So many people around me ask for tarot readings. I've got people lined up waiting even who want me to give them readings. I've gotten
amazing feedback from everyone, and they've all been surprised and shocked at how accurate the readings turned out to be.
A friend even gave me 50 bucks after I gave him a reading and I was like "oh thanks :O "

So now I'm thinking I could actually maybe do something with this since currently, I'm unemployed, but... I have NO IDEA where to start.

How DOES one even make money with this? Where does one start online? I've no experience monetizing this so...

Any advice is appreciated!

Don't start on-line ... as visibility is the key to attracting clients that have a question currently on their minds.

Is there a public location where you could set up a table that would attract the attention of such potential clients as they pass by (whilst engaged upon whatever business they have at the venue itself)?

That will bring in the curious, asking questions which they do not mind others around hearing the answers to. ... But, if you give them a contact number at the end of an impressive reading, most will use it in the future to ask about more private matters. ... And, if you have a pile of pre-printed contact number cards on the table, observers who have not sought a reading on the day will pick them up to use later.

"If you build it, they will come."

Hey Lala,
I know several people who do this professionally. First of all, props for being such an excellent reader and already having clients waiting in line. My advice is close to what Graham said. Don’t start online but maybe get a Table at any local or regional psychic or spirituality fairs. Also look for any spirituality stores that sell divination stuff and ask if they have an on-site reader. The people interested and curious in that sort of thing will show up to those places and show interest.

BTW, I’d be very interested in a reading from you if you’re willing. Do you barter at all? My thing is astrology - can look at compatibility (synastry) solar returns etc. but can also do readings using lenormands. Let me know if you’d be interested.

Here's what I did.

Word of mouth:
Give free readings to friends and family. They will tell others. Make up some business cards to give out when you are socializing. Have a gimmick, mine is "for every 3 paid readings I get that are referred by you, you get a free one."
That worked out well because I got to read for a whole family, engineered by one daughter. Some of those people I still read for.

Online presence:
Create a youtube channel, so people can visually see how you read. People are funny, some want reversals, others hate them etc. They need to see and feel your energy and style. You could get very popular, so beware. Or be prepared. Having a gimmick will make you stand out. Be creative.

If you dont feel comfortable on YT, there are other ways. Exposure is key. Try making an Instagram account that showcases your talents. Give inspiring messages with your photos. Again, being 'different ' in some way, will always be advantageous. There are thousands of Insta accounts with photos of lovely crystals and tarot cards, but maybe you can bring something different to the table.

Do you have a local flea market? I have set up there before. Ours costs 5 dollars for a space between 2 drive in movie speakers. Plenty of room for a table and chairs. Make your space lovely and inviting. Make eye contact and smile, people will come.

These are just the tip of the iceberg, there's obviously tons of layers to making a business plan. Flow with what works best for you. I know an old member from this very website who makes a complete living from working for a popular 'phone a reader/psychic' type place. She does extremely well and can/does travel anywhere she wants as long as she has a phone and internet service. So, consider what works best for you and your lifestyle.

I pulled back from my channel and my pursuit of this work. I still have a core set of clients. For me personally this work is very draining. As an empath I took on the problems and concerning situations of my clients and it was overwhelming.

Wishing you the best of luck!

Hello all,

Thank you very much for the great advices. I've currently not much of a social media presence but I really should change that I'm sure..
And yes one of my concerns is the fatigue. This kind of work though seemingly simple on the outside is so energetically taxing usually. Working outside all day building a house almost runs a close second to how tiring it can be just.

And @tgem of course I could and would be happy to. How would you like me to contact you?
