Venus in Leo - as far as he's concerned (consciously or not) love should be all about him. He wants his lover to praise him, be his audience. This sign is very warm, passionate, but also very controlled and stubborn (i.e. not as crazy and free-wheeling as Venus in Sag or Aries).

Mars in Virgo - this has more to do with how we go about getting things in general. How we defend ourselves, assert ourselves, and take action. In Virgo, Mars is very by-the-rules (I'm not sure what rules he plays by, tho!) Here's a good description (from Kevin Burk):

quote:
Mars in Virgo is peregrine for all but the last 6°. Virgo’s practical nature helps to ground Mars, but Virgo’s obsession with the little details has a tendency to keep Mars occupied with the small stuff rather than with the big picture. Of course, Mars in Virgo will actively defend its position that it’s the details that are really important. Think of Mars in Virgo as Dustin Hoffman in the movie Tootsie: Hoffman plays an actor so obsessed with the little details (such as whether or not a tomato can sit down in a commercial!), that no one wants to work with him. Mars in Virgo is happiest when it is able to be of use – then the energy and drive of Mars is focused on being helpful, and on trying to make the physical world a better place.

How this would work in a relationship... ? You'll end up with someone fiery and passionate that wants all of your praise and attention (Venus in Leo), but the way he goes about getting what he wants will be determined by Mars in Virgo - e.g. being a stickler, argumentative, know-it-all. Sounds like a problem for his Venus in Leo actually.

Also, both Leo and Virgo are signs that value a neat and clean appearance.

well said pvacation..
shyness, privacy and stiff disciplined approach in everythin....ifu know wat i mean

i thot venus in leos are dramatic
like public displays of affection, Passionate and sensuous .Would mars positioned in a strict critical virgo dampen this ? Does it make him always be on guard and never be vulnerable and naked(emotinally )
apart from cleaniless and paying attention wat makes such a person let loose and be honest abt desires

I thought that in a man's chart, mars shows how he behaves in romantic relationships and Leo shows the kind of woman he desires.

So he'll be serious in relationships and have very high standards. However, aspects to mars can alter this, particularly if it is aspecting a planet with the sign of a dramatic sign like Leo. He'll most likely show his affection by serving you and providing for you.

By having a venus in Leo, he desires a fiery and proud woman who wears stylish clothes and has a regal presence or at the very least he prefers women are bold and exude confidence.

Keep in mind, that the moon is also important to consider since this shows the type of woman that a man chooses for more long term relationships and possibly, marriage.

Astra-
Thats so funny cos you just described the weird kinda crush (or something) a guy I know has on me.

He has venus in leo (conjunct my moon) and where most guys freak out when I jump on my soapbox about something, he loves it. He's very much into the public displays which annoys me as he's NOT my boyfriend, yet whenever we run into one another at the pub he insists on standing right next to me and to the rest of the world I look like 'his woman'.
His gemini moon conjuncts my ascendant as well though, so maybe that explains it.
We're just friends though

OzMeg,

Aww...that's cute! Yeah, some guys can get a little bit possessive even when you're not their girlfriend.

My weirdest experience involved a Scorpio guy. I was helping him with physics and afterwards, he proposed to me! I told him I had a boyfriend, so he backed off.

Its weird cos I won't run into him for months at a time but its always the same. We've actually hooked up twice in the past- sept 2006, then june 2007- but he's always the same no matter what. Even when I was in tears cos my heart was broken by someone else (whom he knows, and has always known about us).

This guy is an absolute tart though! Lol! I blame the gemini moon, his spectacular body and innocent (seeming) dimples. Its always me he gets possessive of though so thats kinda cool

The guy I know with venus in leo is also a cancer sun, but gemini moon and I'm not sure of his asc but I'm guessing libra (dimples) he has mars in capricorn.

Like I said, the guy I know is a tart (lol!) when he's single and loves that physical gratification, but he also stayed in 2 long term relationships when anyone else would've run screaming. I'm guessing thats the emotional connection.
He's also very sensitive to other's feelings (I think thats the cancer sun) and quite insecure when it comes to woman he actually likes. Something I didn't realise as he's very confident in all other areas (even with his 'casual' flings).

So maybe your cancer will WANT to be the venus in leo in love, but his sensitive cancer sun and reserved virgo mars will hold him back- possibly more loyal and steadfast (taurus moon, cap asc) which in the long run I think will possibly make him rely more on the emotional than physical but maybe in the shortterm he expresses it more physically?

Just guessing though

The last man I dated has Venus in Leo. He is very much into PDA, which got a bit annoying at times. He is super sweet and attentative but also dramatic and wouldn't budge when it came to meeting me half way {he is all or nothing....I have way to much Sag in me to be in that kind of relationship.} I would have to agree with one of the earlier statements- He was all about himself when it came to the relationship, even if he didn't see it that way. Venus in Leo has a lot of great points, though- affectionate, loyal, fun and loving. As far as Mars in Virgo, I have that placement. It makes me very picky.

jani, it would be more helpful to post your chart. moon really matters a lot here. i know a Scorpio moon with this combination (Venus in Leo, Mars in Virgo) whose Venus is in a strong square to Saturn - and thus is very shy and difficult to get to know. And his Mars is trine Neptune - very involved in art, very sensitive, higher plan of acting that is beyond everyone else..

But his Moon is poorly aspected, making him hide his emotions (in 12th) and on the whole very shy. i dont think he has the confidence to aim for real girlfriends, so he seems to form relationships for physical needs. but on the whole, i think he wants more and with some change of approach will get it.
