All of my adult life, I have been interested in a particular career. I won't mention what it is, because part of the job involves the answer I need to hear from the right person. I have never mentioned this career to anyone. Not even family. My heart is in the right place.IP: Logged |

Philbird I cannot give you psychic advice. However, in reading what you wrote.. If you are mesmerized by a career, What is stopping you from pursuing it? I'm under the impression that you feel as if this will not be well recieved by your loved ones. Perhaps because it is unusual in some way? Your heart is in the right place. Listen to it.Love and light Rita ------------------ LibraRising CapSun AquaMoon IP: Logged |

Does your concern revolve around what most would consider the odds against you for success in that field? IP: Logged |

I know exactly where you are coming from, Phillbird. (If these people are so psychic, why haven't THEY called ME?) Follow your heart. Not all esoteric careers are flakey and you will do just fine. An angel near Sedona has the words you seek.IP: Logged |

Why not try to put my two cents in...If it has something do with psychic/holistic healing and/or owning a New Age center/ bookshop, go for it. -StarLover IP: Logged |

One of my dream jobs is to be a profesional tarot reader and psychic. I'm also interested in learning Reiki and other holistic techniques. I also want to teach it to people.-StarLover IP: Logged |

Okay, you are all on the right track! My true desire is to be a psychic detective. However, I lack the confidence and skill to do this job. Accuracy is very important! I feel a lot, and at times I have checked details out here on L.L. Not so accurate! I really, really want to help in this way! If you had asked me when I was 5, I probably could have done the job! I had abusive parents who I could read two or so weeks in advance from a beating, and of what kind. I knew what was going to happen to me day by day. Every morning, in my search of heat and knowledge, I would sit in front of the floor heater and "hear" what was to happen that day. I had to lie a lot so my foster family wouldn't be in trouble, and they did make me lie about my sister. They told me to tell made up stories, as if my sister was insane. I was always cold, even to this day! That's why I live in AZ. right now! I considered lying as a fight or flight instinct. I used to be very intuitive about people. I wish I could get a real sure sign this is for me, because it is no longer a natural talant. It's not like you can study somewhere and get a's and f's on tests, ya know? Considering my initial exposure to psychological knowing of the abusive kind, I thought I would really enjoy and be good at, a career such as this. My intuition about people is still pretty accurate, but details are not as they used to be. I thank you all! P.S. My sister was removed from the foster home! That was good, but not because they were abusive, because my dad didn't believe they were telling the truth! Bless you dad! I had to remain there, but I believe I was stronger then her. IP: Logged |

FishKitten (so cute!) About the angel in Sedona... can you be more specific? I'm kinda naive about angels. Should I go there? The only psychic person I know of does live near me. I've never had a reading, perhaps I should consult her. She doesn't live in Sedona, but she does live at a vortex site...IP: Logged |

Laglady, quite the contrary, my family would expect this of me. I am talking about my second family. The family I was raised in from ages 7 to now. They always knew I was different, all though I had no reason to practice on them. Or should I say no fear.

You don't need a psychic. You are the psychic. You understand how to hear. Simply listen. Things will come. The hardest part with visions is not having them...anyone can do that. The hard part is interpreting them. That takes a bit more practice. Perhaps when your accuracy has gone amiss, it is due to translation difficulties rather than information input difficulties. Don't bother planning a trip to Sedona. When the time is right, you will have a reason to go. Somewhere, either in Sedona or Jerome, in a small shop with rocks and crystals, you will meet someone who will tell you something. I don't know what that thing is, but you do, and when the "angel-for-the-moment" speaks, you will get such chills and deja vu, you will need to sit down. I say "angel-for-the-moment" because angels are messengers and when you meet this person, he or she will be doing the work of the angels...delivering a message to you that you have been waiting for all your life. I have no idea when this will happen. Since I don't really believe in time, I have a really hard time pin-pointing such things. It may happen in a week or it may be a decade. I just feel that your answer lies ahead in that direction. Just wait, listen, and trust your own inner voice. If an psychic comes to you or approaches you, there is certainly no harm in listening, but remember - You are all you need.IP: Logged |

Phil,Your story sounds so familar to me.I too have lived this life like yours, and I too had to rely on my sixth sence to survive it.It was natrual all my childhood and it was manipulated alot for self gain by my mother. However,I never lost it.I could write books on my experinces that would turn heads.Of course nobody would believe them, but I dont care about that. I too wanted to do what you want to do,but because I have four children and two jobs it's not likey anytime soon, and I accept that. Anyway, this was my impression of your furture work. I see you working with a partner (female) You will travel often ( south & north) You will learn to audiotape non-physical beings occupying homes(places) as well as visual tape.(Photograph) I see you doing this more then I see you investigating Crimes for police,or regualr citizens.YOUR specialty will be in identifying a presence in a place( a home, hotel,or woods,or store ect..)You will be able to provide proof to people who aquire your services and/or find other sources explaining events. YOUR partner...will infact be the "spirit clearer" having spent many years learning about that. Over time, you will both work together doing a "clearing" but in the begining you will do the more technical stuff like video/audio set up. YOUR so handy with Camera I am suprised Photagraphy wasn't your first choice at a proffesion! YOU will implement Photography & the metaphysical. IP: Logged |

Hmmm, I was just thinking about GhostBusters last night! (Really) I have a therapist who is a Native American Indian. She was taught many things about spirits by her grandmother. Our therapy sessions aren't really therapy anymore, we talk about being spiritual and she tells me many stories. She's a very strong person. We have talked about not seeing each other as client/patient, but continuing a freindship. We are soooo in sync with each other! I'll walk into her office and say, "Where's the yellow aura today?" I will often start topics that she had been recently been thinking about, private stuff. I can only see an aura on her. Sometimes we have duel quantum leaps in our topics, like were reading each other's minds. It doesn't feel like any effort, it just happens. Like a "twin." (using that term lightly) I did a lot of photography in school, but I do have to say, I'm way out of practice with darkroom technique! I have photographed a few "orbs." But I didn't know what they were until someone told me. Just was drawn to take pictures of the police station! It's very interesting what you have to say merratti, thank you very much, I will keep an open mind to everyone's suggestions! Oh, The part of AZ. I live in is dripping with ghost stories, it's part of the history! ! I guess sensing is my most pronounced quality. MaryIP: Logged |

Actually, I didn't know you hang around rock shops, but that cleared it all up for me when you said that. I think you will be in a rock shop and you will hear about something that you will already know. In other words, you will get confirmation that you have had a psychic experience regarding this type work. I'm not expressing this as well as I would like. Sometimes it can be hard to describe what I see. Anyway, you'll know right away when it happens. No worries about that.IP: Logged |

Philly, my Mars is in Pisces, so I get little glimmers now and then, especially when I pay attention. My glimmers feel very good about this, for you. You need to practice, to help reawaken your gift.Did you ever watch the Pet Psychic? I loved that lady...and I recall her saying that her gift was so natural when she was young; she never questioned it. She "unlearned" it from the pressure around her from those who didn't believe. When she was an adult, she re-learned it, reawakened it. This feels like a good fit for you, Philly. Listen well to FK, she knows of what she speaks. IP: Logged |

Well Trillian, there's some of that going on as well. I can read my pets, even when I was a kid. I had a dog, and both the dog and I were miserable in my house. She's only come to me, peed whenever someone else approached her! She had her puppies in my bed when I was sleeping. I also had a cat who had kittens in my dresser drawer. I still can read my own pets, but not really something I'd like to do for other people. Thank you, really!IP: Logged |

Hey folks, it's interesting you are picking up on things I have done in my life. I am a jack of all trades. I've had so many jobs! I would just move from job to job because I still haven't found a fit. Maybe it's supposed to be like that. It's like I can't settle because there is so much to learn. They aren't even related to each other. It's like I'm a sponge for experiences. IP: Logged |

Fishkitten, "I know exactly where you are coming from, Phillbird. (If these people are so psychic, why haven't THEY called ME?)" The psychic called ME the out of the blue! Yesterday! She just wanted to talk about a book I lent her. But I thought it was funny you made the comment!IP: Logged |

Hmm Philbird Do you think that there is really a long term need for a Psychic detective? I think self-emplyment would be a route since my guess is that police departments really don't have a budget for psychics like that TV show. Perhaps you can give intuitive advice to individuals as well. Do you think you would be good at counseling. Maybe a degree in that area would be a possibility.I'm not sure about the rock place in Sedona. I've been there and it's fairly commercialized. I'd suggest jumping onto www.astro.com and playing with the travel map. Click onto different areas of the US and see which place would be a good one to go on a retreat and do some reflection. Sedona and parts of the south are good for me and maybe you can find a place that works for you. IP: Logged |
