HI I had surgery recently to get a female tune-up so to speak so I have a better chance to conceive. When the doctor opened me up he found my left ovary and tube were dead and had to be removed. I need to have another surgery for that. Not on my top ten list if you know what I mean. He fixxed everything else and technically my right side can work and I could conceive. The doctor says if we take out the left side that doesn't work I can ovulate from my right side each month giving me a better chance. Can someone do a reading for me to see if just maybe I could concieve now instead of having to go through another surgery? Or will I even concieve at all because I sure don't want to volunteer for another surgery and nothing happen....My birth info is: 3-20-66 wisconsin rapids, wi Thanks if you can help, if not, it is fine, just thought I would ask!

Unless there is a cancer risk...the non functional ovary should not impede the ovulating of the functioning one. So unless the "dead" ovary is still productive hormonally....it matters not if you get rid of it. ------------------ It is not about waiting for storms to pass...it is about learning to dance in the rain! __________________________________________________________________________

I agree with Lexx. I think the doctor just wants to make money on the second surgery.------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz IP: Logged |

Thanks Randall. Try tracking your ovulation by taking your basal temperature each morning and checking your cervical mucus texture. It is really quite easy. Most can get by just doing the basal temperature. It helps to find out if you have too short a Luteal Phase. I did...which led to many lost pregnancies.

Way back in the day, my mom had one of her ovaries removed due to a baseball sized tumor. She was told she would never be able to conceive, but she proved them wrong by having four pregnancies and three children!!!IP: Logged |

Thanks! I am wondering if it still is producing hormones....I am on top of all things with conceiving and infertility, I am so hoping the surgery fixxed enough of the problems for the good side to work effictively. I thought I would check here to see if anyone had a vibe. Thanks! Kristin IP: Logged |

Hi Haybelly,I meditated upon your question.. first, you need to be very careful, for there could be a miscarriage..but, the end answer is, you will conceive a child..all you need to do is be careful, take care of you, all will be well! All my love, with all my heart To ALL. ... IP: Logged |

lotus- interesting you say that, I feel the same way about the situation. Thanks for the vibe! My intuition says not to go through with the next surgery, I think its all about the money anyway. I also worry about a miscarriage. I will let you all know what happens! KIP: Logged |
