Here is my natal chart, for quick reference.

I have recently thought about being an attorney or doing something with law. Considering my chart, would this be a reasonable/realistic thing for me? I know that some qualities for an attorney would be logic, quick thinkers, and articulate. Oh, and please don't tell me that if it's what I'm interested in, I should do it. I'd like some astrological evidence or at least some support. Thank you.

Yes. In particular criminal.

Jupiter exalted in the 10th. Gem on MC - talk talk talk. Mercury in detriment in Sag but sag is a law-friendly sign. House of exploration - 8th, ruler (venus) in 5th - entertaining and thus maybe a good barrister. Sun in Sag - law friendly and it is the ruler of 12th, so maybe you can tap into the secret, sublime, hidden. Mars/pluto in 3rd - an ability to explore with communication - good with examinations in court, put pressure on witness, deep examination. Moon in libra - again libra is a law friend sign. NN in 6th - a career maybe which makes a different and heralds community work, ruler or 6th (uranus) means you are able to bring something very personal to this job and chiron in 11th - healing provided maybe by old wounds (victims).

Yes, Yes, Yes. I see prosecutor

Thank you 23, that conclusive answer helped a lot. Glad to know that there are some "lawyer" aspects in my chart.

In terms of elements, I think earth and air are best suited for law careers. Air for the objectivity; earth for the discipline.

I spent a year in law school and discovered it wasn't right for me, and I've identified some things in my chart that show it as not being for me. So I looked in your chart for those things and didn't find them. So all clear!

I found some things that said it's a good choice. There were a lot of Virgos and Libras in my class (more than chance). So your Virgo Asc and Libra Moon jumped out at me.

I think the IC-MC axis is very important in terms of our life path. I think of it as the axis of integrity. We won't feel like we're being ourselves out in the world unless we're able to express our IC self in MC ways.

You have your chart ruler, Mercury, conjunct your Sag IC. Your Sag IC tells me you're philosophical and like to see the big picture. But that's not where you like it to end because of your Gem MC. Your MC wants to apply the universal (Sag) to the particular (Gem). I think this is very favorable for law, since it's all about learning precedent and applying that to the particular case. Starting big (the rules) and then applying those rules in a way that benefits your side. Having Mercury conjunct your IC focuses your Sag energy on cerebral things, rather than the other ways Sag energy can be expressed. (Your Sun may express Sag in other ways, but your IC at least is more focused on mental pursuits.)

Mars and Pluto in the 3rd is excellent for law, I think. To me it says you have some major endurance and discipline academically, and you'll need that because, ask anyone in law school, there will be times when the content will bore you out of your mind and the workload will make that boredom last for hours and hours, so endurance and discipline are extremely valuable traits for law.

I see you're only 18, but if you do choose to pursue this, when it comes time to take the LSAT, I highly recommend the Logic Games Bible. Good luck. I'd say your chart shows law as a good possibility for you. Something you'd both be good at and enjoy doing.

Here's your MC persona chart:

There's a lot that's tricky for me to interpret in your chart(s). It seems to me that your Moon (emotions) are pushing for the legal career. In your natal, it's the only planet in Libra, the scales. In your MC persona chart it's the only planet in the 7th, Libra's house, and it's in Leo, the showman. Aside from Libra I'd look for Capricorn to point towards that career (Capricorn, because Libra rules Capricorn's 10th house of career). You have a stellium in Capricorn in both charts, the majority of which are in water houses (4th in the natal, and 12th in the persona).

Moon (emotion) in Libra, and Capricorn emphasis on water (emotion) tells me that if you do get involved in law it should be in a way that seeks to nurture the client. I would think you'd have to be of the "helpful" variety of lawyer, and probably not swim with the "shark" types too much.

Some interesting points in your MC Persona chart are the Sagittarian MC, which would point you in the direction of possibly teaching, philosophy, and travel. Also, I see that your MC/Career's Ascendant (appearance to the world) will be that of a humanitarian (Aquarius). There's a "Mystic Rectangle" in this chart, and that indicates (according to this site) "an extremely strong sense of balance and structure, of harmony between the four planets involved."

Jane,

Thank you, your interpretation sounds very favorable. I want to big make changes in my life, and having a goal for a career makes me feel much better. I probably will pursue law and see how it works out.

AcousticGod,

I agree, I'm not into the conning or do I ever swim with shark types that much. I'm new to this, so what is the significance of an MC Persona Chart? I couldn't derive a definitive answer from your response, which is why I'm asking.

Well, to be honest, I'm not sure how much we can rely on persona charts. I'm not sure if persona chart science has really been tested yet.

I started to attempt to explain them, but this link can do a much better job of it:
Persona Charts

I do think Persona Charts are fascinating, and if they do ring true in some manner then they're helpful.

Personally I would choose something more ethical then a Lawyer. but anything with communication would prolly be good. Mercury is a strong theme in your chart.. your AC/MC angles in virgo and gemini repsectively both ruled by mercury. A packed 3rd house Mercurys and Geminis House. Mercury conjunct the IC and the Sun a very personal planet. How about a writer or something to do with the Media?

besides that I couldnt help but notice just looking at your chart that we would have some stellar synastry in my opinion

Id say yes, focusing on either property matters /real estate or with immigration and international law. Vocation ruler is Mercury in Sagittarius on the 4th house cusp. Jupiter also in Cancer in 10th, reflecting this 4th house analogy through signs.

Thanks to everyone who responded--you have given me very profound insight. While being a lawyer is probably not in my best interests, I do want to do something with law or justice. Maybe criminal law?

Seeing Stars--what sign are you? I've been wanting to meet someone with good synastry with me.

Also, would anyone have recommendations for professions that would be suitable? I want to look into my options.

That's pretty badass; seems we're on good terms in the major aspects of someone's personality. You know, I've read recently that Sagittarians have this "unexplainable" attraction to Cancers. I wonder if that's actually true; it was an odd list, with Taurus having an unexplainable attraction to Sagittarians.
