Topic: Dream of resetting a home phone

Hey guysI had an interesting dream last night. It was a long dream; it continued even after I woke up for a couple seconds and I don't think I can describe it or remember it all, so I'll make it short. In my dream, I was with an ex-lover and we were together in this bedroom. We were just doing "stuff" and then he suddenly disappeared. Then the home phone sitting on top of his drawer started ringing and I realized it was his mom. I called him and he reappeared. Then he took the phone from me and answered it. But then instead of his mother talking to him, the phone went crazy and all these numbers started appearing on the screen, switching over and over. We panicked and put it down to see if it would stop, but it didn't. So then I suggested to reset it and he agreed. When we did, the phone was back to normal and I woke up a couple minutes after that. I'm not sure about it, but I think the phone was some sort of message. It stood out to me the most. Any thoughts? Thanks. ------------------

Please read it as an opinion:
A mother in a dream can mean a nurturing aspect. A phone is a symbol of a connection in a dream.
This dream indicates that a restart (=reset) of the nurturing aspect (=mom) normalizes relations (=telephone) with somebody (=relationship).

Chaos can often lead to order.
Back to square one.It looks like there are difficulties in understanding, that extend to communication, but instead of attempting to unscramble the signal, one chooses to long for going back in time, to the start. This is of course not possible. I would be cautious you are not trying to avoid dealing with any communication/understanding difficulties. The connection here: mother of your boyfriend, is not likely to go away. So, I think it represents a connection that you cannot really avoid for the foreseeable future (whether it pertains to actual boyfriend/mother or not - it's manifestation in the dream is symbolic).

@GeminiKaratThat makes sense, but at this point, I'm not sure I know which relationship I should be restarting. Thanks tho @Voix_de_la_Mer I think I'm the one who chooses to go back in time and restart. Even in the dream, I'm the one who suggested it. I've been feeling like I wanna go back in time and just re-meet him for the first time again. Thanks for the insight. @Ra Mixed signals, yes. Mixed feelings, yes as well. I wished him a happy birthday a couple weeks ago and expected nothing more than a thank you, but then he seemed like he wanted to talk. When we started talking, he gradually just started acting like he wanted to avoid me. I thought maybe it's because he has a new girlfriend now. Also, sometimes I feel like I like him, sometimes I'm just.. nah.
