*He immediately mentioned that he didn't feel good during our last visit, he was on one of his "down" days .. and he said he wasn't making eye contact, stumbling over words, etc..I didn't notice any of those things and told him that. He basically apologized for it and said he felt better this time.

*He "jokingly" asked what I tell my friends when I go to the prison to visit. He asked if me and my partner (for the program) make fun of him on the way out.

*He asked me how old I think he looks, if he looks like he weighs 200 lbs (he's 6'4"), asked if his goatee made him look older than he is.

*Opened up about how he's really glad that the program director matched him with sponsors/mentors who are share so much in common with him.

*Wants us to send him information about philosophy, religion, psychology, etc to help him put the facts in his writings.

Things are going well, I think he is trusting us and opening up. For reference..
