I wanted to post the lyrics of this song again, for all of those who ever heard the "Let's be friends" line from a love, and asked how?I fall to pieces Each time I see you again I fall to pieces How can I be just your friend You want me to act Like we've never kissed You want me to forget Pretend we've never met And I try and I try But I haven't yet You walk by and I fall to pieces That's the mood I'm in today, and I know someone else feels this way too. I don't know how it's done, but it takes strength. I fall to pieces Each time someone speaks your name I fall to pieces Time only acts to the play You tell me to find someone else to love Someone who loves me too The way you used to do But each time I go out with someone new You walk by and I fall to pieces I fall to pieces Each time I see you again I fall to pieces How can I be just your friend You want me to act Like we've never kissed You want me to forget Pretend we've never met And I try and I try But I haven't yet You walk by and I fall to pieces The last time I spoke to my ex boyfriend who's with someone new, I asked him a crazy question, I asked "Is it safe to walk up and kiss you?" He held his breath and said nothing, and I hung up the phone. Good Luck to You, Natasha

Hi Sthenri, I love Patsy Cline also, she just has a lovely soulful voice. Have you ever thought that there is someone near you (maybe in a class or at work) who likes you very much, maybe even loves you. But, your not able to feel that because you are thinking of your ex? I could be totally off, but that's just a a thought I had after reading your post. Anyway, I hope you feel better. IP: Logged |

Natasha I can relate with you.. I had a similar situation last yr with my guy but somehow we made up..! Here is a song for you (though a bit out of context..)Say Goodbye Not knowing when The truth in my whole life began Say Goodbye Not knowing how to cry You taught me that And I'll remember The strength that you gave me Now that i'm standing on my own I'll remember The way that you saved me I'll remember Inside i was a child That could not mend a broken wing Outside i looked for a way To teach my heart to sing And I'll remember The love that you gave me Now that i'm standing on my own I'll remember The way that you changed me I'll remember I learned To let go Of the illusion That we can possess I learned To let go I travel in stillness I'll remember happiness I'll remember And I'll remember The love that you gave me Now that i'm standing on my own I'll remember The way that you changed me I'll remember Now I'll never be afraid to cry Now I finally have the reason why I'll remember

Here's a big hug for you, Natasha. Hang in there, lovely Taurean... somehow things are gonna turn out alright... in ways you never expected. Slowly, but surely. ------------------ "Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak. Sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go". IP: Logged |

Healing for Natasha. For those of us who have also been there, here's my favorite from Patsy (though I'm partial to the version by Cowboy Junkies): WALKIN' AFTER MIDNIGHT I go out walkin' after midnight, out in the moonlight just like we used to do I'm always walkin' after midnight searchin' for you. I walk for miles, along the highway, well that's just my way, of sayin I love you I'm always walkin' after midnight searchin' for you I stop to see a weepin' willow cryin' on it's pillow, maybe he's cryin' for me, and as the skies turn gloomy, night winds whisper to me, I'm lonesome as I can be I go out walkin' after midnight, out in the starlight, just hopin' you may be somewhere a walkin' after midnight searchin' for me I stop to see a weepin' willow cryin' on it's pillow, maybe he's cryin' for me, and as the skies turn gloom, night winds whisper to me, I'm lonesome as I can be I go out walkin' after midnight, out in the moonlight, just hopin' you may be somewhere a walkin' after midnight searchin' for me IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone, I also like Elvis's version of Kentucky rain, out in the rain searching for you...Yes we broke up for good about two weeks ago, it was very harsh. There is a blonde who he (Gemini) has been intimate with and he respects her life more than mine, she's cooler and blonder. I think he likes the challenging ones, and then gets bored. He is also going through his Uranus square Uranus transit, no commitments right now, too difficult. It's hard because he kissed me (and still wants to kiss me) and then tells me about her on the phone. Even worse I have her email address since he sent to me once by mistake...you can imagine how I felt about that, and the time he mistook me for her, and the other times... It's just too much work for him, and yes I am a Scorpio/Taurus combination myself so I get it. Thanks, I have to get my confidence back again. Natasha IP: Logged |

Your posts brought this song to mind..Let Me Go, Lover ~ Teresa Brewer (Go . . . go . . . go) Oh, let me go Let me go Let me go, lover Let me be Set me free From your spell You made me weep Cut me deep I can't sleep, lover I was cursed From the first Day I fell You don't want me But you want me To go on wanting you Now I pray that You will say that We're through Please turn me loose What's the use? Let me go, lover Let me go Let me go Let me go You made me weep Cut me deep I can't sleep, lover I was cursed From the first Day I fell You don't want me But you want me To go on wanting you Now I pray that You will say that We're through Please turn me loose What's the use? Let me go, lover Let me go Let me go Let me go ~~~~~ and this one... If you're a guy that's had a gal in each and every port And you've forgot the rules of love that life has always taught And if you broke as many hearts as ripples in a stream Well, brother, here's the only way that you can be redeemed CHORUS Cross over the bridge, cross over the bridge Change your reckless way o'livin', cross over the bridge Leave you fickle past behind you and true romance will find you Brother, cross over the bridge If you have built a boat to take you to the greener side And if that boat is built of ev'ry lie you ever lied You'll never reach the Promised Land of love, I guarantee 'cause lies cannot hold water and you'll sink into the sea CHORUS I know it isn't easy to resist temptation's call But think of how your broken heart will hurt you when you fall 'cause some day you will find that you are hopelessly in love And she'll belong to someone else as sure as stars above CHORUS Cross over the bridge Cross over the bridge Cross over the bridge FADE Cross over the bridge "Cross Over the Bridge" by Patti Page I want to say more, but I'm too tired, and I don't know if it'll come out right. Good one Angie! one of my favourite names:> You don't know what this means to me right now.Anyway that's the danger of sending a man a love song, I sent this one Kentucky Rain sung by Elvis and next thing you know he was agreeing to the lyrics...of course he didn't really feel that way, talk about projection! I can't help it, I am always playing that song in my head, but next I will be more selective: Seven lonely days And a dozen towns ago I reached out one night And you were gone Don’t know why you’d run, What you’re running to or from All I know is I want to bring you home So I’m walking in the rain, Thumbing for a ride On this lonely kentucky backroad I’ve loved you much too long And my love’s too strong To let you go, never knowing What went wrong Kentucky rain keeps pouring down And up ahead’s another town That I’ll go walking thru With the rain in my shoes, Searchin for you In the cold kentucky rain, In the cold kentucky rain Showed your photograph To some old gray bearded man Sitting on a bench Outside a gen’ral store They said yes, she’s been here But their memory wasn’t clear Was it yesterday, No, wait the day before So I fin’ly got a ride With a preacher man who asked Where you bound on such a dark afternoon? As we drove on thru the rain As he listened I explained And he left me with a prayer That I’d find you Thanks, for the love and cheating songs! IP: Logged | |
