I dreamt that my friend (who I'm not seeing these days, we've kind of drifted) came over and brought me the gift of a lot of beautiful, lit lanterns and put them in the upper right hand corner of my room. He also lit a beautiful fire that wasn't dangerous.

What does this dream mean?

I would say it means that whenever you feel lost and alone, look to the light of your heart and it will guide you through your trying times. That is what first came into my mind when I read your dream.
Right is traditionally known as the good side, path.

Thanks, fieryscales. I thought the dream was probably about my relationship with my friend, since he brought me the lanterns as a gift, but I didn't know exactly what it meant about that relationship.

The lanterns definitely seem like a beautiful symbol.

Hi Ra! It's funny to come here and see that you asked that! This friend has just come back into my life and we're getting close again, the way we were when we first met, and I think we both have romantic feelings, or at least I think I do? He is letting me know how much he cares about me and wants to be in my life. The buoyant feeling with the lanterns is between us.
