I would sincerely appreciate it if anyone could take the time to objectively interpret my natal chart and current transits. I'm at the point where I don't know what to do anymore. I have a lot of ongoing health issues right now and have reached a rock bottom level of depression and hopelessness. Every aspect of my life is blocked and/or falling apart. Can anyone please help? I can interpret my chart and transits myself (and I have) but I'd really like an objective viewpoint.

My details: born 7-7-70 at 10:02 PM in South Miami, Florida

Here's my chart:

Hi Tigerlily ~

This is a depressing time of year for lots of people, but I think your tSaturn to nMoon may be the major culprit here. You'll get a couple more hits when Saturn rx's, and it'll go direct at 01Vir40 on the 5th of May.

Will take a better look after brunch

Speaking of Saturn/Moon, the tMoon was on your Saturn in the 3rd yesterday….. depressing thoughts/feelings??
Your Saturn in Taurus in the 3rd may be an important key in resolving the issues you’re facing. If you want to read a bunch of Saturn stuff, try this: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/011715.html and Saturn in the Earthy Signs and houses, this: http://www.happydragon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/jkbx/sat.earth.html

Mars rx in the 5th is squaring your nChiron in the 2nd. I think Chiron is important for those with Virgo placements, as I ascribe rulership of Virgo to Chiron. Barbara H. Clow writes: “…the number of aspects between Chiron and the other planets indicates the degree of healing power and natural alchemical response patterns within the native. The house position of Chiron (and Neptune) draws the energy from the aspecting planets, and the healing force of that house is strongly affected by the related planets.”

It’s wide-ish, but you have Chiron sq Sun natally. Clow writes:

“Natives with Chiron square the Sun show the typical pattern of working with squares: they have a difficult struggle with spirituality before the Saturn return, they work on the real meaning of life intensely during their thirties, and they begin to master the dilemma after Uranus opposite Uranus. These natives have a very difficult time at the Uranus opposition when the Uranian electrical infusion exacerbates the Chiron square Sun and tends to cause neurological stress. This is a tough position; these natives need affirmation about the progress of their heavy struggle with Saturn. They need to learn to control Saturn and not have Saturn control them. They are hard on themselves, but let go of control. Once they discover their destiny/Sun, they will find themselves in control with working with the Uranian imbalance.”

“Chiron in the 2nd House ~
The second/eighth house polarity describes the life values of the client. The second house shows what is needed on the material plane to be comfortable and productive, and the eighth house shows what is most essential. The axis is very energized, grounding us into the Earth with the energy of the second house, and then increasingly driving us to purify and deepen with the eighth house. Chiron in the second house signifies extreme interest in balance here, as the second house is ruled by Venus. Richard Nolle notes a strong proselytizing urge with second house Chiron, a desire to define values in general…..
The key to the second house Chiron is to help the client better define their values. If they can, they will be energized by Pluto and find inexhaustible resources within. Chiron in the second house is a potentially very beautiful and giving position, for it often manifests as an unselfconscious compassion for all beings.
Carl Jung has Chiron in the second house opposite Jupiter in the eighth. This position has been a powerful vehicle for expanding into the occult and collective unconscious and then aggressively grounding Chiron in Aries in the second.”

From Martin Lass:

“Chiron transiting the 12th house will tend to bring to the surface our wounds and issues around (1) feeling abandoned and/or betrayed by the universe/God; (2) feeling victimized and/or overly manipulated (by secret enemies); (3) our inner life, dreams, fantasies, and dark secrets; (4) past lives and subconscious impulses (karma); and/or (5) our feelings of being exiled, separate, closed-in, locked-up, and/or incarcerated.
The healing path consists of delving into the recesses of our psyche – of walking into our own darkness without flinching – and learning to love what we find there. It consist of bringing all our disowned, lost, denied, condemned, and negatively judged parts back into the fold. Chiron says that no part of us is unlovable or unloved – the dark, the light, the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly – all parts are embraced by the universe’s love.”

I think when Mars goes direct again on Jan 31st and then crosses your Sun you’ll get a new burst of energy.
From Anne Ortelee:

“You will have such an opportunity about the situation(s) in your life that have appeared, formed and crystallized since the eclipses took place in late August and early September. It will take place in your late Gemini and early Cancer ruled houses or areas of life. Whatever the story involved, IF it feels like an un-natural or un-resolved energy, take steps to redo or resolve it once Mars goes backwards. You have until the end of January 2008 to redo things, as Mars is retrograde until then. You have until the beginning of April 2008 until Mars gets back to where he is right now in the sky. At that time, you will be ready to move forward towards all sorts of new stuff, full speed ahead and no holds barred. Until then the beginning of April, take time to resolve and release your past as Mars wakes up your actions and asks you to review them. Any and all planets found between 24 Mutable and 13 Cardinal are open to have their decisions revisited, choices questioned and actions offered a new or revised opportunity of how to act, move or appear in the world as Mars aspects them.”

I read Anne Ortelee regularly – she’s so empowering!! “Do Your Saturn!” is becoming one of my favorite phrases ;-)

Perhaps you’re already feeling tChiron in the 12th heading for conjunction with your Asc…..
From: http://www.planetwaves.net/PWM000100.key.html

“.......Chiron's transits to the ascendant, midheaven, descendent and nadir can be just as compelling or dramatic as transits to its own natal position. I have noticed that Chiron works with great affinity for the angles of the chart, and the timing of major life events associated with the Chiron process have been uncanny. The sensitivity of the lunar nodes to Chiron transits is a close second, so check them carefully.”

It’ll be awhile yet before your Uranus opposition and Neptune sq Neptune. But the tNeptune conj Asc squaring nSaturn is a dilly. When tNeptune squared my nSaturn exact in the 3rd, I took everything I owned plus my 1yo son and escaped halfway across the country (from a toxic relationship).

You just had a Nodal Return – I don’t have a good feel for this, but here’s Rob Tillett: http://www.astrologycom.com/nodes.html

“The Nodal Return
The Moon's nodes regress to their birth position once every 18.6 years or so, when the transiting nodes form a conjunction with the natal nodes. This means that in our 19th year, we have what astrologers call a Nodal Return. In our 38th year we have another one; in our 56th, another and so on. Significant moments of destiny are marked by these returns, which if we look at these years of our lives, we can clearly see.
It is also notable that, because the nodes are an axis, halving this period gives the Nodal Opposition, the Counter-Nodal Return, when the transiting North Node is in conjunction with the natal South Node and vice versa. So in our 10th year, 28th year, 47th year, 66th year and so on a collison occurs in which the growth patterns indicated by the North Node clash with the established regimes of the South Node, often generating intense insecurities that lead to major transformations of the life-path. This is particularly so in the 28th year, during which the powerful energies of the progressed Lunar Return and the first Saturn Return mark the stressful transition from the Phase of Youth to the Phase of Maturity.
The best way to understand the astrological nature of the Nodes might be to envisage them as bubbling pools of karmic energy. These have a massive potency, which is associated with powerful events and feelings whenever they are activated by progressions or transits. Because the nodes are pools of karma associated primarily with the house in which they are located, the related effects are deep and often seem almost inevitable. It is not for nothing that they are called the Dragon's Head and Tail...”

tUranus is a good way thru your first house – here’s John Townley:

“Uranus transiting the 1st house
Particularly when transiting the ascendant, this can be a dangerous period. Accidents, falls, or any other kind of sudden mishap is more likely during this time. Of course you can’t stay indoors for seven years until Uranus has cleared out of your first house, but it is wise to take extra precautions during the few months it actually crosses the ascendant. For the balance of the period, accidents are less likely. There will be a greater chance of one form of personality crisis or another. It is also a period of self-discovery marked by sudden and successive revelations which may not always be gentle or easy, but will be necessary for personal growth. Patience, which will be most needed at such times, is in short supply simply because that quality is the mark of an integrated personality and the period is one of disintegration followed by reintegration. By the end of it you will have a very different and more cogent style of dealing with the world than before it began.”

I hope some of this has been useful for you.

Hi Tigerlily -

I want to try and help so I'll give it a shot. I can relate to your feelings and I want to help anyone I can not feel that way anymore. I must say that I do not know anything about medical astrology and what to look for so I won't go into that.

1st glance at your chart I see that nearly all your Nplanets are on the rt side which indicates that you focus mostly on others. There are a lot of Tplanets on the lt side of your chart right now which are probably urging you to look at yourself (T Pluto, Jupiter, Sun, Chiron, Neptune, and Uranus)

That natal T-square shows that the relationship with yourself can and should be the healing focus to help your relationships with career/outer world and your home/inner world. Focusing on you instead of trying to do what everyone else wants in those 2 categories of people will help your own growth. TNeptune is close to being exact to 'filling in the blank' there in your 1st and making a Grand Cross. I thik that this Neptune transit can activate some healing if that's what your focus is on. Negative Neptune manifestations could be that maybe you'd feel like self-medicating.

Like Zala said, tSaturn is combined with your nMoon. This could cause you to feel even 'heavier' than usual, feeling emotionally depressed, feeling overly serious, all focused on relationships (7th house) Good side to this could be to use the discipline Saturn brings to steady your emotions.

Node conjunct Node once again bringing the focus back to you. tSaturn moving away from opposition with your N Node. Your goals this lifetime are about You but it seems hard because you have such an active 7th house and inactive 1st house. tNeptune and tUranus are really shaking that up right now and I'm sure it's uncomfortable, but it will be good in the long run.

tChiron is closing in on your Asc too, bringing up old wounds about your physical self and/or personality. This is an opportunity to work on these things. Things come up for us to work out so that they can leave us. If we do not learn these lessons they keep coming up, over and over again.

tPluto and tJupiter square nPluto. Maybe you're having a tough time transforming or changing some aspect or pattern of behavior. Looks like this has to do with other people again due to these planets being in the 8th & 11th houses. Something to do with maybe a significant other (and $) and friends (or maybe a large group of people like doctors?)
It's just that something about transformation isn't quite meeting up in the middle. Each side needs to compromise for something to happen.

tMars(Rx) is still fairly close to your Sun. It's almost like you may have felt like doing something creative perhaps to earn money or more security. Then Mars retro'd and you gave up (for now!) I said $ or security because tMars is square your nChiron in the 2nd. You have big fears about these issues - $ and/or security and/or what is of value to you.

I hope that helped you a little. I am no pro, but sometimes things come through me and this was one of those times. Maybe it will open up a spiral for you that will help you upward and onward. As they say, when there's nothing to be done, Do Nothing. Honor where you are in life. Know that this point in time will not stay the same forever. The only thing that will stay consistent is Change. It is indeed darkest before the dawn, you are just being readied for a re-birth of sorts.

Be Well!

------------------
`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

Nicely channeled, Hexxie!!

More from Martin Lass:

Chiron in Aries
The Wound
A profound lack or loss of self-worth. A core feeling of worthlessness, unworthiness, and even undeservingness of life itself. Self-denial. A feeling of not being wanted, needed, or useful. A feeling of being uncentered, unfocused, and/or lacking solidity.

The Search
The search is for self, for identity.

The Wound's Expression
Tendencies toward putting others first, seeking to please others, sacrificing self, sabotaging self, giving away power to others, failing to stand up for self, being afraid to take a stand, and/or meandering through life, influenced by the slightest change of atmosphere or energy.
Alternately, as a reaction, tendencies toward futile grandstanding, bravado, aggressive reactions to what we perceive as others' putdowns, misplaced stoicism, championing the causes of others in order to feel valuable and worthy, and/or stubborn resistance to asking others for help despite our desperate plight.

Escaping the Wound
Tendencies toward living vicariously through others, compulsively needed to help others (altruism overruling all egoism, positive and negative), trying to rescue others who also lack self-worth, retreating from conflict, confrontation and challenge, and/or avoiding circumstances and situations where taking a stand or expressing an opinion is required.

The Healing Path
The people we try to please, whom we sacrifice ourselves to, help, rescue or live vicariously through, will ever mirror our true worth, ever encourage us to discover, acknowledge, embrace, and ultimately love ourselves and our unique gifts. Simultaneiously, the part of us that will never be put down -- the spirit -- will ultimately fight back against our self-deprecation and against its reflection in the outside world -- ie, against others putting us down. When enough is enough, we will stand up and affirm our worth. WWe are not designed to be doormats.
Where we are unique, special, and gifted (in forms that we may not be adknowledging)? No person on the planet is superfluous or identical to another. Each of us serves a special and unique purpose/service or we would not be here.

The Gift
The discovery, acknowledgement, embracing and loving of our special and unique divine design. The realization of the indestructibility of spirit, despite the transience of forms. The acknowledgement of the divine within us. The growth of presence and spiritual solidity; and the sharing of this by our mere presence, trude self-love, and positive ego. The ability to remain firmly but gently in our own space, despite the opinions and actions of others.

Chiron in the 2nd house
Our woundedness is most likely to be played out through the issues of emotional and material security, safety, comfort, values and well-being. See also Chiron in Taurus.

Chiron in Taurus
The Wound
A deep insecurity. A core fear of losing safety, security, abundance, and/or love; the underlying conviction that these were taken away, were lost, were or are in deficit, and/or were or are missing. A loss of trust. A deficit of values.

The Search
The search for security, safety, trust, and love, often mirrored through material values. The search for universal values.

The Wound's Expression
Tendencies toward trying to grasp, hold on, cling to, covet, and/or hoard security, safety, abundance, and love, whether it is with respect to people, things, or core ideals. Tendencies toward being materially and/or emotionally demanding, clinging, and/or self-centered. Tendencies toward aligning self with transient values; alternately, devaluing of self and life. Whatever form, though, it is all a quest for love.

Escaping the Wound
Tendences toward (1) clinging to material things and to emotionally safe and secure environments, (2) avoidance of risks, and/or (3) immersion in comfort and "good living," though cautious with money.

The Healing Path
Ultimately, we will realize that the safety, security, values, and love we seek are not to be found in the material world. They can only be found in the spiritual heart -- in the wellspring of spirit and in the love that invisibly pervades all things.
In the meantime, our efforts to find and keep material safety, security, values, and love will gradually become decreasingly able to answer our needs. As Emerson said, "nothing of the senses can ever satisfy." Abundance in the material world is but a reflection of true abundance -- that of the spiritual heart, of spirit, and of love. Love is the ultimate value.

The Gift
Understanding the connection between the material and spiritual worlds. Learning how to manage and increase the abundance of the material world. Financial prudence, investing skill, management ability with material resources, steady persistence with these gifts, and a long-term perspective.
Ultimately the gift is discovering, acknowledging, embracing and loving the true wellspring of safety, security, abundance and values, ie the spiritual heart, spirit and love. The material world is the playground of spirit, the schoolroom of the higher self, and the mirror of the sould, ever enticing us to awaken.
The gift is a return to the trust that love will always be there, always is there, and was never missing. It is the realization that when we lose, we simultaneously gain -- the universal law of conservation and compensation; also, that we cannot lose spirit (spirit being love), because spirit is eternal, omnipresent, and indestructible; we are spirit (love) and spirit (love) is us.

I was looking at your chart, and I am not sure if your 7th or 8th house is intercepted. Anyway, this is what I see:

Transiting Saturn has been conjuncting your moon in Virgo, and this typically signals a sobering time, and often a depressing time.

More importantly, you have natal Saturn at 19 degrees of Taurus, and it has been been squared on and off by transiting Nepturne for a couple of years.

When Neptune squares Saturn, it usually brings 1) confusing and hard-to-diagnose and hard-to-cure illnesses, 2) a desintegration of your life structure, where everything that was solid seems to fall apart, as Saturn signifies solidity and structure and foundation, and Neptune is just the opposite. Neptune is presently at 19 degrees of Aquarius, and will move to 20 degrees on December 1st, easing its way out of its square to your Saturn. Things will get better then for you, starting in December.

Next year, Jupiter in Capricorn will trine your moon (in January) and also your Saturn (in March, June and November) , so you'll have many opportunities to repair some of the damages done by Neptune. Don't give in to despair. The best is yet to come. You will repair your health and your life's structures.

Thank you all so much. It's very hard for me to ask for help from others but I've gotten to such a desperate state of hopelessness and depression I felt I had to try to reach out and ask for assistance. The kindness you've all shown in taking the time and effort to help me understand what's going on with me has moved me to tears. Everything you all said hits home (I've bolded the particularly powerful points of truth on how I'm feeling/what I'm going through).

It is the realization that when we lose, we simultaneously gain -- the universal law of conservation and compensation; also, that we cannot lose spirit (spirit being love), because spirit is eternal, omnipresent, and indestructible; we are spirit (love) and spirit (love) is us.

quote:

Thanks again for all your help. I appreciate it more than I can say.

hello tigerlily,

i just wanted to tell you i have been going through the same thing myself (in fact your words could have been my own) so i know EXACTLY how you feel, i really do.

i'd like to share with you a website that helped me pull out of my depression several months back, simply just by reading several of its articles - and i was very close to being suicidal - so that is saying a lot.
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/

my life is still in complete disarray, but even now - several months after finding the site, depression has yet to be able to take hold of me again.

everything i have read there i have found to be extremely inspiring, but to help you out i have listed a few articles below that may be of benefit to you.
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/06/overcoming-depression/
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2007/08/life-sucks-then-you-die/
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2007/09/feelings/

it really was nothing short of a miracle the way it helped me - i hope you find it does the same for you.

may all good things come your way,
justice4world

(in case anyone is wondering, i am not affiliated with the site or its owner in any way - it truly did help me.)

Thanks for trying to help, justice4world. I appreciate the kindness of the gesture. I'm glad those articles helped you. I read them with an open mind but unfortunately they don't help me. I wish they did. It's hard to try to only give attention and focus to the things that make you happy when part of the whole problem with depression is that everything that once made you happy doesn't anymore, you just feel empty.

The astrological analysis from everyone has been very helpful. Understanding the relationship between my natal aspects and current transits is helping me focus on the root of things so that I can delve down into the darkness and conciously work on the issues that are currently being triggered. That's my path to healing and ultimately to real and lasting happiness. Maybe that's one way my Virgo stellium and 8th house stellium manifest - intense Virgoan analysis of the darkest recesses of my psyche in order to pick it apart and put myself back together, discarding that which is no longer needed or healthy, so that I can transform myself and evolve to a higher level of conciousness and personality maturation. It's a constant cycle of life, death, transformation, and rebirth.

One thing I've discovered from this and from past bouts of serious clinical depression (depression being a lifelong problem, unfortunately) is that challenging transits to my Moon and Nodes (my Moon conjuncts my South Node and opposes my North Node) are the hardest for me (perhaps because I'm a Cancer and thus ruled by the moon?). This transit of trSaturn conjuncting my Moon and S Node and opposing my N Node isn't what I thought it would be. For some reason I had thought it would be a positive transit focused on building a new foundation and structure in my life, as it was during my Saturn Return. But, no, it's not quite the positive rebuilding process that I thought it would be. And Pholus is currently squaring my Moon and Nodes which feels similar to the way things were when Pluto was squaring my Moon and Nodes. Also I can see now that trNorth Node opposite my natal Moon is more powerful than I thought. As is the Nodal Return. I thought it was going to be an incredibly positive spiritual time of me aligning with my destiny and dharma. But it's not quite that easy. Throw asteroid Karma into the mix too - it's squaring my Moon and Nodes right now. And now the Sun is closing in and will be squaring my Moon and Nodes as well. At least that's more of a short term transit, thank God!

I just got out of the trSaturn squaring my natal Neptune transit a few months ago but now it's switched - trNeptune is now squaring my natal Saturn. Ouch! Neptune transits are really tough, aren't they?? And thanks to everyone's help in this thread I see now what I had overlooked - the sandwich of Chiron / ASC / Neptune in conjunction (even though the orb is 4 degrees believe me, that's enough to feel it intensely). My health issues are certainly in focus with trChiron positioned in the 12th house presently but moving to the 1st. Besides some very obvious and clear health problems (Chiron conjunct ASC?) there are other health problems that are more nebulous.

Anyway, this is turning into a long post so I'll just close by saying thank you again to everyone who helped me.

Happy Dragon, thanks for taking the time to cast a chart for me. I don't know what program you used but I'm sorry to say the results are incorrect. Perhaps your program didn't take daylight savings into account or you put the wrong time? My Moon is 4'20 Virgo (not 4'31), my ASC is 15'17 Aquarius (not 21'40) and my MC is 28'04 Scorpio (not 3'07 Sagittarius). Some of the houses are off as well with your program. I've been studying astrology for over 23 years, since I was 14 years old. I have done my chart using many different programs and had different astrologers do my chart as well over the years and my results are always the same. So if 10 sources say the same thing yet one source differs I'm going to have to question that one source as having the wrong info.

Thank you though for trying to help me.

~ Tigerlily ~

cheers .. yeah i know it works out different ..

if i input EST time it works out *exactly* as your astro.com chart ..

be just .. i've been using a different method to calculate the time diff. to GMT ..
and by comparing notes it seems to have been more of an accurate method ..

i.e. there are 27 different options for time calculation in this programme ..
the programme is Kairon .. and it's on the astro.com site as a free download ..

guess .. i'll have to do some research as to which time calculation to use ..

i'll delete that post above so as not to confuse ppl ..

well here's an explanation as to why i'm using LMT ..
i.e. to calculate the difference to GMT ..

as far as i know LMT uses the longitude/latitude co-ordinates to figure the real time difference to GMT ..
the time zones are a human convenience .. i.e. so folks in miami ( for example ) ..
will have their clocks set to the same time as folks living 20 miles west of miami ..

i.e. if they didn't it would be very confusing to everyone when it came to time planning etc ..
however .. that does not take the real time difference from GMT into consideration ..
i.e. the time difference as determined by the earths rotation ( not human set time zones ) .. so in actual space time ..
the time difference to GMT for folks living 20 miles west of miami will be some minutes different .. to the time in miami ..
( and the time set in miami will not actually be the real time either .. i.e. as different to GMT .. )

the planets .. and the angles positions in degrees as related to the earths surface ( place of birth map co-ordinates ) are not set by human beings .. i.e. the time zones ..
they are determined by the earths rotation .. ( and obviously their own movements in space )
hence using LMT would be more of an accurate calculation .. as opposed to using the standard time zones ..

in anycase i will research that again ..

re:
** I have done my chart using many different programs
and had different astrologers do my chart as well over the years
and my results are always the same.**
well .. if EST was used .. then the results would be the same ..

all i can say really .. is try using LMT .. and note the inner planet transits ..
and how they might effect you .. i.e. transits to the Asc/Mc as determined using LMT ..

( edited 11/27/07 .. 10.50 gmt )
blurb about computers deleted ..
as it's probably not relevant ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i went and had a look at various ways of calculating time ..
i.e. data about various time zones .. local mean time ..
nautical time .. etc etc ..
so far it's just left me confused ..
but still of the opinion that LMT might be the way to go ..
not sure though ..
so for now .. i'll leave off posting any chart or transit data ..
or at least any data regarding aspects to the asc/mc angles ..
as for your header post .. maybe a diet change is the answer ..
this drink is excellent at healing .. and fighting feelings of depression ..
try googling .. " Kombucha " ..
( just a suggestion is all )
