But what is the best thing you've ever had to write - in uni or college for instance or wanted to write, in general (books, stories, poems etc). By 'best', I mean your favourite. It could be just a short poem - the length doesn't matter.

Post your Mercury sign/house/aspects.

If you're not really a "writer" that's cool to. That could be related to Mercury anyway, so just let me know if it's not your thing.

I write all the time... when l was a child l wrote lyrics and then l wrote short stories and now l write psychological and esoteric stuff. I have a blog if you'd like to see it!

I've never really titled this poem. I could never think of a proper one. I entered this into a few poetry contests and won one of them. I wrote it when I was 16.

In the Creative Non-Fiction: Memoirs class I took a year ago, my super hippy teacher had us write a quick one page summary of who we were as an introductory thing for the first day of class. It was 8am and I was in a bad mood so I just wrote this: I am an independent clause. He thought it was brilliant, lol.

Poems are the hardest to write, I have difficulty finding my imagination...where is it?! I used to be imaginative as a kid but I feel like I have become a stone.

Anyway, I wish I could write but I'm horrible. But I love to read and listen to what people have to say. :-)

The only story that I remember garnering me anything more than giggles (or belly-laughter), involved writing a story featuring an inanimate object ~ we had to inject a personality into that object, and write a story around it ("A Year In the Life of a...") I was stunned when my teacher was so impressed, that she insisted on reading it to the rest of the class, and sent it to the Headmaster for a special sticker (ah, middle school ~ I had just turned eleven). I didn't enjoy the attention at all, and since then, I don't think I've written anything impressive (essays were okay, but I no longer enjoyed writing stories ~ it's like I just shut down part of my imagination).

I have Mercury in Aries, conjunct Ceres/Chiron/Sun, in the sixth house. Mars is in Pisces, square my Gemini Moon/Venus ~ Mercury rules my eighth house Moon, Venus, South Node, and Vertex... My mother is the writer in the family ~ she has Mercury in Sagittarius, along with her Sun. Jupiter is in Libra, conjunct her Moon, Chiron, and Neptune.

*edit. I keep journals, and there was one entry from October of 2006 that makes me smile. It was one of those times when I was just thrilled to bits with my life, and wondering "What if everything in my life really has happened as it should have?" I was in a great place emotionally, and I couldn't sleep until I'd written everything down, that had been rushing through my head.

The best thing I've written was an essay for a high school English class..it was one of those national essay writing things where you had to choose one of their topics and had to write in that booklet with lined pages...anyway, I wrote about the effects of the 9/11 attacks (this was written the schoolyear after it happened)

It was rated, out of five areas like grammar, voice, etc...on a scale of 1-5: 5, 5, 5, 4.5, 5. I was WHOA, and it was selected as one of the examples they would use in their booklets in the coming years. I thought that was pretty cool.

And here is something absolutely ridiculous that I wrote for fun for a Facebook group called 'Hyperbolic Lyricism' . It is supposed to be aggressive, vulgar, and exaggerated...if you're offended don't read, but it's a good laugh

sounds so aggressive when you read these rhymes

Just amazing.

When I was in the 4th grade I had ADD very bad and I would sit in class and write poetry. My teacher bought me a blank book for writing my poems in. I made a promise to myself that I would write at least one poem a year. And that lasted until I was about 19 lol.. So I wrote this very long, very deep poem about someone I had a major crush on in high school. I later found that poem in my sister's closet written out to her boyfriend and she signed her name at the bottom lol..

I'll have to look for it so I can post it here.

I just found it harder and harder to write poetry now.. I chalk it up to writer's block.

mercury is on my sun/moon midpoint, Libra 3 deg, 9th house. It sextiles uranus exactly, and mercury rules my 9th and 6th house. So I am not sure what this unlocks, because it widely squares my neptune. All foggy to me.

Interestingly I will have to use it in my work (6th) and studies (9th), and I believe following a strict writing style (virgo 9th) is now very indicative of my studies. I write about social issues (11th), and very easily I stray (neptune in 12th) into dreamland.

Since i was 14 ive held diaries of all my memorys and feelings on everything. VERY DETAILED and VERY HONEST about it all.

I even write times and places and people i have met when travelling and stuff since i was 16.

I have jupiter conjunct uranus in 3rd and i also have neptune conjunct my IC in 3rd.

Moon in gemini in 9th.

I collaborated on a long fan fiction story with a friend this past summer. I know that right there sounds childish but I assure you,it was a dark comedic murder mystery with lots of loops and ironic twists. I've written alot of fics before this one but this one will probably go down as my favorite work of all time.

The name of it was "Murder at Le Chateau L'Arcane" and no, Im not going to post a link.
