What are P.'s intentions by telling me these things? Is he trying to provoke me in some way or am I overthinking this?

No, P did not mean to provoke you, his intention was to be clear with you. He seems to be preoccupied and juggling with things and its his way of clearing his chest although he knows that this will lead to difficult times between you two. He sees it as something that has to be said.

My question, is P holding back on his feelings because of his health condition or because he just sees me as a friend?

I want to try and help but intentions are hard for me with Lennies. But maybe we can decipher it together?

I got moon + fish + lilly

First of all - all three cards are of a positive nature - so he's not doing it to provoke you, I believe his intention is actually to get closer to you.

To me it seems he's sharing some deep emotions/feelings he has, something he hasn't shared with many people (moon + fish).
And the purpose is intimacy (lilly) - for you to understand him better maybe?

The only other thing I could tell that maybe he's trying to show off a bit (moon) but again I'd say he's only trying to impress you.

Yes, it totally resonates. I know I'm probably one of the people he trusts the most with his personal stuff, so it didn't surprise me that he would share such things with me... Just in the context that it was in, it really got me wondering. Him taking the chance to show off a bit also makes sense, as it wouldn't be the first time that something like that has occurred. I'd say you were spot on with your interpretation!

I do see his health affecting his interpersonal relationships, it doesn't seem like he is very much motivated into work on the connections with other people at the moment.
