Being mermaid-like symbolizes your conscious self (upper part human) and your unconscious self (tail=water=unconscious). More specifically, the lower body/mermaid tail indicates unconscious material which has yet to become conscious - therefore the tail symbolically IS FUTURE MATERIAL, just like you said.

Flying in this manner, to me, suggests an elevated perspective, a more spiritual consciousness, an expansion of consciousness. In some cases it can symbolize the union of matter and spirit, which actually works quite well with mermaid symbology, as a mermaid can be seen as a union of spirit and matter as well.

Taken together, flying as a mermaid suggests, to me, the raising of your spiritual awareness which will lead to the future incorporation of some important unconscious material.

The restaurant scene - it is suggested that even though you have the same circle of friends, you feel somewhat separated from them (in your own world). You seem to be preoccupied with thoughts "of a different colour". Now, about these dwarf figurines - what kind of dwarves? What did they look like? Were they elves or knomes or something? Why did you have to pick the 7 correct ones? Correct for what?

In a very general sense, the figurines could symbolize unconscious energies, and the number 7 (again! just as in the other dream) is a number indicating the ending of a cycle just before a new beginning, as ell as a number of spirit. If this is so, then we have a repetition of the unconscious/spirit symbology, and the cycle symbology from your several previous dreams.
