Fiancé & I have a Venus square Venus (both Venus in Cancer) & Venus square Mars (my Venus in libra his Mars in Leo)I am a little confused at our Venus/Mars aspect because I thought Libra & Leo were compatible signs...so why a square? Here are our other aspects (my planets first):
Sun (Libra) sextile Mars (Leo)
Sun (Libra) trine Saturn (Aquarius)
Moon (Leo) square Mercury (Taurus)
Mercury (Libra) sextile Mars (Leo)
Mercury (Libra) sextile Jupiter (Leo)
Mercury (Libra) trine Saturn (Aquarius)
Mercury (Libra) square Uranus (Capricorn)

My bad, Venus squared because my venus is in Libra and his is in Cancer.But the main question is why do we have a Venus square Mars? With my Venus in libra & his mars in Leo? IP: Logged |

It's about degrees and orbs.Signs don't really come into play with aspects. A square is a 90° aspect, regardless of signs! So if his Mars is in early Leo and your Venus is in late Libra, they would square by orb, but not by sign. That of course points to sexual attraction but can also indicate problems related to different styles of loving or bad timing, and sometimes there's too much tension which can manifest in quarrels and fights. The true indicators of relationship influences are in the aspects. It does not matter as much about the signs. But in saying this, there are loads and loads or relationships with poor aspects, that seem to survive in-spite of the indicators.True love is dictated by what lovers do for and with each other through out the years. Most do not need a book to tell them of that.
There may be an easier way to read and understand complicated Synastry pie chart aspects. Pie chart aspects can also be produced onto a basic Synastry Aspect Chart. Review the sample chart at your leisure. It may help you gain even more insight than you currently have.
