Is my boyfriend a good match for me long-term? My boyfriend is like the best version of me, but he is extreme in everything which pushes me away sometimes.

He has:
Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Mars in Cancer, which I think is why he's so extreme. I have Cancer Ascendant. He always says that we are the same person and I laugh about it, but we are really alike. There is a rebellion on my part.

He has Libra Ascendant and my Venus/Pluto is conjunct his Ascendant in 12th house. I know my Venus/Pluto conjunction is not good for me, but how does that affect him being in his 12th house? Whenever I get into a r-ship, I tend to be overly-critical and fault-finding.. it's like I am breaking down the person I am attracted to, but I am really putting them through many tests to prove they are worthy... My boyfriend doesn't allow me to do this with him though. If I question his loyalty like ask about other women or become jealous in any way, he will dissect my whole thought process like why I feel that way at the moment and how to correct it.

He has Saturn and South Node conjunct his Libra Ascendant (my 4th house). Does this mean he tries to control me in the home life? He does talk about men being over women way too much. He says he sees me the same way I see my child. He has to take care of me and have authority. I don't like this, but he is so protective and caring that I am not threatened by it.

He follows Judaism orthodox. He says he is a Jew. He goes to a synagogue. He got a circumcision a few years ago. He is very religious. He is also very positive. I used to be very pessimistic and worry a lot (Sun in Virgo), but he has influenced how I handle things. He sings to me when he notices I am in a bad mood. I used to think he was very eccentric and radical because he has these futuristic ideas that initially sounded bizarre, but now they seem ideal to me even though they are not accepted my modern society. For ex./ he believes in communalism, where everyone lives together and shares everything. I had a problem committing to him because of this. I am a private person and don't want to share everything I've worked hard for, but I totally get it now. He talks about heaven and how it makes sense to be totally selfless and loving if we want to go to heaven. Another thing is, he believes a man should sew as many seeds as possible meaning he would want my permission to have a second wife. I broke up with him over this and told him to move to Idaho. We are back together and he says he will never ask me to do that because he knows I can't handle it, but because it is in the bible he believes in it.

So is this a match made in heaven or a disaster waiting to happen? We are both very compassionate and loving towards each other. We just mesh together really well but I am too often flighty with him which hurts him (my Sun Virgo in my 3rd house under Gemini influence).
