I am sure there's a thread on this somewhere; I haven't really looked, so I accept all rebukes. I just got my Lenormand cards after a billion years of drama, and I'm wondering if there is a good website you guys know of, or even just an easy spread, that will help me get this under my belt faster. Not that I expect to learn everything pronto. Quite the opposite actually. I'm just a tarot reader, and this is a really different ball game. Learning pairs instead of individual readings is going to take some time to adjust... so I'm looking for tips or an easy daily spread that I can practice to really fine tune, ya know? For instance, some woman on Youtube was talking about a mystery spread, where you put two cards down, and the third card is the overall theme. You do not ask a question; you just let the cards do what they do. So, I get the Rider and Stork as the two base cards... which based on what I can gather is that change is coming and will be positive. Or at least, it should be positive since both the Stork and Rider are facing the same way. Then, the theme card is the Man. Now, old bro is holding a letter, which to me, would signal MORE impending news... but everything says this card is just neutral. Nothing to it. Just a gender indicator. So, does this mean a man I know is going to get some strong news that might involve a job or a change in environment... or that maybe I'll get an offer that changes my whatnots and whoseits from a man? (And I used myself as the querent only to flesh out the example.) I also get thrown with the idea of "clouds." The Rider and Stork both have clouds... but they are supposedly conditional. Help? I realize that's a lot to ask for, so again, if you can just point me to a website... but these are pretty interesting, and I want to get this. IP: Logged |

Also starting to see where they have to be read in a specific order... left to right? Or the meanings change? For instance, Bouquet + Snake is jealousy, watch out for people who would take what you have... versus Snake + Bouquet meaning a issue that can be fixed, peace can be restored? IP: Logged |

Excellent!!! I just got my MFA in Creative Writing, so I'm all about some language and games I got the basic deck, though it's smaller than I was expecting. I am really drawn to the illustrations though. Some of them are absolutely beautiful. Seriously, an image of a bear shouldn't be so captivating. IP: Logged |
