Hey everybody!

Does my chart hit any of you guys as being "tricky"? I talked to an astrologer yesterday, and she just looked at me with a "poor you" kind of attitude, based on my chart. I've already checked all the aspects, but i'm not skilled enough to "get the big picture", and i would really appreciate if anyone of you could tell me what she might have meant by that.
Please be honest, I can handle it (or at least I think so)

Thank you SO much
Idu

Well I hope you didn't pay her anything for that diagnosis, not helpful really, is it?

If I get time I'll have a look at that but at first glance it doesn't look that bad ~ I didn't breath in or wince or anything. There is a fair amount of testing aspects in red but if you look closely the aspects on some of them are quite wide and some astrologers would not count them. Even if they did it doesn't mean a lifetime of gloom and misery.

p.s Thanks for improving my Scandinavian geography. I thought your city might be in Sweden, but now I know better.

She was probably reacting to the square between Sun and Moon, the square between Sun and Ascendant, the exact opposition of Moon and Ascendant - plus Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter retrograde, Sun opposing Chiron, and Cap planets in the fourth house (opposite their natural tenth house energy).

I wouldn't fret over any of it, just read up on the retrograde planets as there can be bonuses to having them (Mercury retrograde natives aren't affected negatively by Mercury retrograde periods like those born under a direct Mercury, etc.). Also read on your oppositions and squares as they are prominent. You have a nice Pluto, Sun, Ascendant, and north node, in addition to a lot of good cardinal energy. Your chart isn't bad, but sadly there are a lot of bad astrologers who think in outdated absolutisms such as, "Oppositions and squares are bad news," etc. Oppositions and squares give texture to what could otherwise be a bland chart.

Oh, man—is there anything worse than a judgmental astrologer?

No, I don't see anything "tricky" about your chart, really. There are some challenges, sure, but nothing I would characterize (esepcially to the chart owner) as difficult.

My first impression: You've got a pile-up of planets in the 4th, which means a lot of emphasis will be on 4th house stuff for you in this life cycle (home, interiority, sense of self). Could indicate some imbalances between that part of your life and other parts of your life, but other than that—I think Astralmuse summed it up quite nicely.

Here's the chart with smaller orbs:

It's interesting that opposite the t-square is the Ascendant. That's where you focus in order to resolve the t-square, right? (I'm not the most knowledgeable on them since I don't have them in my chart.)

Hello Saturnldu,

Unfortunately you met an astrologer who has no clue about how to give an astrological consultation or reading. If she thinks your chart is "tricky" then her skills SUCK!!!

There is absolutely nothing tricky about your chart whatsoever. You have just turned 18 and for someone to give you the impression that there may be something wrong with you because of your chart is just plain abusive and not coming from a place of healing at all. Always remember:

There is no one on this earth who knows you better than yourself. NO ONE!

Please take that in.

When some one looks at your chart, they are supposed to have a discussion with you, the chart doesn't define who you are, the chart suggests energies that you use, the symbols guide the astrologer after discussing your life experiences and seeing how you have used those energies through life and it will show the astrologer how you may project those energies in the present time and into the future.

Also, I am 41 years old and I wouldn't be able to handle it if some one was going to tell me something awful about my chart. As a matter of fact, I still do my best today not to show many people my chart, because I don't trust every person to interpret in a healing manner. I have also had astrologers look at my chart and tell me dismal things. It leaves me shaken up and frightened about life instead of teaching me how to work with the energies that might now always feel good and to remind me that they are tools that can work for me instead of damning me to hell in a hand basket.

Everyone's chart has difficult aspects. I've seen many charts that traditional astrology would say are wonderful, lucky, beautiful, and that the person lives a charmed life, but when you really know how to read a chart you can see that the person has lived anything BUT a charmed life.

So the lesson is, be careful who you trust in terms of your healing and a very wise man named "Little Stevie Wonder" once said:

"If you believe in things that you don't understand, then you suffer. Superstition ain't the way."

My question for you is, did you go to this astrologer with particular questions in mind? It looks like you may be graduating from high school if you are in the U.S. or if you are in Denmark, you may be having some kind of educational milestone, trying to figure out your future. I really don't know, I'm only going by your age, not your chart.

What was you purpose in soliciting that astrologer?

i dont think there are good or bad charts, on the contrary i find that most hard aspects or so-called "difficult" ones just explain a lot on how things are for u, and that is what she was supposed to help u if u are not experienced enough to see it urself...

I keep reading that the most famous people in the world, or great achievers in some field, had some very powerful aspect they understood and took advantag of.

winky i agree

let's use our charts as a terrain map, which shows what resources can be found and where our potential difficulties lie, so that we can be prepared to deal with them.

I've read all your replys, and i'm relived it aint' that bad. I see some of the challenges in my chart myself, but i know it also means opportunity, so it's not the end of the world to me.

The astrologer i was talking about, is not one i personally seeked out, it was a friends mom, who asked for my birthdata, and she didn't even know i was into astrology myself. So when she gave me the "bad news", i just replied that i didn't believe in astrology anyway. Maybe that was a bit cowardly done, but i don't think she has the right to know, after telling me that.

And to Geocosmic Valentine, YES i am at a very important time in my life right now. I am moving away from my mother for the first time in my life, more than 300 miles away from my family, and i am very nervous. So i have considered seeking out an astrologer, just for som insight about this, but after what the experience this lady gave me, i'm not so sure anymore.

Anyway, thanks for your time and advice, it is much appriciated.

You are about to experience Pluto transiting through Capricorn, which will be a loooooong period of thorough self-investigation and transformation. Now is actually a good time for you to look into astrology in order to prepare for it and make the most of the upcoming years with Pluto crossing most of your chart's energy. There are good astrologers out there who aren't anything like the grousy pseudo-astrologer you encountered, and there are a lot of good books and websites for self-education.

Rod Stewart and Denzel Washington have had a lot of accomplishments and they are fellow 4th house Cap Suns square Libra ascendants.

My mother locked herself in the bathroom crying when I left home at aged 18 {Aries Moon Square Jupiter}. I was alright though, {Moon Trine Saturn}.

The Pluto transits coming up in the next few years might not be what you would want in your 40s but for a young woman setting out in the world they sound just right.

I'm sure you will be fine, and your mother too. Nothing is impeding Mercury that I can see, so keep in touch and that will help things. I have a good friend I haven't seen for several years (long distance apart) but it doesn't seem like that with text messages and email giving instant communication.

I wonder if this family friend had ulterior motives for making you feel like doom is around the corner. People can be odd. Good call brushing it off, sounds like sensible diplomacy rather than cowardice to me.

It's not so much my mother i'm worried about, it's more standing on my own feet, with no one to help me if things go wrong. But i somehow know that this is the right thing to do for me, it's simply time. Even though i'm nervous about it.

How funny, i always liked Denzel Washington a lot! I once saw a television-program about him, and he seemed like a very strong person. I'm not saying that i'm anything like him though, i just like him a lot.

She might have been commenting on your t-squares, but really, those give you drive and ambition to grow.
