Oh I hate this planet!!!
I really really do!
It has been opposite my Sun and Venus for the past 9 months!!
I has ruined half my friendships, made me quarrel badly with my parents, has totally FROZEN my unexisting personal life, and RUINED my Feb. exams (and is most probable to ruin my current exams too) and grounded me hell too many times recently!!
I'm almost suffering from depression here! Everything seems to go wrong!
And F*** it's still opposite my planets in 4 deg. !!! I have to wait at least one more month!!

Aaaaaaargh!!!
Anybody else going through these transits?

Uranus is my bugbear.

But transiting Saturn square my natal Jupiter/Neptune was de-motivating (not hard with this aspect). It is moving away now and I am starting to get my act together. I tell myself I still got the important jobs done, I hope so, now is the time to make the most of new found energy and get some extra things accomplished (that have been waiting around).

Transits pass, yours will too. Make the most of it when it does.

I personally hate Pluto. At least Saturn moves faster...

Thing is these transits are happening ultimately for our benefit and our soul-growth. I know you're sick of hearing this, so am I. But truth is, if everything would be alright in our lives, if we'd stop overeating, engaging in destructive relationships, procrastinating etc etc, these transits would be a lot milder.

Good students don't get punished, so the only way to get through difficulties is to learn the lesson and pass the examination of these harsh teachers.
Cheer up, you have only one month left.

Excellent, Izo!! (**claps hands**) May I quote you??

We don't have to be Victims of Transits.....

Awareness of what's on the horizon (transits) can help us modify our behavior so life-challenges aren't as painful -- I say this from the POV of someone who just survived tPluto sq Moon and tSaturn conj Asc, with tUranus approaching conjunction with Moon I have 9 of 10 planets between 20-29 degrees, so over the next few years or so, Uranus, Neptune, and Chiron will touch (or have touched) ALL of them -- goody.

Annoying as it may be to hear this, This Too Shall Pass..... and it really is useless and self-defeating to project the blame for challenging life-experiences off on balls of gas and icy rock in the sky

I actually LIKE Saturn. I've had worse transits. I embrace Saturn because I know I need this stern taskmaster's boot up my backside If you "Do Your Saturn" every day, Life seems to run much more smoothly.....

Coincidentally, a friend and I were discussing my experience with Saturn.

Currently tSaturn is:

Conjunct nVenus in my 11th House
Separating from a square with nUnranus

and there are upcoming tSaturn parties to come like tSaturn conjunct my PoF, sextile nJupiter and nNN amongst other things.

I can't say I am struggling with this transit but I am incredibly sober about life. My only worry is tMars squaring my nMars at the moment. Even tUranus is doing some wonderful things opposing my nSun [sarcasm in case you missed it]

How has Saturn treated me? Not too bad. It has only ruined things that were already in ruin and what Saturn is doing now is helping me clear out dead wood. Actually, the entire mood of this transit reminds me of when I was younger (I used to be more serious then).

Yeah, tSaturn is allowing me to see things objectively without the emotions that usually cloud judgment, or without the emotions that make me desire to hold on to things that have no value or benefit to me anymore. I am more efficient now. I am getting a lot done. I am more focussed and I am enjoying this time that I have to take care of myself because Saturn has made me more introspective than usual.

I am making major decisions about the future, investments - securing things more than expanding resources and I have the focus for it. Hmmm...

I'm feeling a little better now ...
As U2 said : "It's just a moment, this time will pass" ... right?
I guess I have to deal with it.

A couple years ago I went through a horrendous Saturn transit.

Saturn was transiting my 8th house.
Saturn was square my Sun, Mercury, Pluto, Venus, and opposed my Mars
Saturn was also conjunct my Moon.

Right now, Saturn is square my Saturn and Uranus is square my Uranus.

The key with Saturn is yea, if you're not ready for it, it'll bite you in the ass. But you better make sure you learn something and take it with you, because if not, it's only going to get worse. Every transit, especially the outer planets, is meant to help us grow and evolve individually.

Saturn can seem horrible because when Saturn transits a specific NATAL/progressed house, angle, aspect, and/or planet, things come to a screeching halt. The planet doesn't MAKE things happen, that's not Saturn's nature. Saturn simply digs up what's already there and makes you deal with it head on. There's no more skating by.

Saturn was going through my 7th and 8th house when all this occurred. I began my 1st serious relationship, and lost my virginity (8th house- sex).

When Saturn squared my Sun, I grew up. I fought my parents, especially my father who I had long standing issues with. I went off to college (Sun rules my 9th house). I was trusted with personal responsibility (Sun-Saturn), and I blew it. And so, my parents (Saturn) stepped in, and long story short- I grew up.

Then Saturn squared my Pluto, this probably coincided with my rough school year. I also went through serious psychological issues. Things I'd buried for years like eating disorders (Ceres-Pluto conjunct in Scorpio), depression, and suicidal tendencies. I also had MAJOR issues with "friends" and learned a great lesson from that. When this was over, I weeded all the negative people from my life. Pluto rules my 11th and 12th houses, and sits in my 11th house.

Then Saturn activated my Moon/Mars opposition. Conjunct my Moon in Leo, I was forced back home by my parents and demanded to prove to myself and them that I can be something special and actually achieve something. They knew this already, but it was a test to see how much I'd grown. As I stated before, When Saturn squared my Sun, responsibility was shoved down my throat. The Moon-Saturn conjunction now tested my emotional maturity. My relationship was HELL. It was loveless, and it hardened me..but it also taught me not to be naive. During this time, I literally became a new person, a complete transformation. I totally grew up. (Moon rules/sits in my 8th house of transformation)

At the same time, Saturn was opposing my Mars. I was driving a lot more, for the first time alone. I was a horribly reckless driver in my earlier years(Who wasnt?!) But I had my fair share of super close calls, that made me wise up very quickly. Money was also very tight and I had to learn how to prioritize my values (Mars rules my 2nd house of values and money).

Then Saturn squared my Venus and the true colors of my relationship exposed itself . I also began an affair with one of my best friends(Venus sits in my 11th and rules my 5th and 6th houses), my health went down the tubes and I was visiting doctors and getting tests done on a daily basis at age 20. I also finally settled on a career and excelled in my studies. Venus is the ruler of my MC, I received many rewards..

Thennnn Saturn squared my Mercury, I transferred to a new school(Virgo intercepted in the 9th), broke off my relationship and reunited with my soulmate (Mercury rules my 7th and sits in my 12th), had a ton of car issues and became terribly afraid of driving (After all those Saturn-Mars close calls).

Now Saturn squares my Saturn AND Mercury, and all the hardwork I'd done in the past 2 years in school to prove myself went down the tube as I was forced to take my hardest subject (Accounting! What a Saturn-Mercury combo) and failed miserably, I also dealt with corrupt teachers/school policies and had to clear my name...often.

So long story short- I know what you're going through but trust me, you'll get through it. There's a learning experience in every little thing you're experiencing and it's meant to make you stronger so..hang in there !

Actually, I have been sitting here in silence, trying to figure out how I am feeling and the perfect way to describe it is 'numb'. That should freak me out, and I am freaked out, but because I am numb, I can't freak out. Personally, I prefer being depressed than being numb - numb is a little sinister to me.

Hmmm...

I prefer being "numb" than being depressed, but most often when I'm numb I end up in tears after a short while...At least I'm relieved this way

Nah... I have been numb most of my life and the day I felt something for the first time in years, I was so happy. LOL... I went for years without crying. I thought my tear ducts weren't working. I remember I would hire sad movies and try to cry but NOTHING... and then one day something happened and I felt something. It was pain that i felt but it was so good feeling again. I don't know if that makes sense. But being numb is being half alive. I would seriously prefer to be heartbroken then to not feel anything at all. But that's just me. I am probably a crazy sadist.

Thank you plutoprincess.

people who complain about having a bad uranus transit, try living with the aspect FOR LIFE.
But 23, everyone has “bad” aspects in their natal charts….. be glad you’re not Brooke Shields

I've got the opposite problem. What happens if you have worked hard and are punished anyway? I was such a hard worker and I put in so much effort, not to get another better job. Saturn punished me for working hard. Explain that to me or do you consider my situation a blessing? Seriously, I'd like someone to explain
I have a question, 23 – all these jobs you worked **very** hard at: did you love what you were doing?? Were they your chosen career, something that made you happy?? Perhaps Saturn and the other Outers were pushing you to do something you LOVE, and you were on the “wrong” path??

YES! I loved the work. I didn't like the environment but I loved the work. It was the environment and the people that made me turn away in the end. But I certainly loved doing the research behind it.

Zala, you're the best!

Alana, wow! You are one tough cookie! I'm glad you got out of those experiences alright!

23,
Perhaps you're looking at your experience from the wrong angle. What I mean is that you natally have conflict between your 10th, 4th and 7th house, it is already in your own make-up, Saturn only triggered it. There is conflict between your need to shine and succeed professionally, the family responsibility and dependency issues with your partner. You need to ask yourself what was the transit trying to teach you, after all. Perhaps you were working too hard, you were too ambitious and had no time to smell the roses or spend quality time with your family. The fact that you didn't like the environment is another fact you should consider.
Use this time off to think what kind of career/job you will pursue next, one that allows you to establish balance between your ambition, home responsibility and partnerships.
I went through Saturn square MC (and Venus and Chiron) last year, with Saturn transiting my 7th house. My relationship came to an end and I experienced a fall from grace professionally, but in my case it was my doing, I chose to give it all up. Then came Neptune and squared that bunch as well and I started to doubt my decisions. Was it the right thing to give all that up?
I also felt it was hard to pick myself up again and restarting from scratch and I am still struggling with my lack of motivation and enthuziasm where my career is involved, but I think I did learn something from this. I do think I made the right decision, because something was missing from my previous life and I had to search for the missing piece. I am not sorry about this, but I am sorry I didn't apreciate what I had more.

Thanks for your help yet again Izo! I suspected that that was what was happening, the life balance issue. Still its frustrating being put on leave by saturn....especially for someone like me who feels a lot guilt for not working.

So how can we prevent Saturn transits from being worse? I mean if we have prior knowledge... and we know that the transit is coming? Say when motivation is a serious issue and no matter how much you try in your situation it's just not working?? Saturn is transiting my 10th house at the moment (still conjunct my MC by 4 degrees), and at the beginning of the transit I was really fired up about getting my career to go somewhere... I was so motivated - by all of it. The career goals, ambitions, recognition... but the more I realise how much my job isn't exciting enough for me, the less motivation I have. And I'm worried that my lack of motivation is leading to my falling standards and that my bosses will hate me and fire me. What worries me the most about this is that it's not easy to get an above-average income so easily, and I'm not kidding when I say I need AT LEAST this much income to pay my bills and my debts - any less income, and I am in trouble! Also I work and work and haven't taken annual leave in five months, so I get tired and stressed. So I finally took annual leave this week and I FEEL BAD ABOUT IT... legally I'm entitled to it and I know the break will do me good, but I feel as though I have no right to ask for a break for some reason. I just feel like if I don't work like a packhorse they'll think I'm lazy, but if I don't take a break my work standards are going to get worse and worse. I am starting to look for a new job cos I'm so worried about what will happen when Mars hits my MC soon (technically it's already conjunct within 4 degrees) and then conjuncts Saturn! I know this all sounds like I'm self-fulfilling the prophecy...

23,
I've been staring at your chart for the last 20 minutes or so lol. Yes, I think your career is a serious deal to you, and you should not give it up. Having Sun there tells me it is a part of your identity, and Cappy on the cusp means lots of ambition and drive to succeed professionally. It gets however complicated because the 10th house ruler, Saturn, resides in your 4th house. Perhaps you could work at home or do real estate business. Was one of your parents unemployed, or had some failures career-wise? Or perhaps they were not pleased with your career choice? I think your workaholic tendencies are an attempt to overcompensate for a void or sense of loss you felt from your parents or early conditioning in this respect. Pluto in the 6th might also be a sign of an workaholic, but this is the place where you feel most alive, or reborn. I find it interesting that you have another conflict between Jupiter in the 1st, Pluto in the 6th and Moon in the 7th. So in a way, what makes you happy (jupiter in 1st) goes agains your duty as a partner and employer?
I don't know what your previous job was and what is your sphere of experience, but I think you'd make a great therapist or teacher (because of Jupiter and Chiron in the 1st)! You're clearly very inteligent and well read and you put a lot of passion in your knowledge/studies (Mars, chart ruler in the 3rd, in Gemini nonetheless and Venus, DC ruler in the 9th and in Sagittarius). I think these 2 professions would be a benefic outlet for your oppositions, you'd get to play mental ping-pong with your students/clients. Writing is another option - in this case you could do it from your own home (MC ruler in the 4th). If there is one person very qualified for communication, it's you! Writing also means projecting, another positive outlet for your oppositions.

GeminiLover,
Sometimes it is not in our best interest to "prepare" for the transits, to do our homework. Ugh... this evolution stuff it's really complicated. What I mean, sometimes you need to let the other shoe drop, so to speak, and surrender to the unknown. I understand there are financial security issues here which complicate your situation, but I think you already know the job you have now is not good for you.
Saturn's transit through your 10th might not be all that bad as you think. You might actually find a job you'll have for a long time (Saturn is talking long-term), one that is more suited for you and more realistically on your true path. For instance, in a Solar Return chart a few years ago, I had Saturn in the 7th, and I met a very significant partner - this was my longest relationship so far. Saturn conjuncted my MC by transit when I was 3 years old , but it made a conjunction by solar arc when I got into med school. By transit, Pluto conjuncted MC when I first started school, and by solar arc 2 years ago when I threw my previous career plans into the recycle bin. These were not bad changes, in fact they were quite positive! Perhaps you will not apreciate them when they happen, as you will need to adapt to a different lifestyle, but you will surely after a few years.
Speaking of careers, I finally came to a decision regarding my speciality. Thank you for the reading you did for me, it was really helpful. I'd like to reciprocicate and do a reading for you, if you think it might help. I'd do it gladly, though I must warn you I am quite inexperienced.

23,
As I continued to stare at your chart, I noticed that the transiting NN for the moment you set the transits on, was aproaching an opposition to your natal NN. I'd say that the termination of that job was pretty damn fated!

How to prevent a bad Saturn transit...? Hmmm... Maybe you can stock up on lots and lots of weed so that you're stoned senseless throughout the exact period. And don't smoke it. No. Put it in your comfort foods like in cakes so that you can kill two birds with one stone- get fed and get under the influence simultaneously. Oh... And go on leave.
