Did my friend's boyfriend cheat on her?

(I titled the question in the chart wrong - they are not together anymore, it appears to us that he did in fact cheat on her, but this is not clear...)

He has a new love and they are all over each other. It is beyond sad.

So I am 1st house asking this question, she should be 7th house Venus significator and he should be Sun, which actually would be appropriate if he was Sun because he is a Leo and Leo rules sun.

Between Sun and Venus there is a conjunction separating by 8, so obviously something happened 8 weeks ago that caused the rupture? Is this when the new love interest came into his life?
