a very emotional person. the amount of crying i used to do was something shocking :embarassed:

but now i am going thru a phase of life whr i feel very grounded and stable. not experiencing those emotional low's. still into the high's tho am able to take things more casually. turns out i dont hv any major transits going on rite now. two yrs back whn i was filling up those buckets, i had a lot of harsh saturn transits happening in the skies, which i was totally unaware of. and used to think tht i hv become over-sensitive.

and i wud like to add....very few ppl r unemotional as such. everybody has somefeelings. some r more in touch with them. and dont mind accepting to themselves tht they r upset, or showing it to others. but then transits come along and 'emotional' people may have to learn the put a brake on some behaviors, and the 'unemotional' may hv to learn to let the floodgates open once in a while.

though you do have a gemini moon...i'm getting the super-sensitive vibe from the Moon/Neptune opposition (both known for their great sensitivity) and the Moon/Jupiter square (makes the emotions exaggerated/more prominent)...

demanding...hmm, idk.... the Leo placements could help (though I know its not enough...)

Def. Saturn/Sun and Mercury/Pluto play a role in that

I am supersensitive! And I'm in the process of growing a thicker skin, very determined, for my own sake.

Why am I sensitive?

Pisces Moon 4/5H
I have watery Mars, it's weak in Pisces
Moon/Mars conjunction then
and Moon square Saturn

I think if a person's sensitive, that's got something to do with his/her moon,.. emotional security... maybe moon is weak, debilitated.. like mine, with square and conjunctions.

That's rather *insensitve,* not to mention patronizing, to dismiss someone's feelings as mere "word games." Care to post your moon sign and allow me to insensitively patronize you in return?

Gemini moon IS a sensitive moon. It's mutable. So it's sensitive. Say what you want about Gem mooners being overly cerebral, shallow, fickle or oblivious to the needs and feelings of others. However, that doesn't mean this isn't a sensitive moon. You can't do astrology by just looking at things frorm your own viewpoint and judge things at the surface - you have to look at things for the viewpoint of the native as well.

Gem moon is actually *hypersensitive.* Mercury rules it, and Mercury it the most "reactive" of all the personal planets (that's why, naturally, both its ruling signs are "reactive," i.e. mutable signs). It's like the Gem mooners' Mercurial antennae are always up and activiated, picking up even the slightest vibrations around them. The Gem moon, like Piscecs moon, can't really "tune out" the world. So it's like the Gem moon is always recieiving and responding to the vibes around them. When those vibes change, so does the Gem mooner's reaction. This can mean for the Gem mooners, their emotional responses can seem abrupt, on a whim, passing, or inconsiderate to others at times.

But for the Gem mooners him or herself, this actually can be a pretty intense experience. Sometimes even confusing and overwhelming. And that experience is *authentic* for them - not merely percieived as such, as cristiname suggests. Their emotions may be swift and feeting like an Aries moon, but that doesn't mean they aren't feeling anything - just not what you feel. SO yes, this is a sensitive moon in its own way.

Astrostudent's Gem Moon's also in a receptive house (2nd), aspecting other planets in other receptive houses (6th and 8th). Most importantly, her moon trines Pluto which well intensify any emotional response greatly (Neptune adds to this as well). So astrostudent can take to heart take whatever feelings and sensivity he/she is experiencing is not only real, but indeed, very intense.

ANd because all the aspecting planets to her/his Moon are in receptive, not active, houses, it may seem like these emotional responses have no outlet and just accumilate interiorly. She/he needs ot find a constructive outlet for those emotional energies - that would help bring inner stablity. Pluto and Neptune aspecting isn't helpful, but only adding to the confusing and intensity - this is likely why she/he may be "demanding" at times. Those cupped-up energies need some way to get out, and she/he is turnign ot (perhaps grasping at) other people to help with that.

However, it's better to be less codependant and find solutions within yourself. Since this is Gem moon, things like writing a journal or poetry or talking with good friends would help. Gemini likes physical activity and being outdoors too - Gems are indeed "butterflies" that need to get out in the sun and move about freely. So walking, jogging, swimming, and like activities are all good for Gems.

sure, hit me!
I have a Scorpio Moon conj Uranus in the 9th.
anything else you'd like to know?

have a blast!

astrostudent

adding, sorry to miss on the Neptune opposition. that is very powerful, and confuzing at times. that's probably where ur sensitivity comes from. hyper-sensitivity, as you call it.

plus the moon placement in the 2nd - self-worth and self-esteem fluctuating like the moon. don't compare yourself to others. neptune in the 8th (other's worth) can make you over/under evaluate them.

sorry if sounded insessitive! I have a close friend with a gemini moon - she's an actress, very very intense and very emotinal; yet she always surprises me with how fast/easy she moves on and away from hurtful experiences onto to new (exciting, challenging) ones. that's an asset for her not to be put down completely by rejection. you could try it too. each moon sign has certain traits that can help or harm.

I'm supersensitive AND demanding...I think that would come from having a Cancer ASC., Scorpio Moon, Square Mars, and Mars Square Pluto, just to name a few. I'm very demanding...and my sensitivity is just obvious.

~ astrostudent ~

.. in addition to above points re : moon/nept/pluto .. and the element of fire re. venus and ascendant ..
.. and nept. ..

.. a short note ..

.. if the ascendant were to be an arrow tip ...
.. natals pluto and merc look like the feathers ..

and ..

natals .. chiron / *venus / mars~uranus .. are all in fairly 'demanding' and 'fixed' signs ..
together they represent a t-square ...

.. transiting Saturn ..
* http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/012080.html *
.. is currently close to your natal *venus ..
.. thus squaring the other two .. chiron and mars~uranus ..
( that's apart from any other transits )

Firstly, thanks all for the replies

Hey cristiname and GN, easy!! I understand that you both have my best interests in my mind..peace!!

Cristiname - cud be sun conj saturn,I was thinking along Pluto opp ascendant..guess you are rigt about the 2nd house moon, i do have self worth probs..on the top of the world at one moment, exactly opp at the next..
no,u dint sound insensitive..

InLoveWithLife- yup! I do remember you!
I do get offended pretty soon, just fume inside - cud be all the pluto influences
sometimes I dont stand up and face emotional situations, that cud be gemini flightiness there

alanabelle86 - emotional excess? may be
I have Venus and NN in Leo both in 5th house..from what i've understood if i dont seem to get attention, for instance, i end up demanding it when it becomes almost too late

hey vintry, we seem to be in the same boat then even i was thinking abt public speaking when i came across ur thread on presenting..I too am in the process of developing a strong will

GN - thanks for the elaborate reply..n for understnding us gemini mooners
I am a he, BTW..you are right on the money about being less co-dependent..then again duality seems to be the keyword here, not just about gem moon..but my aries asc(with some uranus aspects thrown in) is in the opposite sign to libra sun,so i def have dependency issues
physical activity, right again..I am trying to get a bit more regular in yoga n stuff
