Topic: Can an astrology reading determine career?

I was wondering if an astrology reading would be the route to take to determine what one is meant to pursue career wise? I’m at this point in my life where I still don’t know exactly what I want to do or what I’d be interested in. I get burned out very quickly from the jobs I’ve had and I’m in my mid-30s. It’s starting to affect my mental health because I’m just not happy with where my life is at right now (a job that’s burning me out, a kid who has their own “schedule” who’s also testing my patience, a crappy living situation). When I was younger, I didn’t imagine I’d be where I am at in life right now and feel like a total failure. Yes I believe astrology can. The houses regarding career in astrology are usually the 10th house which is ruled by Saturn/Capricorn- This house and its sign illustrates how you appear in the public, your professional sector, and your reputation. The 6th house which is ruled by Mercury/Virgo- This House Rules work and routine. The 2nd house is last and that is the house of your income/values ruled by Venus. It also indicates where we hold our self-esteem. These are all considered money houses in astrology so I would pay attention to what signs rule those houses and what planets are aspecting them. It should be able to give you some insight on career what you may be strong in and where some of your talents lie. For example somebody with Virgo ruling the 6 house and a 10th house scorpio, might be a good investigator or a detective. Add Pluto in the 6th and Mercury in the 10th and this could indicate someone who works in psychology. They could also be a doctor. Hope that's helps a bit. I wouldn't worry too much you're still young. Check to see where your Saturn is- sometimes he can cause delays in whatever area of our chart he is aspecting but is not forever.. Your Saturn return which usually happens every 28 to 29 years can usually give you a rebirth regarding where we think we should be discipline wise.

With Sun in the second house, and Venus ruling your 10th house, it seems to me that you may have a talent in manual craft, house decoration and design, trade... you may have also writing and communication skills that need to be developed. IP: Logged |

Thanks, Stoika! I don’t really do much of any of those and not really sure what trade is. I just feel like I’m stuck and don’t know what to do. I don’t find anything fulfilling. IP: Logged |

Trade, I meant selling stuff, or starting a store of some kind. what do you feel or ever felt drawn to? maybe based on this indication is easier to understand your potential path on this matter... I think your career skills are mainly influenced by Venus and Mercury. so mainly manual works, or finance and real estate, but also art/design, for Venus, and communication, media, reporting, writing for Mercury. Mercury may also give the feeling you need to have a routine job somehow, employment and mainly public services. Your Mercury is challenged, however it seems giving an healing path. I also had a feeling you may potentially have something to do with children.

By the way, I think the reason you feel stuck in this is because your Chiron is in 10th house. It is in gemini and square to your mercury in 1st house. so you can't recognize yourself (Virgo Sun and Mercury in your 1st house) into a career or job role (Gemini 10th house)... also your Saturn is in the 3rd house (the house of mercury)... I think that this suggests that to find at ease with job it likely is something to do with communication or that you need to develope self-confidence and familiarity with the communication area.IP: Logged |
