With the Moon in the Ninth House your feeling, instinctive nature will find expression through some form of emotional attachment to social, ethical or religious values. You have an inherent need to expand your life through travel, study, philosophy and the search for metaphysical truths. Practical knowledge is often obtained through dreams or meditation. Your day-to-day response to circumstance is strongly conditioned by spiritual or ethical values.

its not a long description, i'll look for a more descriptive one : D

but i thought that was pretty accurate about me

I found this on The DK Foundation:

The Moon in the 9th House indicates that consciousness is imprinted with the memory of being exposed to spiritual law and higher knowledge. People with the Moon in H9 may be born to parents who consciously live in accordance with to spiritual values, or have connections with another country or religious tradition, which has a different (and usually stronger) set of spiritual values from that of the culture in which the child is being raised.

If however, he is born to parents whose lifestyle in no way distinguishes them, as he grows the child will become aware that there is something of considerable significance missing from his life and which he may try to find in another country or through a spiritual tradition.

People with the Moon in H9 frequently have a strong memory of having lived in another country to which they nearly always long to return or about which they have vivid dreams. The chart as a whole will have to be studied in order to assess whether returning to what seems so familiar will help or hinder. It may be that by going back, a person will be better able to call up from the unconscious valuable understanding, which may help him to find the way forward .

The position of the Sun in the chart will indicate the area of life through the activities of which this knowledge is to be applied in the current lifetime.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: While a tenanted 9th House offers a person an adventurous life, unless there are planets in the 10th House, it makes a conventional life a good deal more difficult to attain and such is power of social conditioning many people with planets in H9 waste energy and opportunity regretting their own itinerant proclivities. This is particularly true of women with an emphasised 9th House who, as they approach their middle years may be too willing to agree with those who describe their longing for new places and new peoples as mere escapism. It is evident, however, that when the 9th House urge to seek out the new is suppressed, it tends to go underground and emerge later on as a reckless and often destructive desire to bring about change in any way by any means.

Only when the Moon is in H9 does the wanderlust need to be questioned, as this may well indicate a reluctance to be reconciled to the imperatives of the current incarnation.

which i can live with but i get depressed when all my friends get a ton of presents or money from all there family.

I once wrote to someone i think from astro.com about moon in 9th and she gave a good explanation about it but i couldnt find it her name was Dana Gerhardt.

I am emotionally attached to my family overseas and go there every 2 years and stay for long periods at a time, I almost always fall in love with someone from there and all my best relationships and people im emotionally attached to is from there. Though i was raised in aus and my family is here too im always travelling there not caring about the consequences or my stability each time i pack and leave with a one way ticket. I work for 1 year and save and then i go back to europe and live there a year without working and then when im broke i come back again and do it all over again like i have been since i was 16. Im 25 now.

Religion: I was very religious probably since the day i was born i always felt like i could feel the presence of god and that he most definitely existed until my aqua moon bf challenged my opinion on religion and god and the last 1 year i stopped believeing in anything, i guess it was convenient not fearing anything and finding an easy way out. The last 2 weeks ive questioned not believing as well and now i would prefer to believe rather than not to believe because i dont like the idea of going to nothing when we die and i believe something did create us we didnt appear out of nowhere and we cant be created from monkeys and from the big bang theory. I can think in a million ways but i m going back to my religion but i hate discussing it with anyone because im very turned off religion because of the issues happening in the world. I get turned off by guys who look religous because i know theyre just disgusting and perverts and cheat on their wives and it makes me ashamed to mention my religion and blah blahh

I believe in being good to myself first then good to others. I believe religion is love and respect. I also believe religion is the most complicated and complex topic in the world because its very personal and can bring out the best or worst in you.

I just read your comment.. thats very true with me.. I love overseas my family was never religious but i always felt i belonged somewhere else rather than australia. When i get off the plane and land in turkey i feel like running off the plane and throwing myself on the ground and rolling around a few hours hahahahahahha.. I love the culture and i love their spritual values i admire their strength i love their order and i love everything else too. I hate the fact that im not living as lavish as i do in australia but its not a problem because everyone else is the same.

Im moving overseas again in May i cant wait!!! I havent been overseas in a year and sometimes something happens like the weather is similiar that day to how it is in europe or i might smell something that reminds me of there and at that moment everything stops and i just "FEEL" and remember everything like im there and it gives me a feeling of being high and happy and then depressed when the feeling goes.

i always held strong beliefs regarding spirituality and religion, and those were - that i had none of them. i was an atheist practically all my life, refused to attend RE in primary school and never believed anything beyond this world or remotely spiritual. i couldn’t even stand astrology.
always wanted to move out and leave everything behind. now that i’m 30 years old, i did move out and am still a nonbeliever regarding the gods, which annoys my parents still but slowly i opened myself up to “something more” such as the universe mysteries, astrology, fated meetings etc.
so in a way, 9H matters always played a huge role in my life and i have moon and venus in 9H.

I'm not religious. I'm a Christian I have different beliefs like Edgar Cayce. I don't know if there's a God but I do prayer & meditation in the shower everyday. Doing prayer & meditation I'm starting to believe there's a God. I like to be clean when I do prayer & meditation it's my virgo/6th house with hygiene & being clean & having a clean home & fussy about cleaniness. My moon is 9th house/staggittarius prayer & meditation & I get really depressed when I don't do prayer & meditation. I love to study & travel & I did alot of this. Prayer & meditation helps me with my will & helps my mind to see nothing is impossible & with God all things are possible & to have impossible thought.

Well this is pretty dang accurate! There are definitely certain places I feel a *deep* connection to that I have yet to explore. 💯 It's as though I've been there before even though I haven't actually traveled there! Italy & Greece (for example) are HUGE for me.

I take a new trip during EVERY Birthday now. 🎉 And I'd love to live abroad on a tropical island with my future family, while still keeping a smaller second home back here in the States. My 9H Cancer Moon gets the best of BOTH worlds that way! Travel is not only an "adventure" for me... but is also a spiritual journey to enlightenment & growth. 👍🏾 Faith in God is a core essential.

As for my parents...

~BOTH were Sag Risings.
~BOTH were 29° Sag Moons.
~Mom had stellium in 9H.

Neither of them were staunchly religious. But BOTH had a very strong belief in God, possessed a deep love of learning & need for freedom. 💜 I definitely inherited that!! My dad was the eternal charmer who traveled a shytload when he was younger and my mom was the hilarious, hawt bombshell that every man wanted. My childhood was far from boring LOL
