I have my venus and mars in Leo (im attracted to leo men) ...but lets say, a man had their sun in the first house, would they act like a leo?, thus probably making me attracted to them?

Not likely.

A first house Sun adds a similar self-centeredness that Aries/Leo impart, but various signs grant entirely different modes of expression.

A first house Taurus Sun, for example, would likely have the self-centered 1st house traits, but would do little to comfort your Leo Venus/Mars.

It also depends what type of "attraction" you're talking about. A square like Taurus/Leo could cause a lot of physical attraction, and you may admire their individuality, but I imagine this would quickly fade as things progress.

If the Sun is conjunct Asc in either an air or fire sign - it would be similar enough to a Leo vibe..

I'm not sure about the same conjunction in earth or water.

I disagree. A first house Gemini Sun could very well be too stuck in their own head with detached analysis and cerebral pursuit for fiery Leo's zest for experience. A first house Aries Sun may simply have too much ego, and create a burned out battlefield of indignation with the heavily Leonic individual.

To make a broad generalization, I personally believe that first house Suns, while obviously magnetic and thus often inherently attractive, offer so much of a given energy that when it comes to others seeking a real relationship, too much may just be too much...

...which is why I ask what type of "attraction" we're talking about.

I know men with Mars conjunct Asc who give me a very Aries-like vibe.. regardless of their Ascendant sign (as long as it is masculine) - including Gemini.

Just to clarify myself, Marila specifically mentioned first house Suns, so that is the only placement I was referring to.

mines at the end of house 1, does that mean a cusp between house 1 and 2?

I think there would be a solar flavour to the person but there would also be a 1st house/Aries flavour as well. The greatest impact though will come from the sign of the Sun which might be detected an appreciated by someone like Marilla but Sun in the 5th of course would be even more liked.

LL09- sometimes if planets are close to the cusp just before house change over, they can be interpreted in the next house. This is especially if it is a cadent house planet on the edge of an angle. I tend to leave the planet not approaching the angles in the house that they are in, others might dispute me on it.

Friend of mine had first house Gemini Sun, conjunct the Ascendant.

He was VERY Gemini, even slipping over to the dark side of the sign with a wit and humour that masked a disdain for other people and an inability to connect with their feelings.

Saying that as a Gemini myself, I suppose that's why I picked up on it. To outer appearances he was a lot of fun, witty, entertaining, etc.

Bluey, I suppose they would be very Gemini because the inner matches the outer (Sun v ASC).

However, physically did they have solar characteristics or some solar presence? Most 1st house Sunners do have something solar about them, like the hair will be wavy, the smile will broad, rounded headed etc. There is a solar presence about them. Eg Michael Hutchence, Sun in 1st in Aqu; Rising in Cap but there was something catty about him.

I have Jupiter in the 1st house (conjunct my AC) and people think I am something special. I am not!

Other people have better opinion about me that I do.
