I've been struggling with depression for about 5 years. I wonder if a deeper understanding of my chart will help me find a way to improve? I've been trying to release the repression like some suggest but guess I'm doing it wrong.. Also I'm 32 and still don't have a career. My resume has unrelated jobs with many gaps. Any insights are appreciated. Thanks IP: Logged |

Hi LittleFish, I'm not very experienced but maybe I can help you a bit further in your quest for understanding. Usually mental illness in the birth chart can be indicated by an afflicted Moon. The Moon represents our emotions, our childhood nurturing and what we need to feel secure. Your Moon has a very tight square with Uranus, the planet of unexpected events, chaos and revolution. There is also a wider square with your Saturn and Neptune conjunction. Saturn in aspect to Moon is often associated depression. Saturn in hard contact to the Moon makes it very difficult to feel satisfied about something, Saturn is our inner strict teacher that tells us we're not good enough and need to do better and the Moon is a very sensitive spot. I noticed your Chiron in H12. H12 stands for different things such as the subconscious, sacrifices and escapism. But also our mental health. Chiron represents the wound that never heals but that we have to learn to accept and love as part of us. Chiron also squares your Moon. Could Chiron here represent wounds in relation to your mental health? If we take Chiron into account, you have a t-square with apex Moon square Chiron opposite Uranus. These are energies you have to learn how to master. Clues about how to master it can be found in the house opposite to the apex planet. In this case that would be H9, the house of the higher mind, education and philosophy. Sometimes it also helps to look at the Sabian symbol exactly opposite the apex planet, in your case Aries 5: PHASE 5 (ARIES 5°): A TRIANGLE WITH WINGS. KEYNOTE: The capacity for self-transcending. This points to finding a higher purpose to devote yourself to. This resonates nicely with the theme of H9, which in your chart is cusped by Pisces the sign of empathy and selflesness. Jupiter, the traditional ruler of your H9 is located in H11, the house of large organisations and social consciousness. It is also conjunct Mars, the ruler of your Aries MC. This could point to finding your higher purpose in your career or service to society related to physical activity, sports or other Mars related things. Does this resonate with you in any way? That uranus moon square grabbed my attention too.I'm looking at your chart going "this looks familiar" you can't be much more than a day older than my little sister. Her moon is at 22° libra. She gets anxiety but other than that no. Your moon is certainly the culprit. At least the ring leader. I have a very afflicted moon as well and I have several mental disorders. I am bipolar too as well as schizophrenic. I have dissociative identity disorder too but that is created through early childhood trauma and the psyche develops in an unusual way that develops into DID in early adulthood. (My user name is of both my names.) My ID is Nicole though. Veronica is the driving force though. She is represented by my Moon.
You also have your moon square chiron. My Moon is also in hard aspect to both uranus & chiron. You have a similar pattern to mine since your moon is in the 3rd (mine is in gemini) and an air house. My chiron/moon conjunction is in the 12th house and you have your chiron in the 12th. My anus is also in the 6th house but in Sagittarius. Uranus is in Capricorn so it probably expresses itself in a saturian way. Hard moon/saturn aspects can create emotional & mental distress. My Moon opposes my saturn as well. I have my ascendant in cancer like you do so both of our charts are ruled by our moon. It is interesting to see this. I find that tracking the moon helps me greatly. Honestly astrology has helped me with my illnesses more than anything. ------------------ 《 《 《 I AM 》 》 》 http://imgur.com/a/LTu1xEz IP: Logged |

I also want to add mercury here too. I find an afflicted mercury can have an impact too. IP: Logged |

This should make you feel a little better. I am 34 skyrocketing towards 35 and have no career. I have to live in the present or I would go crazy. I have no stable source of income. Most things I have been doing the past year are cash jobs. I just have to keep reminding myself that I am still keeping myself above water. To just sit back and let things unfold as they will. Worry is a blockage to what we want. We find answers when we are in a more relaxed natural state. You know how it goes. It isn't until we are in a state of surrender, no longer searching restlessly, that we are able to find what it is we want and need. I have a very hard time doing this myself but it works everytime. ------------------ 《 《 《 I AM 》 》 》 http://imgur.com/a/LTu1xEz IP: Logged |

Thank you very much. It helps alot. Low self-esteem and self confidence has been the issue as long as I could remember and that combined with burnout is mostly the reasons I quit my jobs. Thanks for the insights about Chiron and T-square. I am new to Astrology and I am learning more about them. Most of my previous jobs are in science and finance related and I always got burnout or felt I am not good enough for the jobs after 2 or 3 years. Again, thank you very much. quote: Originally posted by PlutoWasHere: Hi LittleFish, I'm not very experienced but maybe I can help you a bit further in your quest for understanding. Thanks for sharing. Even with depression, I've been really struggling and I can't imagine how strong you've been fighting those. I'm new to Astrology and now all I do is keeping track of the transits to be careful about possible triggers. But I have to admit, lately I feel the only thing I want to know is when I can leave this world to escape .. Does tracking the Moon mean looking at the lunar return? I'm also learning about progression. Living at the Present is something I've been trying to do but it's so hard when I don't even know what I'm living for... Sorry...
