I know you don't like topics with calling to your attention but since you're the most practiced horary person here I didn't know who else to address.

Twirl gave me the idea to ask, since she has a thread in TTLG with a fun use of tarot, if horary could be used in the same way, mostly for practice. For example asking something simple like how do I look today? or what should I wear to such and such and event...or is it better to something like a weekly spread to see how your week will go?

Hmm.. I don't know what to say.. Horary has a nasty way of refusing to give you an answer if you're not in the right mindset when you ask your question.. so it might backfire. We can try this as an experiment, though I don't think a weekly question is indicated.. You should ask when you feel VERY strongly about it and accepting of all possible answers.

Hmmm....can it be an opened question like 'how do I approach a certain conversation?' Type of question. Or would I say, what would be the result of this conversation?

Both. Horary can be very detailed and descriptive, but it depends on the reader's ability to extract all that info from the chart. I sometimes am able, sometimes not. I have charts that simply don't tell me nothing and I'm looking at them as if they're a manuscript in Chinese. Has happened. Other times, info just flows in my head, lots of it.

Yes, I'm pretty sure a very intuitive and professional astrologer would be able to easily "divine" with horary charts that way .

Hmmm...ok. I have an idea of what I want to ask, once I get it all done I'll post the chart for practice. If you feel like guiding me that would be appreciated.

I've been studying horary intensively these past few months. It's amazing how many details one can extract from a horary chart. If you ask the wrong questions the chart almost tells you 'stop deluding yourself'!

You definitely need a well developed sense of humour if you are erecting a horary chart about daily issues (or how to approach x or y) and a high tolerance to pinches of salt!

Oh lordy me...Finally asked the question and the asc is at 0 degrees and 37 seconds, which clearly means it's too early to tell.

I will post the chart anyway, if it proves completely useless then I will take it down. This is about confronting my sister about her moral principles and the consequences of doing so, like what would happen once I did confront her.

It kinda makes sense to me as is...I don't know if you guys want to take a gander what the issue is from this chart but I will come back later and start adding what I see.

I can't remember who told me - but someone on the forum - you can also look in the chart for patterns like you would when reading any other chart - natal, composite, synastry, etc. Grand trine for example, just means things are going well, etc. Here you have a grand cross - which would suggest what it would normally suggest - that someone either you or your sister is being pulled in different directions - this can be a strength if balance if found but also could be the source of the discord.

I'd say without looking too much into the chart, since the ascendant is not fully formed and the presence of the cross, perhaps there is some stuff going on in your sister's life that you don't know about yet? Just a guess?

And even if the ascendant is too early, sometimes you can still see details of what is to come. Looks like there will be some sort of confrontation in 3 counts. But I'm reading your sister as 7th house, because its you and another person. You could also use the house of siblings, which I believe is 2nd or 3rd. Anyhow, have other stuff to get on to, so just my very brief two cents for the time being...

And, like everyone has mentioned thus far, horary is widely interpretable. I think its a great method - but it takes awhile to master. Good luck!

imeanj- I think we are both being pulled in many directions but I think it likely applies to her and I would say is the source of discord. I can't read her mind so I can't say I know what is going on but I've often found that she seems to go through similar tribulations years after I have gone through them. Where do you see the confrontation? and 3 counts meaning what? Days? weeks?

The way I'm seeing it is I'm Saturn and she's Jupiter (house of siblings). I find it funny that not only is she in the 7th house but there is a venus, mars, neptune t-square which to me pin points the issue of her, how shall I say this? ...... Dipping into my pool of leftovers. What I find interesting is that we're in a very far applying trine.

Ha! The issue is one of romance/flings, ruled by Venus, the apex of the t-square. I'm starting to like Horary lol.

OH! Is it mercury conjuct saturn in applying 3 degrees? That would make sense. With Uranus in the 3H I doubt it'll be easy going...I think I can see us throwing things... Definite issue of power and ego here, Pluto and Sun.

Considering the sextiles and trines from mercury, and Saturn (even though they are wide) I want to say, (I know I'm biased) that my intentions are good, and that I'm looking to be productive rather than go out for a fight. However she's heavily afflicted, will not take it well and will rebel, she's still attached to Venus even though it's leaving. She wants to remain idealistic and hopeful...

I may be too close to this to be reading the chart, I feel like I'm taking my knowledge of the situation and applying it to the chart. A poke in the right direction would be nice, no full blown reading is needed..

Ok so here's another one that I feel strongly about. I tried using the old school way of not having the outer planets, not sure if that was a good or bad idea...

Marly is a dog I used to have. So I'm ruled by Jupiter and she by Venus. There's 10 degree seperating trine between the two...I wonder if she's forgotten me. It's a long story...but I really would like to see her. Since sun is square Jupiter, I'm taking it that someone does not want me to see her. hmmm...not sure what else...

Moon is applying 4 degrees to Mercury, so I'll hear from someone then? (she has different oweners now that I contacted a couple of times)

She's also in the 12th House, being hidden from me...that bit kinda makes sense. Does all the water signs mean that this is a very emotional matter?

I'll have to come back to this, this is all I got for now...

A small update if anyone is interested. I decided that I would try to talk to my sister last night and pulled 3 cards asking what I should expect from our conversation

ace of wands- 5 of wands- 7 of swords

So not too well clearly. There was a lot of arguing but not too terrible. I think we both feel as if we didn't understand each other and now we're at this odd standstill. Does any of this show in the first chart?

Someone mentioned 3 units and yesterday made it 10 days after I posted this chart.

Thoughts?
