hey now folks,

new to this. but I've got synastry question.

First off I am a lady whom is interested in another lady and was wondering if that has any bearing on our planets and their attraction.

I am a Aries, Aquarius rising with a Cancer moon.
Mercury and mars in Taurus, & a venus Gemini

She is a Cancer, Scorpio Rising with a Leo Moon.
Mercury in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Venus in Taurus.

But our suns are in each others 6th house? I would like to understand how that effects our interaction.

Also, is their much possibility for her to be attracted to me? Cause I get buzzed by her eyes and could afford to get drunk on her disposition alone.

I know the rest of our houses, but didn't want to clog this message board up.

hope someone out there could help???

thank you,
BleuArtemis

Hi BleuArtemis!

I'm not sure how or even if synastry changes for same sex couples. I don't imagine that it would be that different, the reason I say that is because I've noticed with my most favourite female friends, I have exact Venus-Mars aspects , where if we were gay or if one of us was a guy... IT WOULD BE ON!!! Hahaha. But instead we have these fun, giddy friendships where jealousy and cattiness doesn't seem to come into play, like it commonly can with a lot of female friendships...

That said, it's really hard to see exactly what is going on between you and your girl, you really need to see the exact degrees of planets in each of your charts for a good synastry reading.

I've personally had a lot of experience with 6th house placements in romantic relationships and, I'm sorry to say... I don't like it at all. It feels like work. There can be inequality, and one partner can end up like the taskmaster to the other, or best case scenario, "taking care of" the weaker one... Which isn't bad. But I want a lover and a partner and a friend... not a daddy I need to answer to.

All of my serious relationships have been with Pisces men and Pisces is entirely in my 6th house (intercepted!)... Others may have different experiences and interpretations... but that is my take on it.

Does this mean that relationships with 6th house placements are doomed or going to be bad? NO WAY!!! You fall head over heels with someone and you make the best of what you have and the lessons you need to learn from them. Maybe you two have some 6th house lessons to learn from one another. Good luck.

Thank You so much for responding, I didn't think anyone would.

Hmm, so with both our Sun's in each other's 6th house, we would be too demanding to each other?

hmm...her moon is in my 5th house, My moon in her 9th house.
both my mercury & mars are in her 7th house
my venus in her 8th house

argh, what does it all mean?

cause I feel, I could come on way too strong for her and I should just back away. the whole thing makes me a bit sad. I don't know if I should approach her and actually, I haven't very much. Way shy!!!

Hi there, I just had a look at your chart and astro.com actually shows your suns in each other's 5th house! Also there seems to be quite a bit of 'activity' in each others 7th and 8th houses. Not an expert on synastry, but this does look good. And there's of course your venus, always my favourite in synastry, yours seems to receive quite a few aspects from her planets...just wondering, do you happen to find her quite beautiful, or is it quite a sensual feeling?...always curious about the effects of venus in synastry

Haha, do I find her attractive? she is the epitome of what I find attractive. Her disposition makes my stomach get that feeling you read about in books when your a little girl. I've read things she's written and her words I could crawl into with a pillow. Its funny cause she's the androgynous one, very masculine but in a feminine way. Her voice alone sends me to heights. However, for some reason, we had a good start then it just halted and now I don't even know how to approach her or if I should. I just wonder how she sees/feels about me?

thank you soo much for responding Anna. cheers.

Bleu - I'd recommend trying to connect over something intellectual. In your synastry, her Valentine conjuncts your Mercury. She'd likely be enamored with your thoughts (and your Venus widely conjunct her Mercury shows you'd feel the same about her). Just confidently share your views on a topic you suspect she's interested in too. This will also give her some time to get to know you better without any romantic pressure, since as a Scorpio Rising/Leo Moon (I'm the same), she's probably a little proud and shy about appearing vulnerable at first. Her Taurus Venus would enhance her initial reserve as well, but I'm sure she'd be a sweet puppy dog once you're together. Good luck!

lol! I've noticed that placement with a lot of my girl friends too, and the effect is like how you described. I've noticed my bf has that placement with many of his best buddies too. I think it makes cooperation and harmony very easy, each naturally complements the other.

Jane - Yes!!! I was thinking about it some more and it's like, you still feel the electric attraction and excitement around that person, but it's not romantic or sexual. It's really great, I think

Artemis - 5th house is where it's at!!! 6th house placements are tedious, IMO... Glad to hear you don't have them

Thank you folks!! You guys have been most helpful a warming. Thanx for the luck as well. I'll see what the universe wants to do. I acutally have another question...what kind of interaction is it when someone's sun is in the same sign as someone's moon.

like she has a cancer sun and I have a cancer moon?

all, I'm Aries Sun and she's Leo Moon>?

welcome ArtemisAbsurdis!!!!!!!!

check the degrees of the sun/moon conjuction, that is a really good connection!

i've cut and pasted cafeastrology what they say.. it's a great site good luck!

When the Sun in one chart forms an aspect to another person's Moon
Sun-Moon aspects in synastry are highly touted, with good reason. The Sun and the Moon are natural companions in the sense that they complement each other. When they come together in synastry, yin meets yang, day meets night, the subconscious mind meets the conscious mind, and so forth.

The conjunction of the Sun and the Moon in synastry is a powerful connection. How it plays out will have much to do with the condition of these luminaries in the individual charts. Attraction to one another is usually there regardless, perhaps felt most by the Moon person initially. As a relationship develops between the two, a dynamic inevitably emerges in which the Moon person plays a supportive role (sometimes a dependent or submissive role) to the Sun person, who tends to lead the relationship in some manner
