Topic: Why is everybody only asking for readings?

Been a long time since I logged in on this forum. The couple years I spent on it back when I was 18, there was a lot of movement, almost everybody was exchanging either tarot readings or natal chart readings, but there was a two way street.Now there are only people asking for readings! I get that there are times when you can only ask for things and do not have anything to give back, but what is it with only asking and expecting? What can you offer to the forum? I think some of them had a specific thing in their life that they needed insight on and once that happened for them or it was resolved, they didn't come back.Others needed practice or to fine tune their reading skills, so they could earn money doing it, so once they accomplished that they left. Some got busy with other things or got burned out when there were only a few people reading for the ones that didn't exchange, but then you'll see one from the past pop up for a short while. That's my thoughts and two cents.

I think it is because a lot of our valuable members left. I am personally still not over the departure of todd, soren, galactic and a few others. I believe I don't even see Hypatia and Ami Ann engage much anymore.You are right. People used to come here, learn and then offer their own takes. But these days you have to walk on eggshells when someone asks for some insight. People are less tolerant toward hearing the realities of others' experiences and takes. They can't even respect others when they disagree. Something else that I have found to be an absolute poison in both Astrology 2 and Interpersonal forums, is the gang mentality that some members (old or new) tend to develop. They like something someone writes, and when another member disagrees, they gang up together against that member and choose violence for no reason.
Some members also just lack the basic politeness, and think that because they can't be seen, they can address others in any manner they like. Of course this is bound to create unnecessary friction.
Issues like these caused some members to choose to leave, despite their knowledge and generosity with sharing their information. I guess at the end of the day this is life, and we need to accept things as they are. Still, I believe there is a lot of hope for LL. I personally refuse to give up on here  IP: Logged |

Yes springtime, I see your point and agree. Everyone has their own thing going ongirlwiththerain, thats what Im pointing to, at how it was before. I actually learned to do Tarot because of this forum, you would exchange with people and a lot of their feedbacks and insights were very helpful. It helped build tarot-character Didnt know about the “violence” part, but thats really disgraceful. We could all benefit from this forum and instead it turned out into something very different from what one would expect IP: Logged |

I think most of the people that ask for readings aren’t too well versed in giving readings themselves. Rather than offering to exchange and possibly give wrong information, I think they’re simply seeking answers and in this way learning at the same time.IP: Logged |

Ageed - the members that you used to be here were very active you could literally spend a whole day exchanging tarot and readings and giving feedback and with that; came a rapport of building friendship even if just on forum. This definitely used to be more fun and engaging forum. I wonder what happened to everyone...there is only ONE reader I talk to off here have on my socials in real life there are others I would have liked to keep in touch with. There were few we did email often but that subsided then stopped. I with there was a way to get LL fun and active again.IP: Logged |

We were bumped by Google to the second page for a long time, which is the death knell to a site (99 percent of searchers don't go past page 1), so I was about to advertise on Google, but then they just out-of-the-blue gave us a prominent position at the very top of their listings (before the listings even begin--so higher than number 1). So, things should pick up very soon. We get a lot of people searching for information and "lurkers," but I do want to attract more active members who post and interact.
