Hi Kbug, I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling so down. I've been experiencing quite a bit of that myself lately.

I'm still new at this, but I think depression is linked to Saturn aspects.

Hang in there, and be positive. Try to examine what negative thoughts or feelings are causing the depression. Try to get to the root of the thought or feeling, face it, then clean it out, and let it go.

transiting Saturn is conjoining natal Venus ..
transiting Chiron is re-aspecting the Ascendant by square ..
( i.e. it's retrograde and goes back to 16 deg before going direct again later this year )

at least .. Saturn will move on .. and will not retrograde back to that position :-))

after the 24th July .. it will pass exact orb ..
so the Saturnian weight on your Venus will diminish quite rapidly ..
( given your Asc. is Taurus .. Venus would be your chart ruler )

Dead on, Happy Dragon! Saturn was also conjoining her mercury, which rules the mind.

I just wanted to add, Kbug, there is a reason why Saturn is doing what it's doing to you.

It's trying to teach you a lesson. Please take the time to learn the lesson he is teaching you now, otherwise in a few years, when Saturn will be squaring your Venus and your Mercury, you might pay the price for not having learned the lessons he is trying to teach you right now.

.. **Saturn was also conjoining her mercury,**
yeah i missed that .. it certainly can't feel too brilliant to get saturn hitting on both at once ..
( especially when one is still in one's teens )

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ kbug ~ .. re ..
**I have had depression for a couple of years**
you've also been dealing with saturn ( conjunctions ) transits since late 2004 ..
plus good old Neptune by the looks of it ( opposition aspects ) ..
both can bring about depression .. Saturn is well known for it ..
one thing that does stand out in your chart ..
you've no major aspects to Saturn .. except for one ..
Saturn opposite Chiron .. and i've no doubt that could be quite a difficult one
( i have saturn in 'square' aspect to chiron in mine )
something else .. your a Leo sun ..
Leo is the ruler of the fifth house ..
and that is where transiting Saturn is in your chart at the moment ..
and just a thought .. i've always thought a Saturn transit could feel a bit harder for Leo's ..
simply 'cause transiting Saturn can feel like a shadowy depressing weight .. like a cloud blocking out suns rays ..
( i.e. Leo having the Sun as a ruler .. )
*** At least it wont last forever right?***
no .. :-) .. well at least hopefully not ..
i think part of it is due to how your placements are grouped together ..
~ when you get a transit aspecting those placements .. you get a whole run of them ( transits ).. ~
i.e. must feel like it's going on forever
e.g. i mentioned 2004 'cause that's when Saturn was conjunct ( same position as ) your IC ..
that's the line with "IC" written at the bottom
since then it's moved around ( counter-clockwise is the regular direction ) .. to it's current position ..
suggestion .. maybe get on the free astrology course here at LL ..
( i think you have to email Randall the webmaster to get access to that course )
i.e. learn the symbols and how the various planets move around the zodiac wheel ..
what 'aspects' are .. how to spot them in a chart .. what 'transits and progressions' are ..
your natal Saturn is in Aquarius and 10th house ..
maybe have a read of the relevant Saturn files here ..
~ http://www.happydragon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/jkbx/audiofls.html ~
and .. the page showing how to spot aspects in an astro.dot.com chart ..
( or any chart wheel for that matter )
~ http://www.happydragon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/jkbx/noting.aspects.html ~
there's some info here as to what Chiron represents in the chart ..
~ http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/018404.html ~
it's about venus and chiron .. but .. it will give you an idea about chiron in a chart ..
i've got this thread bookmarked .. in time .. i'll drop back in with some info ..
( i want to get your chart done in my software for starters )
and btw .. if you can .. get some astro software for your PC .. i.e. even a simple programme that would show the planet's positions on any given day .. there should be something like that available for free off the internet .. the reason is .. if you follow your transits you will soon put the two together .. i.e. the transit to your chart .. and how it makes you feel ..
( i.e. any given transit )
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
off topic .. but maybe something here to lighten your mood .. :-)

Kbug, I am sorry to hear you had to stay in the hospital.

You have a stellium of personal planets at the bottom of your chart, so when Saturn hit these planets one after the others, you literally ended up hitting rock bottom, because Saturn's energy is not an uplifting one. In sensible dose, Saturn can be grounding, but too much of Saturn will drag you down

And no, it won't last forever.
