A man I know in real life, A., was on the boat. Another man who I don't know in real life was trying to manipulate me into buying his album and was maybe coming on to me, giving me a hard sell.

A. came to interrupt to get the guy to leave me alone. He (A.) put his head on my shoulder. He was wearing a black hoodie, and then it turned into thick black hair/fur all over his body, like the thick, shiny black hair on his head. He puts his arms around me.

It looks to me as if some event/situation/cycle in your life will soon be coming to an end. Because this is a boat trip, and therefore having to do with water, it could be suggested that you are dealing with unconscious material of some kind, perhaps showing in your life through emotional energies. The ice melting ("thawing" emotions) could also indicate this.

Being recorded could suggest that whatever is happening is of some importance, and/or that you need to pay close attention. Perhaps special attention is needed so that you do not get "manipulated", especially since there may be emotional fog surrounding the issue.

In the dream, your friend A is the knight in shining armour. But why does he turn so hairy/furry? I'm not sure. How did you feel about, or react to this in the dream? What does this friend mean to you in waking life?

I was just writing in my journal that I feel anxious in the way I often felt as a young teenager...like I'm trying to lasso bulls and I have a rope with a loop in it, but no skills.

I am very attracted to A. in real life, and I have wanted to develop a closer friendship, but he seems distant or has mixed signals. This is the second dream I've had where he's wearing a hood. In the first dream (about a year ago) I caressed his ears over the hood, and in this dream his hoodie turned into hair/fur. In the dream I was happy to be touching and holding him, and didn't feel bothered either way that he got furry...it just seemed natural, and like not a big deal.
