i have recurring dream themes (several, but one will suffice here firstly)
the theme i have mostly is modes of transport. When 'I'm in a bus with other people' dream there is often a comedian present. different ones on different nights. If it's a bad dream the comedian will give a running commentary and heckle on the loudspeaker. If it's an ok or good dream, the guest comedian will just ride with me like a passenger, sometimes i drive, but in a bad dream a bad guy is ususally driving.
What's with the comedians in my dreams, am i too scared to take things seriously in my life?

Welcome raihs

How often does this theme occur? When was the last time?

I think the comedians represent the way in which you relate to the world. They represent different aspects of the outer you and how you are dealing with the world, and therefore also reflect an image of the inner you ... you said 'scared'? Well, at least not the comedian that everyone else sees.

What do you think?

Thanx for the quick reply and the welcome, Ra, good to be here.
I would say currently once a week I'm in a bus or driving a car or a motorbike.
comedians only seem to be in the bus dreams. bus dreams i have maybe once a fortnight when i'm having a run of them. (they have their off season it seems)
Scared may not be the operative word i'm looking for, I've had huge trust issues in the last 3 years and can be quite defensive.
I don't think i'm scared of anything really except when i have monsters in my dreams but that's another subject. I dont have monsters in my dream vehicles. They are in on foot chase sequences and they seem to have off and on seasons too, lately theyre on.

Hello raihs

The comedians are on the bus because a bus represents the public, society, and how you interact externally with it.

The other modes of travel point to more personal, internal issues (depending upon the context), and the monsters generally symbolize stress/anxiety.

Make sense?

Ra thank you, you've put a peice to my puzzle. That's why the comedians. I'm not scared, i just dont show 'me' as i am in the real world. Different transport for different things, yes, i'll agree there too. Boat dreams, i'm on water and the kids are with me.
thanx for your time and thought Ra.

Boat dreams - depends on circumstances ... condition of water (smooth, wavy), kind of boat, happenings on board, etc.

I'm very glad to have provided something. You are quite welcome.
