This is a gentleman I met over Christmas break. I really admire his intelligence and stability (plus, he's a Leo so come on!) I was just wondering if the attraction is strong astrologically, or not.

Vertex-Mars

His Neptune conjunct your DSC the relationship will be romantic and highly mystical but there can be decieving, lying, and cheating.

I wonder why people never post their synastries the other way around :/ dont they wanna know how they effect the person not how the person effects themselves?

His Mars in 8th conjuncts your Vertex -- sounds like a sexy aspect but Vertex is fate so I don't know what it means.

in synastry, the most effective when another person's natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Midheaven, Venus or Mars conjuncts your natal Vertex or anti-Vertex.

Neptune conj. DSC eh? Well, he was definitely on drugs during New Years. His twin brother was hitting on me too, and I actually have a lot in common with both of them however the brother has a crazy on-off girlfriend who was clearly apart of the picture. I was not trying to compete with that.

Here's the reverse chart:

Yes Neptune also rules drugs and manipulation.

Your Moon falls into his 7th so he will feel like you are someone he can rely on emotionally and feel secure and safe with you.

Your Mars falls into his 8th so you will inspire deep strong sexual urges in him and/or deeply annoy him and make him feel very uncomfortable around you.

When your planets falls into the 8th house you will highlight that aspect of their personality in the relationship.. 8th house is obsessions, finaces, sex, occult, transformation, secrets, ect.

Its also a good significator for great business partners

Your Chiron conjunct his 8th house.. hmm... do you feel as though your pain or his pain is opened up around you/him...

Your Sun,Venus, Mercury falls into his 6th so I think when you are sick he will want to take care of you and basciall
y be a service to you in general .

what kind of person are you? Do you feel the House persons energy and you react to it as well? because the planet person is usually the receptive one

Your Moon opposes his Mars so you will feel he can be too demanding, aggressive, or become too "clingy' to you.

Saturn oppos Sun does the relationship feel like a burden on you .. or a responsiblity?

His Pluto opposes your Sun so he might be obsessive or seemingly much controlling of you or try to dominate you. You might be unconscious afraid of him..

Sorry I suck I am just starting (2 years)

it doesn't matter who's on the outside or inside, you're comparing them both at the same time...

I actually prefer it to be the female on the inside male on the outside for relationship synastry. You can still see the overlay for your chart over his it just doesn't start at the *typical* ascendant spot..

I think so because the house overlays (well they effect me in synastry anyway)

Karka, you're okay. Be proud of what you do know!

LionFish - I didn't think it mattered but even after 12 years of reading and posting and asking, I still consider myself a novice!

He lives in another state. I am reserved around him because he is so intelligent and I tend to feel insecure about my own education and intelligence around those types. However, I think because there's such a significant age gap the relationship (in theory) would be easier.

I did think he was uncomfortable around me! Him nor his brother would really look at me when I first arrived to the get together. He didn't talk to me at all until New Years when he kissed me, and I was kind of surprised by that.

He has Venus in Scorpio I think, doesn't he? I don't know if he'd be obsessive. I thought people grow out of that near their mid-20's to 30's lol.

What kind of person am I... well, I'm loud and opinionated when I'm comfortable but around guys I'm talkative and flirty. Or try to be anyway. Unless I'm intimidated in which case I'm really reserved and poised. I probably come off stuffy and uptight in those instances.

His Saturn Opp your Venus - this might make the Saturn person indifferent over time. Saturn/Venus synastry aspects can be binding or relationship ending. The opposition isn't the best aspect between the two as both will feel slightly misunderstood and while they WANT to be together, it may never be.

Jupiter, the ruler of your DSC, trine his Moon. This seems like a kind of "luck" aspect to me. The two of you could paint the town. Good natured feelings, growth, abundance. These things will radiate from the two of you when you're together..
Uranus Opposite Jupiter: Could have an "erratic" effect. And seeing as how this is your DSC ruler, it could be that your relationship is on again-off again if you choose to date. This doesn't have to necessarily be a bad thing, just be aware of the possibility and if it's not something you'd want to deal with in a relationship, figure out if it's actually going to happen before you run away..

Pluto opp Merc: You two can TALK. About probably anything and not be uncomfortable. Trust between the two of you in conversation comes easy and you may find yourself wondering how you got to discussing your inner most thoughts and feelings with somebody you just met.. I love pluto-merc contacts

I'll be back later, it's still a little early to be doing chart reads lol

Happy Holidays to you hanna and KQ!!

it's just a matter of perception

Some people see it easier by switching them back and forth.. I did too at first. But then it became a matter of laziness and forcing myself to read charts without having to make 8 copies of the same one lol

I DO want to be with him! I do feel misunderstood too. For instance he randomly (there's that Uranus influence!) messaged me on Facebook concerning a status I wrote and told me how moving was the best thing he'd ever done. I found it so refreshing. The thing is I tend to want people to feel the same way I'm feeling, and I don't know if he finds me refreshing or interesting at all. Especially when he has a PH.D in Geochemistry, and I like doing make-up. You know?

WE DID. Haha, it was so much fun on New Years! We went out to a popular grungy bar in the city, and dinner, and then to the Flaming Lips concert. Whenever we communicate, I just have an overwhelming amount of respect and adoration for him. He's overcome a lot in the past two years, and he's family oriented.

The only thing I don't like about on/off relationships is not knowing when it's going to be "on" again. Lol, I suppose that is pretty normal though. I tend to like Libra moons (probably because of my Gemini ASC) and both of those placements can be wishy-washy if you look at that way.

Mmm... not so. Maybe it would be different if I saw him again, but I find it hard to bring myself to even comment on his updates or things. Like I said, the difference in education worries me. He's a Leo, and super educated and sure of himself. I would imagine he'd only want the best.

See I told you it was too early... I didn't even notice that Saturn was right there opposing your Merc as well lol

That's the hesitance you find in conversation with him. But if you can get past that and open up to him it could produce an almost transcendent experience because you had to "overcome" Saturn for it.

And yes, I know where you're coming from about wondering how he sees you. But look at it this way, he probably hangs out with stodgy uptight learned doctor types all day. A change in pace might be nice for him

I'll try. It kind of hurt my feelings he didn't respond back to my message after he initiated conversation but hey, maybe he feels the Saturn/Mercury too?

I did in the post where I told you to be proud of what you know. I just didn't quote them like LionFish's out of laziness.
