The first thing I noticed about your friends chart was her NN conjunct your Sun.

I did a progression.
progressed Mars is 25*51' Libra
conjunct Natal Sun at 26*50' Libra
and approaching the conjunction with Natal Ascendant and Saturn both aneretic at 29 Libra

Progressed Mars is still in the 12th house which urges caution, there is always something hidden with the 12th house
Conjunct Sun shows the possibility of being to hasty in decisions and biting of more than she can chew. Arrogance can be a problem too, curb her enthusiasm.
This is important because the conjunction with Saturn is coming and with it more responsibility.
But this one is good because it shows career enhancement. This is supported by the Sun ruling the 10th house.

Has there been a possibility of deception in a relationship as an issue for her and a spouse? Is she getting divorced? I'm having a hard time figuring out what her 9th house issues are suggesting, especially as transiting Pluto is beginning to square her Moon for the 2nd time out of what might be a (shock) 4 time pass in 2 years???!!! Ouch!!

That's what I'm getting is being reflected in her chart. She seems to be alternately happy, then depressed, then happy again. It even looks like there may have been some nice successes for her in the last 2 1/2 years, even some reward coming along when Pluto and Jupiter conjunct on the 11th, they will be sextile her Sun and square her Venus/Mars midpoint.

I don't know if she's married already or what, but the Moon in her 5th house of giving love suggests some romance or creative issues but it rules her 9th of law, philosophy, philanthropy, internationalism. Is she traveling?

I need more details to clarify, but can you confirm some of this for us? Thanks.

Just the pipsqueak's 2 cents among all of the experts here...but I can tell ya that transiting Pluto squaring my Pisces sun in the 5th...especially while it was applying...was ROUGH! Lots of changes and pain. With the moon...ouch!

The Sun as the Referee between equidistant Neptune and Saturn can be a fabulous placement if blending can be accomplished instead of the vacillation of the Sun-energies between the Planet of Boundaries and the Planet of No Boundaries. There is both a huge well of creativity possible – especially if she’s reconciled the quincunx of Sun and Moon (in the 5th) and doesn’t see-saw back and forth between them – and the discipline and structure to build for the future. With the 5th house ruler in the 12th I bet this lady is capable of enormous spiritual regeneration, if she can avoid the dissolute aspect of Sun conj Neptune. This will take a strength of will that I’m not sure I see in this chart – however the applying tPluto sq Moon (3rd pass) will shake her to her foundations. I’ve found nPluto in Leo to be a bedrock of Will Power when I thought I was running on fumes only. Pluto/Moon is/was one of the most hair-raising transits I have ever experienced, and is only just now waning in my own chart. I had to deal with 4th/8th house issues, she will deal with 2nd/5th. I wonder if she’s ready for the detonation of her values/traditions in order to reorganize her emotional landscape and creative outlets, and come to terms with her inescapable link to the Collective Unconscious?? This is a scary transit – sometimes it feels like you are at the end of your rope and hanging over a pond full of crocodiles. Sometimes you feel like all your emotions are trapped inside a dark leaden-shielded cave with no ingress/egress and no air to breathe. Sometimes it takes all your will power just to put one foot in front of the other and slog thru the day. Sometimes the fear takes you around the neck in a stranglehold and it’s all you can do to keep a full-blown panic attack at bay. Randall, I hope you can be the grounded Earthy voice of Perspective to allay some of the doubts that will blindside her.

Sun square Uranus produced a rebel in me ;-) Your ladyfriend and I both have our Suns in Cadent/Mutable houses, but my Uranus is dignified in the 11th – I tend to gratefully ascribe the Fixed energies of that house with helping smooth out that aspect, even if it is the Home Field for rebels .

I would be very curious to know what has happened at times when the Jupiter/Vertex conj in the 8th (trining Sun/Saturn/Neptune, squaring Mars and sextiling Pluto) has been activated by a transiting body!! I see a mental doorway being blown wide open….. has she experienced any odd psychic encounters in the past several years??

I love the Watery Grand Trine in Fiery houses!! And throw in the kite with Venus/Mars, it’s a lovely collection of energies The wide Venus/Mars conj opposite Moon is a fun one to deal with too ;-D What sometimes feels like an emotional blockage can get loosened up by the presence of Mars there to energize/infuse the opposition and alleviate some of the blockage. Of course, that energizing can come out in a short-fuse temper when her Scales are out of balance ;-)

I’d very much like to know what her career is!! I want to know how she deals with the Mars in Virgo perfectionistic streak and tunnel vision focused on getting the details right (“There is no forest, there are only trees”), with that Cancerian MC and most of Leo in the 10th. This woman could be a mystic, or involved in paranormal investigations – she could be a very active yet deliberate thinker. I don’t see an Airy personality who could talk until your ears bleed – not with Saturn on the Asc, but I see excellent communications skills if she isn’t held back, by her own fears and possible self-esteem issues, from expressing herself fully.

Saturn bang on the Ascendant could be a constant cold water faucet when her Scales are swinging towards cheerful and optimistic. Has she merged her Sun and Moon energies to relax/mitigate this dampening effect, or does she stay mostly on the sidelines in social situations and observe?? Not every Libran is a social butterfly, but I have no doubt that the Sun trine Jupiter brings a sunny open facet to her personality. Has she ever struggled with her weight??

I’m mainly concerned about her 12th house issues. I know where I came from, and how difficult it is to escape – but the rewards?? Fabulous!!

What is she doing with her Cardinal energies?? Please give us a few facts so we can explore new avenues instead of generalizing, OK Randall?? You say she’s had some tough obstacles – Inner, or Outer??

Her tVenus in the 12th house - This is a very difficult placement, even in transit. If she is in a relationship, the person she is involved with may be acting like an enemy in some way. Or she may be sabotaging herself in a relationship. Even if neither is the case, the venus there can be causing deep-seated issues to be acted out in some way - depression, feeling hopless, etc.

With TN, moon, and uranus in the 5th house, I'm thinking I could be onto something with a relationship, since the 5th rules sex, and also fun activities, which includes friends. Uranus is getting closer to her nMoon, so things may become worse before they get better. Ditto with tVenus and nNeptune in the 12th.

Mars is in proximity to her natal Uranus and it's Rx, so that will be another difficult transit. She has a pattern of uranus maladies occuring, both natal and transiting. tMars will pass over her nUranus the same time her tUranus will pass over her nMoon. Ouch!

The tMars in her 9th is puzzling. I don't think the 9th just rules college, religion, and court cases, but it rules a higher meaning in consciousness. So, with tMars going over her nUranus she is shaken to the core, no doubt.

The 2nd thing is her tSaturn poised to touch her nMars (There's that ditto again - same as natal and tranisting Uranus!!) She's getting it from both possiblr ways with mars and uranus, so they are KEY to understanding her problem. I think if we think about mars and uranus, we get a huge clue into her problems: They are unpredictable, fierce, and unrelenting.

There may be a lot of anger directed towards her and within her (since she has both transiting influences and natal one's simultaneously.)

Continuing, tSat will go over her nMars, and nVenus. Again, ouch! And again, there's that double whammy with venus - it's both a violator and a victim, since it's transiting a bad place and being hit by a bad transit.

The tSat in the 11th brings up friends again. It also brings up hopes and wishes,which brings up hopelessness again. Remember I mentioned that from the 9th house.

Sigh...she just has to hang in there...there is nothing else to do.

PS - is there a possibility, no matter how remote, she could possibly get arrested? Maybe she may end up doing something stupid, like acting out all her frustrations, in a criminal way? If so, it's a possibilty in the transits, BUT if she exercises control she should be fine. Bring this up if you think it's a possibility.
It occurs to me, since her 5th and 11th are involved that this *could* be in relation to a child.

With the 9th, I'm sure she must be questioning the purpose of everything..life, love, family, religion...

in short .. i would think possibly it's due to how she and her partner ..
are **Reacting** to the Pluto transit ..
are the health problems due to stress and worry ???
has that had a knock on effect to her finances .. ??
has the relationship problems effected her health and finances ???
what transits is her partner Reacting to .. ???
given that Pluto transit has been effecting her personal planets
Mars .. Moon .. and is applying to effect her natal Venus and Lillith ..
there's a good bet the same transit is effecting her partner ..
given there's a probability those personal planets are part of the Synastry interplay ..

she could possibly do with some *good advice on how to handle a Pluto transit* ..
i.e. from an emotional point of view ..

ditto for that potential Chiron transit ..

those transits will not last for ever ..
hence neither will the effect on her emotional state ..

however the Consequences of How she handles them probably will ..

unfortunately that Pluto transit won't be over untill the end of 2009 ..
and she's likely to Feel the emotional effect when she gets some of the shorter term transits ..
so by knowing When those shorter transits will take place ..
she could be Ready to deal with How they might effect her ..
( i.e. her behaviour and state of mind )
instead of being effected by them as if they came out of the blue ..

Pluto transits for example are often accompanied by egocentric personal power trips ..
which in turn often Invites ill feelings from others ..
.. and potentially subsequent defensive or agressive action from others ..
resulting in some form of power struggle ..

it sort of goes like this with the transiting astrological influences ..
if one were to be burned by fire .. but didn't know what fire was in the first place ..
or for that matter could not see the fire .. only feel its effect on one's body ..
then what ??? .. how would one explain the burn ??
blame it on someone else ??? .. think that oneself is going crazy ??

but if ones knows about fire in the first place and the potential effect it has on one's body ..
then it's a different story .. is it not ?

just replace 'fire' with 'astrological influence' ..
