I'm a Virgo woman with an Aries moon and Scorpio Asc. I've never been what you would call a "typical" Virgo either.

I think since Virgo is a mutable sign that anytime you have planets in stronger signs, these may overtake the Sun sign in expression.

When people first meet me, they see my Scorp Asc. I've been told I'm intimidating(ME?!?!?!), reserved, and stare right through people. My friends, family and lovers see me more as a combo of my Aries moon & Scorp Asc in that I tend to be impulsive, restless, passionate and have a problem with being impatient & having a bad temper.

I don't know you or your husband, but is it possible that you were drawn to his Pisces Asc(being soft, emotional, intuitive) but then his Aquarius moon is more aloof & detached?

I could be way off track, but maybe you could share where he's nothing like a typical Virgo as well as his chart? This might help clear things up.

How I read his chart:

Appearance/1st impression - Asc - Pisces
Emotions - moon - Aqua
Thinking - mercury - Libra
How he expresses his love - Venus - Libra

Outside of personal experience, that's it for my personal "expertise." Hopefully someone more knowledgable can come on here and help you more.
