Yes, you are being lied to and with the full knowledge and complicity of the American Press and broadcast media.

Mock battles are being staged and filmed then edited and shown on American TV and the still photos printed in our newspapers to produce a propaganda piece for the Palestinians and I have no doubt, now for Hezbollah.

If you don't believe it, then click this link, read the short piece and then, click "watch video".

The process is called Pallywood..no doubt a play on Hollywood and it's just as staged and faked.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Are you f'ing kidding me?!?!?!?!

quote:
So far this morning I've read that theory in a couple of places. There are also questions as to why there were no men killed in the Qana building. And the lack of concrete dust and lack of blood on the victims they were dragging out of collapsed building. Sunday when it initially happened I first heard that the reason the victims were still in Qana was because the IAF had bombed all the roads out, but then the rescuers and journalists had no problem getting in to Qana. (???) There're a lot of questions.

Hey do you think that the lefties that LOVE conspiracies will actually believe in these truths?

Probably not because they must believe that all Muslims are peaceful and all westerners are killers.

Great link jwhop

------------------
The democratic world believes that it is not the terrorists that are to blame, but us. Us, the westerners.
WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the sooner you eliminate this misconception from your minds, the better.
We are NOT to blame. It is the freaking terrorists and the freaking terrorists only!!!! They are the bad guys. They do not understand concepts like peace, democracy, and respect for human life. They are, pure and simPle, EVIL!!!!! Behind all their political manipulations, if you carefully look at the actions of these MONSTERS, they are EVIL!!

This appears to be an extension of the staging which went on inside Iran...during the period Iran was holding US embassy personnel in the late 1970's.

Suddenly, a mob would appear on camera, shake their fists in the air, chant death to the Great Satan and set American flags on fire. This went on for months. At the time I asked myself...where in the hell did those Iranians get those thousands of American flags to burn?

It finally dawned on me the news film crews were trolling through Iranians to find a crew who would stage their mock outrage and burn the American flags the networks provided for them.

In somewhat the same vein, the recent incident of the IDF bombing a building in the village of Qana has come into question.

It seems the building was struck between midnight and 1am but didn't collapse until about 8am the next morning.

Which presents a puzzle and raises some issues about what really happened there. Main question, why were all those civilians still in a building which Israel bombed 8 hours or so...before it collapsed and killed them...if that wasn't a staged event or partly staged event as well.

There are some pictures associated with this story but I'm not going to post them. You'll find them on the page I linked.

Mysterious Gap

Qana village: Why did building collapse hours after being struck?

IDF: Qana building fell hours after strike

(VIDEO) IDF continuing to check difficult incident at Qana village, and attempting to account for strange gap between time of the strike on the building – midnight – and eight in the morning, when the building collapsed

VIDEO - An IDF investigation has found that the building in Qana struck by the Air Force fell around eight hours after being hit by the IDF.

"The attack on the structure in the Qana village took place between midnight and one in the morning. The gap between the timing of the collapse of the building and the time of the strike on it is unclear," Brigadier General Amir Eshel, Head of the Air Force Headquarters told journalists at the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv, following the incidents at Qana.

Eshel and the head of the IDF's Operational Branch, Major General Gadi Eisnkot said the structure was not being attacked when it collapsed, at around 8:00 in the morning.

The IDF believes that Hizbullah explosives in the building were behind the explosion that caused the collapse.

Another possibility is that the rickety building remained standing for a few hours, but eventually collapsed. "It could be that inside the building, things that could eventually cause an explosion were being housed, things that we could not blow up in the attack, and maybe remained there, Brigadier General Eshel said.

"I'm saying this very carefully, because at this time I don't have a clue as to what the explanation could be for this gap," he added.

Meanwhile in Lebanon it is being reported that the number of those killed in the collapse of the structure climbed to 60.

All targets struck accurately

Eshel said that an additional attack took place at 7:30 in the morning, but added that other buildings were targeted. "This was an attack on three buildings 460 meters away from the structure we are talking about. Four bombs were dropped and all of them are documented by the planes' cameras. They all struck their targets. In addition, we carried out a filming sortie that photographed the village during the afternoon showing that the three targeted buildings we struck. We have verification of strikes on the building and that the bombs reached their targets," Eshel said.

"An attack that took place at two in the morning struck two targets, both of them 400 meters away from the building (that collapsed). They were also destroyed. The attack between 12 and 1 a.m. struck the area of the affected house, and there were accurate strikes on the target. We are asking the question – what happened between 1 in the morning and 8 in the morning… we understand this building was attacked between 12 and 1 in the morning, seven hours before it was seriously damaged," he said.

Brigadier General Eshel explained that "since the start of fighting in Lebanon 150 rockets from a very high number of rocket launchers have been fired from the village and its surrounding areas, at a number of sites in the State of Israel. Within the village itself we have located a diverse range of activities connected to firing of rockets, beginning from forces commanding this operation – because such an operation needs ongoing command to direct it – and logistical sites that serve this end."

"From this village rockets are fired almost every day across Israel. The operation carried out overnight is an extension of operations that didn't start last night but before, and during this night we struck a number of targets in the village. All of the targets are being meticulously sifted," Eshel added.

I don't know what was funnier... the corpse that fell off the stretcher, got up, dusted himself off and then resumed his prone position so the procession could continue.

OR

When they had the so called injured man, called (with a whistle) the ambulance.. ran him over to it and then proceeded to smack his head into the back door LMAO.

Ok I just watched the video right now.

To start, the narrator has an obvious bias…just the tone of his voice and the type of questions he asks speaks volumes. (the narrator also has a slight Israeli accent)

Fitting that they start and end with 60 minutes reporting (and NYtimes at the end). Everyone makes mistakes. Some reporters and news machines make more frequent and far worse ethical and moral judgments...like frontpagemag and newsmax. Should everyone be getting the news from there?

He makes people question things that are quite obvious to the viewer. A picture is worth a thousand words...the narrator is trying to instill the most negative ones about the Palestinians.

Oh the other hand, his questions and words don't do justice to the clips because we are not there and do not see everything happening around them, and what exactly the Palestinians or Israelis are doing. The reporters at the scenes do have more knowledge of what is going on because they are there. Most reporters around the world who report from here speak of the same thing happening in Palestine...are they all lying?

The first footage doesn’t prove anything. And he is only speculating. Does anyone know what he was hit with? The narrator sure didn't. Maybe we cant' see blood because the camera was not focused enough. And if there wasnt blood, are there not things that can be shot at people without causing bleeding?

In the second footage, it looks like they were training and enacting a scene in preparation for an actual attack. Now if it became news...what was the news about?

The third footage. Very difficult to see. The assumption is that this man is supposed to be dead. Maybe he was injured? And if it was staged, how do we know they are Palestinian?

Do you realize that sometimes people play dead in order to save their lives?

The Israeli soldier at the end saying they will get food: promising food is one thing, and delivering is another.

I’m not saying that there isn't the possibility some Palestinians exaggerate. But the intention here is to make light of the situation in Palestinian-Israeli..in this case the Palestinian’s conflict. Imagine how much the media hasnt caught on film!

Why is there an audience? Most appear to be young men. Why are they fighting? Just for fun?

Why aren’t some of them afraid of Israeli guns when they try to rescue a fellow Palestinian? Well how are they throwing rocks and stones at them to begin with?

It’s obvious the Israelis in these particular and well chosen clips aren’t directly shooting at Palestinians. It appears they are trying to scare the Palestinians that are throwing rocks. Some Palestinians get hit by Israelis though, whether the direct shots were intentional or not.

If there is blood coming from someone’s head, there is obviously an injury to their head. This does not mean they cannot run though. Palestinians are concerned about each other. When one person is injured they will obviously all gather to carry the injured, call the attention of the paramedics and get him treated. They won’t leave him standing alone in pain or to possibly die.

So what about the footage taken by non-Palestinians that we get on the news here? Is that also a production of “Pallywood”

To end, how do we know the footage wasn’t pieced together to make it appear like Palestinians were lying. Also just because some may lie or exaggerate, does not negate the reality of people suffering in this conflict.

This all sounds like a lot of rightist BS to me. Sounds like the neo-conservatives are starting their own conspiracy theories.

Just doing an imitation of Pidaua and Jwhop there.

There is no such thing as a liberal media any longer. There is no such thing as a media any longer that isn't owned and controlled by corporations and all we hear in the media is what Bush wants us to hear. Where have you people been? Certainly not in the REAL world. I am constantly amazed at how uninformed you guys really are.

You certainly gave your post here the right title, Jwhop. We are being lied to and on a daily basis by the neo-cons running the government.

We do take the word of those that have been there and done that. Only those guys don't count in your narrow little mind, Bear Leo, because many of them are saying what you don't want them to say and what you don't want to hear.

Why aren't you in Iraq fighting right now, Bear Leo, since you are so macho and gung ho about the war? Is that above your station in life? lol

Some more photo journalist lies. I'm not going to post the pictures but you can see them at the link below and note the time stamps when the photos were taken. These guys photographed the same dead girl..dead? I now wonder but you'll get the picture if you take a look and read the copy and captions.

Milking it?

Certainly, the photographs are distressing, and indeed they are meant to be. As this piece tells us:

Until recent years, images of civilian casualties in wars often took days to appear in newspapers, but now they can be captured and transmitted around the world to newspaper Web sites, where they are posted immediately, adding to the shock value that sketchy words by reporters often cannot capture. This happened again Sunday morning in the case of the Israeli air strike on the Lebanese village of Qana that left dozens dead, reportedly at least half of them children sleeping in their beds overnight.

The photos, taken by The Associated Press, Reuters, and others, showed bodies in the rubble, or being taken away; survivors digging or wailing…
But the photographers, it seems, are not too fussy about how they go about "adding to the shock value". These two sequences illustrate the extent to which photographers on the scene are prepared to ensure that the "shock value" is maximised.

In this first of the two sequences, we see a shot by Reuters and taken by Adnan Hajj, timed at 2:21 pm. It has the caption:

Rescuers pull the body of a toddler victim of an Israeli air raid on Qana that killed more than 60 people, the majority of them women and children, in south Lebanon, July 30, 2006.
Note the "rescue worker" in the foreground, complete with olive green military-style helmet and fluorescent jacket, with what appears to be a flack jacket underneath. His glasses, "designer stubble", blue tee-shirt and jeans make him quite a distinctive figure. Note also, he has a radio in his jacker pocket and he has bare hands, things which becomes relevant later.

The next shot in this sequence is credited to AP's Kevin Frayer. Timed at 4.09 pm, it shows the same "rescue" worker, and has this caption:

Lebanese Red Cross and Civil Defense workers carry the body of a small child covered in dust from the rubble of his home that was hit in an Israeli missile strike in the village of Qana, east of the port city of Tyre, Lebanon, Sunday. Lebanese Red Cross officials said 56 people died in the Israeli assault on the village, including 34 children. Rescuers dug through the debris to remove dozens of bodies.
This is horrific, but a scrutiny of the framing does suggest that the subject is offering the victim to the photographer.

Just in case you missed it, however, we get another view, courtesy of Reuter's Adnan Hajj, with a time given of 4:30 pm - some 20 minutes after the first shot. The caption reads:

A rescuer carries the body of a toddler victim of an Israeli air raid on Qana that killed more than 60 people, the majority of them women and children, in south Lebanon, July 30, 2006.
Interestingly, in this sequence, the pocket radio is missing. And, although the positioning of the child looks the same, the angle of the shot looks to be about ninety degrees from the first, but in each case, the "worker" is facing towards the camera. The shots are clearly posed.

But now, timed at 12:45 pm, an hour and twenty minutes before the child's body is pictured being pulled from the ruins, we get a picture from AP's Kevin Frayer of the same child's body being paraded by our ubiquitous helmeted rescue worker.

Lebanese Red Cross and Civil Defense workers carry the body of a small child covered in dust from the rubble of his home that was hit in an Israeli missile strike in the village of Qana, east of the port city of Tyre, Lebanon, Sunday, July 30, 2006. Lebanese Red Cross officials said 56 people died in the Israeli assault on the village, including 34 children. Rescuers dug through the debris to remove dozens of bodies.
At 12.53 pm, after an interval of eight minutes, Frayer photographs the child's body again, from a different angle. The caption is the same. This time, though, our helmeted worker is showing some distress, which was absent in the previous photograph.

The photographs show the characters moving down the hill, with little distance between the scenes, which suggest that they have been taken sequentially and spontaneously. But they have not. The eight minute interval has allowed a crowd to gather around "green helmet". Furthermore, "orange jacket" has switched from left to right. Note also the tee-shirted man in the centre of the picture.

Then, timed at 1:01 pm, eight minutes on, we get another picture from Frayer. Once again, the caption is the same but this time the child's body is being paraded aloft by our ubiquitous helmeted rescue worker, but the tee-shirted character had moved from centre to right and is taking his turn to displaying his emotion to the camera. The UN soldier in the background has turned away, confirming a time lapse. The scene is clearly staged, as have been those preceding it.

Next, we have the second of the two sequences, the first shot of which, timed at 7.21 am shows a dead girl in an ambulance. Taken by AP, the caption reads:

Among others, the body of a child recovered under the rubble of a demolished building that was struck by Israeli war plane missiles at the village of Qana near the southern Lebanon city of Tyre, is placed in an ambulance Sunday July 30.
In the next frame, we have the same girl, this time apparently being placed in the ambulance. Also taken by AP,this time by Mohammed Zaatari the caption here reads:

A Lebanese rescuer carries the body of a young girl recovered from under the rubble of a demolished building that was struck by Israeli warplane missiles at the village of Qana, near the southern city of Tyre, Lebanon, Sunday, July 30, 2006. Dozens of civilians, including many children, were killed Sunday in an Israeli airstrike that flattened houses in this southern Lebanon village - the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting.
Intriguingly, though, the dateline given is 10.25 am, three hours after she has already been photographed in the ambulance.

Also from AP's Nasser Nasser, we see the same worker, showing obvious distress, carrying the same girl. But now he is wearing his fluorescent jacket and helmet and has acquired latex gloves. He has also got his radio back. The photograph is timed at 10.44 am and the caption reads:

A civil defense worker carries the body of Lebanese child recovered from the rubble of a demolished building that was struck by an Israeli airstrike at the village of Qana near the southern Lebanon city of Tyre, Sunday, July 30, 2006. Israeli missiles struck this southern Lebanese village early Sunday, flattening houses on top of sleeping residents. The Lebanese Red Cross said the airstrike, in which at least 34 children were killed, pushed the overall Lebanese death toll to more than 500.
Here we are now, same "worker" and same girl, but this time it is done for the benefit of EPA, the photographer, Mohamed Messara, the worker rushing towards a uniformed Red Cross worker. This caption (without a time) reads:

A rescue worker carries the body of a Lebanese girl after an Israeli air strike on the village of Qana, east of the southern port city of Tyre, on Sunday 30 July 2006. At least 51 people were killed, many of them children, and several others wounded in the raid Sunday, witnesses and rescue workers said.
But now, for the benefit of AFP, the photgraph taken by Nicolas Asfouri, we have the same unfortunate child being handled by another worker, the original worker showing in the background, having passed the casualty on. The timing of the photograph is 7.16 pm (now apparently corrected to 6:46 am) and the caption reads:

A rescue worker puts the body of a dead girl on a gurney after Israeli air strikes on the southern Lebanese village of Qana. Israel agreed to temporarily halt air strikes in south Lebanon a day after 52 people were killed, many of them sleeping children, when Israeli warplanes bombarded the Lebanese village of Qana, triggering global outrage and warnings of retribution for alleged "war crimes".
Remember, however, earlier in the sequence, the girl is being carried to the ambulance, by the other worker, sans jacket, helmet and gloves.

Finally, in this sequence, we get another shot from AP's Nasser Nasser, again without a timing but with this caption:

A civil defence worker carries a body of a young Lebanese child recovered from the rubble of a demolished building that was struck by Israeli war plane missiles at the village of Qana near the southern Lebanon city of Tyre, Sunday, July 30, 2006.
Whatever else, the event in Qana was a human tragedy. But the photographs do not show it honestly. Rather, they have been staged for effect, exploiting the victims in an unwholesome manner. In so doing, they are no longer news photographs - they are propaganda. And, whoever said the camera cannot lie forgot that photographers can and do. Those lies have spread throughout the world by now and will be in this morning's newspapers, accepted as real by the millions who view them.

The profession of photo-journalism thereby is sadly diminished by them, and the trust in those who took them and in those who carried them is misplaced. Truly, we are dealing with loathesome creatures.

"Certainly these photographs are distressing, but that's not what's important here." Right? It's all about what the exact time the photographer took his/her picture at. Some people have seriously lost their minds and can't tell what is signficant or not.

Where do these times come from? How do we know they weren't made up by the writer of this propaganda site?

Certainly, the photographs are distressing, and indeed they are meant to be. As this piece tells us:

You bet your sweet bippy they are MEANT TO BE....

Why in hell should they be?

I hope they do everything in their power to "add to the shock value.." because....

What extent?

Are the photographers killing people to make sure they have bodies to show?

If they're not - then WHATEVER else they do to ensure that the "shock value" is maximised can't possibly be enough!

++++++++++

quote:

Why it certainly does, doesn't it...

And good for him...I'm glad there was a photographer there to capture it...so that the people might see what has taken place.

"...exploiting the victims in an unwholesome manner."

The "unwholesome" thing about this.....is the fact that they are dead at all!

.....and how showing the world the TRUTH via photographs of the murdered victims is "exploiting them" is a mystery to me....

....finally....the most ridicules part of the above quote is

"...the photographs do not show it honestly. Rather, they have been staged for effect...."

No kidding Sherlock!

Staged for effect!

Well good!

I certainly hope the effect has had "some effect" on those who VIEW the gruesome photographs because if this is what it takes to wake people up...then the "staging" has served its purpose...

Now what really chilled my bones when reading that "expose" was the way in which the writer kept emphasizing SO COLDLY....

"At 12.53 pm, after an interval of eight minutes, Frayer photographs the child's body again"

then...

"Then, timed at 1:01 pm, eight minutes on, we get another picture from Frayer. Once again, the caption is the same but this time the child's body is being paraded aloft by our ubiquitous helmeted rescue worker..."

It is so apparent that the "child's body" in this mans' eyes is just a thing....and was never a living being....because in his gusto to minimize the reality of what happened to these victims....all the emphasis of this "report" is on the "timing sequences" of the photographs,

What a cold hearted automaton!

WTC 7, although damaged slightly by falling rubble, stood for about six hours on September 11th, then around 5 p.m. it suddenly fell. No official explanation for this has ever been given. This building was completely destroyed, and came down in the manner of a controlled demolition.

That does it. I'm tossing my TV into the river.

And since we all realize that the "truth" isn't handed to us on a silver platter in the news, where the hell do we get off claiming "i'm right, you're wrong", when we have no idea what the truth really is?????

And since we all realize that the "truth" isn't handed to us on a silver platter in the news, where the hell do we get off claiming "i'm right, you're wrong", when we have no idea what the truth really is?????
Lioneye

Just wondering here, maybe it`s not ment to be right or wrong, pass or fail...

What if it`s simply all about the Experience? The experience of growing as Humans, laboring under the promise of a Higher Cause for each to reach their Potential?

And I would hazarad a guess, that Potential isn`t bickering, cussing and bullying your neighbor because s/he`s a ** insert your name choice here**.

What is Truth???

LOL. When we go against our own?

I will remind you lotus that going against your own government for being murderers doesn't mean going against your own.

I don't consider them part of me.

I rather die then support murderers.

I don't know how you could even support that.

Especially being a being of love and light.

*Rolls eyes

You people need to wake up seriously.

Hitler jr isn't gonna save you when they come and get us real bad one day.

I doubt he'd allow you in his bunker.

I'm sorry, but I'm not capeable of the level of hatred you are, VL. That's not healthy, you know. You should see someone about that.

Edit: Actually, I'm not sorry. I'm glad.
