Topic: Astral Projection or just a dream?

I had a wierd experience about a week ago and Ive had similar experiences like it. I was sleeping (although I didnt realize it at the time) but in this experience I was talking to my friend in England...and it felt so real! When I woke up, I couldnt believe I was sleeping. I was like...wait a minute, I was sleeping...but I was just talking to Paul!I also remember right after my grandmother died she came to me in a dream, although again it didnt feel like a dream, it was just too real. Now Im reading the book "Dear Echo" by Echo Bodine where she awnsers letters people have written to her. She says usually when people dream of passed on relatives and it seems so real...its not really a dream at all. Its really your soul leaving your body and visiting the passed on relative. So with that information...could it be that my soul traveled out of my body while I was sleeping and went and talked to my friends soul? I have had lucid dreams before...but nothing like this experience. So I dont believe it was just a lucid dream. IP: Logged |

Welcome, miss apples  Where in MN is white bear lake? What county? You could be right about your "dream", it is difficult to say. There is no doubt that this can and does happen but I couldn't say that it did or did not, so you'll have to determine that yourself. That "too real" feeling is a good indicator though. Dear Miss apples, Even I never never had a dream where I felt the breadh of a person on my neck, until 2 weeks ago. It was really strong presence and I was madly in love with this lover, who is still alive but I haven't met for 4 years. Now who can explain that  IP: Logged |

sounds a lot like my experience IAT! I definatly think its astral projection and not a dream. Dreaming and Lucid dreaming just doesnt fit the bill!IP: Logged |

I wrote about this quite a few months ago, but the people here just thought I was crazy.I was pondering, all my life I have had "dreams" where I would have "visitors". They were always friends and family, mostly family, and never threatening or so. I always knew I was in bed, and they would talk to me standing in my doorway, you know, like if you just happened to be passing by. I also always talked in my sleep, much to my husbands annoyance (long conversations lol). If he would awaken me, I would think to myself, oh...ok, go back to sleep. I think everyone thought I was crazy because I wrote that I always wear long pyjamas, wouldn't want to be visited with my bare butt hanging out of the blankets! lol Funily enough, the dreams have stopped, and I haven't had one in about 5 years, although they were at least weekly all my life up until then. Hi Nackie!I dont think youre crazy at all. Most likely you are probably still having visitors just and just not conscious enough during the visits to know whats going on. If these "dreams" are astral projection, I have read that we experience astral projection everynight and do not notice it. So your family and friends' souls are leaving their bodies and visiting you and they dont even realize it! IP: Logged |

I've experienced similar dreams before. For the first time, starting this year I've experienced Lucid dreaming many times. A few months ago I think there was some type of astral projection occuring during my Lucid state. I posted about it a while back in the astrology forum. It was strange. I had been having strong dreams about a certain person I was interested in. He actaully appeared to me in many dreams before we got to know eachother. I was in a definate lucid state when it happened because I knew I was dreaming, and I was viewing everything in my room as if my eyes were open. Then all of a sudden there was a body next to me and it was him. I could actually feel his heartbeat and hear him breath! It was bizzare. In my waking life I feel a strong affinity with this person and a strong desire for closeness with him. It's definately some type of psychic linkage between 2 people that causes astral projection. Do you share an unspoken affinity or psychic bond with Paul? IP: Logged |

Yes Scorpbaby, I have a very close soul conection with Paul. Before I met him, one of my spirit guides told me that I was going to meet him and that we would have a soul connection. My best friend and I go to our favorite metaphysical store for a psychic reading about once a year and I have had psychics tell me that he has been an important person to me in all of my lifetimes. So its only natural that our souls would be able to communicate to eachother.IP: Logged |
