So he genuinely does desire to reach out to you before the New Year, there's a burning desire in him to do so (Page of Wands/Knight of Wands). He is going through a period of recovery though - something in him is fundementally changing, this seems to be a watershed moment in his life (6 of Swords/Death), so this transformation is putting him in a more of quiet frame of mind. With the center card being 9 of Swords, I get the vibe he has a lot of anxiety right now and is overthinking things. With you, with the ex-wife, with everything. So he will probably wait it out and contact you after the New Year, as the King of Pents is a very slow, thoughtful card

Moon | Lovers | 4 of Cups | 2 of Pents | 8 of Wands
Clarifier: 6 of Pents

So I think a lot of hard conversations would have to be had between you and Jordan first before reconciliation, the Moon cards points to a lot of sub/unconscious behaviors/thoughts/trauma that need to come up to the surface in order for there to be resolution, and the fact it's crossing the 8 of Wands shows that these conversations very well might take place in 2021. There is a sizable possibility of you guys reconciling and being in a relationship again. I'd say it's 50/50 at this point, because the Two of Pents is crossing the Lovers, which points to indecision (either from you, or from him) which can tip the reconciliation in the direction you want it in or not. If this is up to him, then he points to him being undecided right now.

But, with the 4 of Cups in the middle, this points to some level of dissatisfaction. You guys may be on good terms again, but it may not be quite what either of you were hoping for. the 4 of Cups has a bit of a beach ball being deflated energy. But, with the 6 of Pents clarifying it, I think that you'll get the closure you both need, which is healthy and ultimately will put you in a better place to reconcile in the future?
