Last night, I had a dream that I was constantly fighting the same woman. For some reason, she wanted to fight over and over until she won. She was with her family- her mother and her sister. The first fight we had, I got the best of her. We agreed that it was over. She went her way and I went mine. Only she didn't. There was an iron plugged in the near by. She tried to burn me with it. Again, I got the best of her. Then, her sister wanted to fight and avenge her. I said I would give her a chance when I'd eaten. On the way back, I saw this beautiful viper in the street maybe 8 feet long. He wasn't trying to hurt anyone at the time, but he was in the street and had been run over by someone on a bike. People in cars were trying to run it over and I was trying to stop them. His tail was split open and had been run over again when I was there. I stood in traffic trying to get people to stop. The snake was wincing in pain and trying to come close to me. I know the teensiest nip from this species would kill me, so I basically danced around it. The viper was moving very fast and they don't normally move that fast, especially when they are big. The city was beautiful. I felt like I was in my home town, but it looks nothing like that. I never made it back to fight this crazy girl. It felt like she was trying to preserve an ego or some honor crap.

(I should note that I have a python, but when I dream of him, he's him-a python, not a viper. )

A tarot exchange is offered. Thanks in advance.

Hang on- I think your dream, least the first part has to do with how your sister thinks of you. Fighting for no reason and fueled by revenge. Could be also your way of dealing with the last time you met her (the food reference).

(I remember the reading I did for you, just trying to connect the dots here).

Not too sure about the viper. Snakes are beautiful creatures, I have always thought of them as a meaning of protection. The viper being run over- maybe a sign of being taken advantage of, or being a doormat?

Hmmm... This girl looked nothing like my sister. She had a family that wasn't familiar to me. Makes sense, tho! Seems there's more to interpret.

Wonder what the snake means. Seems so significant.
Being taken advantage of makes a bit of sense.

LP, I read somewhere many years ago that vipers in dreams are symbolic of our own vulnerabilities. IF what MM says resonates, taking into consideration the state of the viper, his incongruent behavior, and your need to take care of/protect him, perhaps the message is that of protecting your own very real vulnerabilities (i.e., the things you consider relevant to your here-and-now life) rather than continuing what I'm guessing (by context) you see as essentially petty nonsense with your sister?

There must be some connection to how the viper is dangerous to any person with nothing to protect them but the people in cars and on bikes are attacking it because they are protected.

You are wary of it biting you but you don't think it's right to attack something with excess force. The snake is clearly at a disadvantage and people are taking advantage of that opportunity to kill something potentially harmful.

It's like a preemptive strike.

The same is happening before with the fighting, the person lies to you and acts as if they will stop attacking you, then uses an object to continue the attack.

Using objects to gain advantage over an imagined adversary.

Hmmmm!!!! Not fighting fair!!!! This might be about the work thing. What's becoming obvious between all of your interpretations is the theme of being attacked. Vipers are unknown enemies. I asked my grandmother and that was her interpretation- I didn't get rid of my enemy. Also, the snake was on the sunny side if the street and then I got it to come to the shady side away from harm.
I think this had a lot to do with my sister. It's the same theme. Unfair advantage and not getting rid of the enemy. When we fell out, she moved right next door. My problem with the co-worker ended up with me leaving and not him because he held higher position.
I'm feeling like I have to help myself. I rarely have dreams where I know NO ONE. Being alone is another theme.

4 heads are better than 1 for sure!!!

I welcome any more interpretations!! I'm sure that's not all!! Please post your questions for my tarot.
