How do you clean your cards? Like say they've been left out or moved around or people have been handling/looking at them. How do YOU PERSONALLY go about restoring their energy?IP: Logged |

@GG; well I already have used them before and I know to do readings...it was mostly for my mom and friends. But yeah, my friend wants another reading so I dug them out. quote: to clean them I use sage
Burning it and fanning the smoke onto them, leaving them with it sitting around...? Any specific way? Thanks! IP: Logged |

I charge them by placing them outside (back yard) under the full moon, on a cloth. You could also place them on a window edge. For more frequent charging, I like placing them on top of my purple plate (the energy plates Linda Goodman discusses in Star Signs). I keep my deck inside a tarot card pouch, and wrap this up in a clean cloth. For clearing energy, I keep a small white quartz inside the pouch. I also never place the cards on the floor or messy surfaces. I like laying out the cards on the clean cloth used for wrapping them up. Passing sage or other cleansing incense over the deck is also good. I usually light incense to enjoy the cleansing scent and feel during readings, and just pass the cards through the smoke a few times. In the end, find a method that works well for you =) IP: Logged |

here are some other ways to clean a deck1.Knocking on Your Cards: Some readers believe that knocking three (3) times on their Tarot deck will remove the energy from the person they just read by "knocking" their energy off of their cards. To do this, after reading you will pull all of your cards back into one deck, hold them with one hand and then "KNOCK" on the full deck 3 times. 2.Clearing with Sage: Some readers will also burn sage smudges or sage incense while reading so that they may waft their Tarot deck through the Sage smoke. Burning Sage is an ancient custom and is used to clear negative energy, bad mojo, etc. To do, light your sage smude/incense and move your full deck through the sage smoke until you feel they are cleared. 3.Using Crystals to Clear Energy: Many readers will have crystals on their tables while reading. Crystal energy helps many readers to be "clear" with the messages they are passing on. You can also use crystals to cleanse your Tarot deck in between readings. Two of the most popular crystals to use to cleanse your deck are Clear Quartz and Flourite. Clear Quartz is a clear, see-through crystal that removes negative energy. Flourite comes in greens and blues, it also removes negative energy. To do, place your crystal on top of your Tarot deck, leaving on the deck until your next reading. 4.Cirlcing Deck with Sea Salt: Some readers like to circle their Tarot decks with sea salt to cleanse them. Sea salt is another form of a crystal. Sea salt removes negative energy. To do, place deck on clean surface. Sprinkle sea salt around your deck in a circle. http://www.tarotguild.com/profiles/blogs/cleansing-your-tarot-cards IP: Logged |

Okkkkaaaay! Thank you thank you! I'll definitely be trying these out (some later than others, as I might need to go out and buy some sea salt or hunks of quartz.) IP: Logged |

I simply count my cards and make sure they're all there. Then, I rearrange all of them by order. I also do the knocking thing, or slam them on a hard surface...IP: Logged |
